Ed002, are Chelsea still interested in signing zarchayan, the Ukraine midfielder. please ignore the spelling. thanks.

oscarAY

{Ed002's Note - Arsen Zakharyan is Russian and yes there remains interest but he won't be signing this summer and I suspect could head elsewhere.}

1.) 25 May 2023 12:13:48
Could his nationality be the reason we may not go through? Thought he's due for a change of nationality to any neighbouring country to get the move.
Don't know but the lad looks like kdb and we must try to get him.

09 Nov 2022 15:24:27
ED002 do Chelsea have interest in Martin Terrier? thank you.

oscarAY

{Ed002's Note - They are one of many clubs to have looked at him.}

1.) 10 Nov 2022 08:51:59
thank you.

Good day Ed02, thanks for the immeasurable warmth you have been showing to us here. please I'd like to know if Chelsea considers sergio Gomez of anderlecht.

oscarAY

{Ed002's Note - No.}

03 Jul 2022 13:13:19
Ed02, thanks for your vital inputs, you are the reason we continually enjoy transfer periods.
please I'd like to ask if serge gnarby is of interest to Chelsea. Though, seems he has grown frustrated at bayern and not ready to extend his contract. Thanks for your love and perseverance.

oscarAY

{Ed002's Note - Serge Gnabry (RW/LW) Seems to fail to settle at any club and is not open to signing a new contract without a significant increase in salary, and it is his very significant financial demands that are proving to be a problem over a new contract. Barcelona have him on their list of options, but they are going to have to balance summer transfers carefully and his wage demands will be an issue, so they can be discounted. The wages are less of a problem for Juventus where tax laws are beneficial but they have preferred options. Real Madrid consider him an option to Mbappe as they look to shake up their wingers, but there are others ahead of him on their list, but the player wants to move to Madrid. Versatile enough to be considered a Martial replacement at Manchester United and on the list for Liverpool as a potential Salah replacement - but neither would want to break the bank for him and not being in the CL will end any vague interest Manchester United have. Manchester City have a much preferred option to replace Sterling, but he may not be attainable. Has been offered to Chelsea and PSG by his agent, but both see the wage demands as far too high. Although interested, a return to Arsenal does not make sense for the player and with no Champions League, and huge costs it seems less likely.}

1.) 03 Jul 2022 14:08:32
Real Madrid have other players ahead of Gnarby on their list? I would like to know who is on the Real Madrid list as they might be the players whom we want/ need?

2.) 03 Jul 2022 15:20:58
Fairly sure Ed002 mentioned Antony and Mané.

04 Nov 2021 14:07:50
Ed 2 thanks for your input here, please I'd like to ask which other striker cfc are interested in, you mentioned haaland, reports suggested that tuche is requesting a striker signing in the new year! thanks for your swift response.

oscarAY

{Ed002's Note - They are looking at several but there is nothing firm.}

1.) 04 Nov 2021 21:04:29

I would say injuries are core part of the game, but our immediate injury record is a concern. It made it looks like we have a mediocre medical team which I am sure it is not the case. So disappointed to loose chuka as well, I am always concerned whenever my team bid for players with serious past injuries, but business people don't always think that way I presume. I wouldn't have bought Wesley, pulisic, Chilwell, however that is my personal opinion, because I believe you'd face enormous problem if you build around players that are fast to the surgical table.
A quick look at our team, I believe we will fair better this term. The only concerns are with Wesley, James, Chilwell, Nkunku and maybe Broja. They are all exceptional players but we need to reduce our dependence on those players in order to achieve togetherness.

oscarAY

1.) 23 Aug 2023 22:44:32
We have been plagued by injuries in recent years more so than any other club. Unfortunately our injuries seem to be long ones and to the most crucial players in the squad. Like this season the first two players on the team sheet would be James and Nkunku. I feel if everyone was fit we would be right up there. We have just got to stick with the team and the manager Im confident it will come good.

folks, who could be the elusive 3 players Chelsea are targeting to compete the ST, GK and DM position? let's look beyond nkuku ( though our most reliable source claimed he's seen as a striker! also, the MG lad isn't a DM, he's more in kante's mould, and am really lost here, who the Gk might be!
my guess:
GK- MEASLIER (LEED UTD)
DM- LAVIA (SOUTHAMPTON)
ST- JONATHAN DAVID ( LILLE)

oscarAY

1.) 29 Apr 2023 12:36:21
Kobel/ Maignan/ Oblak
Rice
Kane

Nkunku isn't a striker, atleast isn't the striker we need. Will be a good player us but if we go into the season again without a recognised striker I'll be out of ideas.

2.) 29 Apr 2023 12:29:24
GK - maignan
Dm - rice
St - toney.

3.) 29 Apr 2023 13:45:25
GK - Raya
DM- Lavia
ST- Oshimen.

4.) 29 Apr 2023 14:56:50
Oshimen, will not be coming to coming to Chelsea according to the Napoli fans. They think he is worth €160mil.

5.) 29 Apr 2023 15:52:49
Tom he may not come to Chelsea but he won’t be staying at Napoli.

6.) 29 Apr 2023 17:31:19
Respect you’re opinion but Meslier is dreadful.

Need a strong spind with leaders throughout.

GK - Maignan or Martinez
DM - Rice or Ugarte
ST - Kane.

7.) 29 Apr 2023 19:52:17
GK Costa
DM Rice
ST Ramos/ Vlahovic/ Osimeh/ Toney.

8.) 29 Apr 2023 23:58:47
Jimbo, I’m not sure about that. I have never heard or seen such adoration for a player.

Anyway, definitely can’t get tickets for the game, something about not being residents but apparently the street party tomorrow night is going to be bonkers.

For one night I’m a Napoli fan!

9.) 30 Apr 2023 09:27:58
Tom as the poet Bob Dylan said: “ Money doesn’t talk; it swears “.

10.) 30 Apr 2023 09:37:49
GK - Kobel

DM - Rice / Kone

ST - Kane / Evanilson.

11.) 30 Apr 2023 21:31:20
Jimbo, trust me locally this guy is talked about as the second Maradona.

I’m told that when Argentina won the WC the
local population went bonkers because of the historical Maradona relationship and they talk about and love him in the same way! ’.

13 Mar 2023 07:33:17
Rumours linking Chilwell to Manchester City is giving me a ridiculous feelings, a very large part of me want him around while a small fraction believes we can't win the league if our best 11 can stay fit for a long spell. Kante, James, Chilwell, kova, pulisic, cheek are top top professionals but won't stay away from surgical table, it's disturbing because I can't recall any top team in Europe with such record! Ed 001 I'd like to hear your view on this and good to see that your predictions on cucurella is manifesting, can he replace Chilwell?

oscarAY

{Ed001's Note - I think people like Chilwell are better off being moved. His lifestyle means he will always be likely to pick up injuries and it can rub off on other players. You need a settled core of players to compete at the top end. If Cucurella reaches the level he was at with BHA then he will be an improvement on Chilwell and excellent replacement.}

1.) 13 Mar 2023 14:57:42
Not a chance should he leave he’s by far our best left back and look how much impact he’s had going forward last two games. Cucurella has improved but still nowhere near good enough. Cucurella only seems to look better on the left of a back three also.

2.) 13 Mar 2023 16:24:25
Hi Ed001 excuse my ignorance about BC's lifestyle but can we presume it's a bit wild or careless of good health?

{Ed001's Note - it is unprofessional shall we say.}

3.) 13 Mar 2023 18:46:49
Ed001, is dead right. Chilwell is an accident waiting to happen also we have the option of Maatsen. It would be helpful to get some transfer fees coming in given the lack of CL football next season.

4.) 13 Mar 2023 19:26:54
It would be a very reasonable guess that one of the three may well be sold at the end of the season.

My guess would be IM but it will be a difficult decision.

5.) 13 Mar 2023 21:09:28
Tom, I personally don’t see it as a difficult decision: leaving aside personal preferences it makes good business sense to sell Chilwell while he still has suitors.

6.) 13 Mar 2023 21:58:33
Not necessarily and all three would probably have suitor’s.

There could well be more of a financial upside to selling IM but I really don’t care who it is. If it’s any of them, they are all good players as far as I’m concerned.

7.) 13 Mar 2023 23:23:49
Would never sell Chillwell.

Best left sided player we have in the team by far mile.

8.) 15 Mar 2023 20:21:01
What’s this lifestyle he has?

My Reasons To Let Graham Potter Stay at Chelsea

{Ed's Note - oscarAY has posted a new article entitled, My Reasons To Let Graham Potter Stay at Chelsea

1.) 01 Mar 2023 09:18:19
I think that's the best post I've ever read on here mate and have been on here about 15 years if I could write as eloquently as you that would be exactly what I would write

NICE ONE.

2.) 01 Mar 2023 09:45:10
OscarAY, a Brilliant post that I hope many of my fellow posters will read and enjoy.

It put into words exactly how I feel. Thanks mate.

3.) 01 Mar 2023 09:52:43
Thanks for the article oscarAY. The main issue I have with the team is around not seeing identifiable methods, structures and patterns of play. Conversely, that is definitely affected by the bloated squad and injuries, particularly to key players.

A pre-season with a trimmed down, settled squad would be the ideal position, hopefully with Potter and his team in place.

4.) 01 Mar 2023 11:27:21
Spot on Steve.

5.) 01 Mar 2023 18:45:13
Great post oscarAY, well put together, thought provoking and articulate. Nice to see an intelligent post.

6.) 01 Mar 2023 18:52:22
Creating a list of excuses doesn't change the reality of the situation.
He isn't and never will be an elite coach.
The argument to give him more time takes no account of the damage he has already done and the further damage he will do to the club both from a sporting and financial standpoint
When he finally leaves Chelsea will our nearest competitors City/ Utd/ Liverpool/ Arsenal be clamouring for his services?
Of course not if he's lucky maybe the 2nd tier club like Spurs but more likely WestHam.

7.) 01 Mar 2023 19:03:06
They are not excuses they are well articulated opinions.

8.) 01 Mar 2023 19:58:20
K drog
Second tier team like spurs who are 4th in league just beaten us comfortably and have a stadium 50 per cent bigger than ours
Be humble when it is needed mate.

9.) 01 Mar 2023 20:08:07
Tom, it was obvious what your response to Drog would be but we all agree with people who share our opinions, he made some valid points but it is a matter of opinion, what this site is all about. I think he should be careful referring to Spurs as second tier: they have a world class 21st century stadium, a top coach and the only thing they lack is investment in the squad. I fear unless there are drastic improvements we will be chasing their tails next season as well.

10.) 01 Mar 2023 20:44:00
When he leaves our nearest rivals will be / are Fulham Brentford villa.

11.) 01 Mar 2023 20:51:37
They are excuses for the most disastrous series of performances by a Chelsea team for decades.
We have barely scored for the last 10 games let alone perform.
But let's ignore the fact that most of our new signings have got progressively worse under Potter and with the exception of Tiago no one is performing from the old guard.
And let's ignore that his best run of results was when he took over TT team and since he has had time with them confidence and performances have fallen to an unacceptable low.
But let's give him more time to do more damage?
No thanks.

12.) 01 Mar 2023 21:41:24
Jimbo, I’m just stating the obvious that Oscar put forward well articulated opinions.

Opinions are allowed on both sides of any debate.

I will give my opinion if I agree or disagree with any poster and certainly don’t care if my opinions are obvious.

I’m also not forcing anyone to respond to my opinions.

13.) 01 Mar 2023 21:56:31
Drog, you like everyone else are entitled to there opinion but if another poster puts up different opinions to you they are not “excuses” because you disagree with them.

They are valid but different opinions.

14.) 01 Mar 2023 21:57:31
It's going to be hard to sack GP due to amount of money involved in sacking.

15.) 02 Mar 2023 07:52:51
Good Post mate,

Anyway you only need to look at our position with him as manager compared to all premier league teams.

And we would be in relegation fight!

We spent more than can be imagined.

But worst is that our team has no identity or tactics.

I have asked members and even eds on this site for past 2 months (maybe more) to explain our tactics and never got the answer.

Reasons why he should be sacked are:

1st. Our results which are relegation form.

2nd. Our tactics or lack of it.

3rd. Neither of the players improved under his guidance (actually most got worse)

4th. He never coached a top team and seems to be out of his depth.

5th. His changes during the match are terrible (putting left back on instead of midfielder when we are losing the game)

6th. Has 100 excuses rather than blames himself (minus Spurs game)

7th. He is only here because Toed is scared to sack him as this would show that he made a mistake by sacking TT (this though is my own point not based on any evidence)

16.) 02 Mar 2023 08:14:40
Lrdit reckless spending has nothing to do with GP.

17.) 02 Mar 2023 08:30:43
Lrdit, a good counter argument and you make some reasonable observations in my opinion.

Just a couple of things.

1) I can remember Jose and TT making similar and surprising substitutions in games and I’m sure there have been plenty of so called top managers at other clubs doing the same thing.

2) The club hasn’t spent more than it can afford.

3) Coaches of so called top teams very rarely start there career at top teams.

4) There is zero evidence that TB is scared to sack GP or anyone else. Ask TT.

5) using ETH as example is convenient, why not use Arteta, Klopp and I’m not sure Pep pulled up any trees in his first season.

6) some of GP’s post match comments have made me angry but then so did the Jose rants, the TT snipes or the Sarri boredom. For me generally managers make things worse when they over protect individuals.

Our club has had success at winning trophies and sacking managers under RA. Maybe some fans think it’s good or the secret to our success.

Or, maybe we could have been even more successful if we had stuck with some of our managers for longer period.

Anyway in tough times I will focus now on supporting my club, manager and the players even more now.

18.) 02 Mar 2023 11:35:46
One billion worth of players in our squad currently 10th/ 11th in the league and we have scored 6 TIMES IN 15 MATCHES.
No 'opinion'these are FACTS.
This hasn't just happened has it?
It's been an ongoing erosion of confidence and performance levels EVEN in the players we signed in January with the exception of Badiashile so far.
The common denominator is the manager not an 'opinion' a fact.
The manager making excuses not only solves nothing but sends entirely the wrong message to the players who despite the transfer fees need leadership see Emma Hayes interviews if in doubt.
The owners took a huge gamble in signing a promising mid table manager whose previous team had a good season but struggled to score regularly and guess what has happened at Chelsea despite our resources.
I have no idea why anyone is surprised by the situation or feels the need to defend the appalling state of affairs.
The job is too big for him accept it and move on.

19.) 02 Mar 2023 12:02:23
Drog, as I’ve said several times before you are probably going to get what you want.

We will then move onto another manager who may or may not be successful. There are no guarantees in football.

It will be interesting to see how some posters react if after X amount of games things haven’t changed. I suppose then it will be the owners fault for buying unproven players.

In my opinion this constant desire for instant success is not sustainable and if I’m honest just tiring.

As I’ve said I will just carry on supporting the club, manager and players. What will be will be.

20.) 02 Mar 2023 12:42:02
Enjoyed the read I don’t think Kai and mount have had a health season I’d get what money we get in the summer for them.

21.) 02 Mar 2023 13:19:05
The owners approach to the transfer market is certainly questionable and lacks any real team building philosophy other than to buy high profile young players.
No experienced manager would countenance such an approach which is one reason we have the current one.
A sensible transfer policy and a good manager has transformed a talented but under performing Utd squad into winners already.
And the key signing is 30yo .
So in summary the new owners have created a perfect storm by employing an inexperienced manager and buying too many young unproven players.

22.) 02 Mar 2023 13:37:42
Drog, not everything that could be wrong at any club is down to the manager and to a certain extent the owners.
You can’t just pull up FACTS as if that is the entire argument and you just can ask people who have a different opinion to you “to move on”. Obviously I could just as easily say GP is our manager get on with it “move on” and that wouldn’t be reasonable either.

The opinion/ post of Oscar also had FACTS

It’s also a FACT that other managers have been given time to succeed.

I respect your passion and your opinion but let’s try and except other people will have different opinions and they just might be right.

23.) 02 Mar 2023 17:31:33
K drog u keep going on about man u and eth if you like them that much go over to them. Otherwise just support the crest. And wish your team well. All "OUR" moaning on here doesn't change a thing.

Can chelsea afford to have two African strikers in the same team? AFCON is always at the odd football period of the year, having two strikers away from the team at the same time of need doesn't sound wise to me. I'd go for VIKTOR of sporting!

My choice would be Toney or lautaro! additionally, if premium offers comes in, I would sell James and chidwel due to persistent injury problems. This team will go no where if its best players aren't readily available. lot of inconsistencies in team. Our 3 most influential players namely kante, James and chidwel have always been away to Injuries! how can such team thrives? then we have others like kovacic, ziyech, pulisic, cheek, fofana that are often injured couple with some players with inconsistencies like CG, Kai, sterling, chalobah, cucu. how can this team fight for a marathon league championship. stability is the key.

I wish I had known you when we had jt, lamps, Cole/ s as the core of the team, would have analyse objectively your view of football. What sort business module do you employ? who fire a manager after two months! even the trigger Happy roman wouldn't. Try to be open minded, every manager deserves time and to follow his culture, afterall this guy hasn't got a single transfer window! the little know English lads worked magical for him at Brighton.

I thought Chilwell had a shocker as well, Neto had him all afternoon. Colwill might just be our best shot for back four system. I often wondered the reason for the Southampton bloke, now I realise that caicedo will always use a shield beside him, he seems more kante than a Maka and can't hold the defensive midfield on it own. I think I'd question poch's ability to get a team out of this folks, it's scattergun at the moment.

Investments needs time to mature, Man city, Arsenal, Liverpool all bidded their time to get it right, so let's give the project time. Am sorry if I sound too personal.

if i were to be at helm of power at stafford bridge, i'd take up a loan to buy option on verrati because of his experience, possible mentorship and leadership qualities. i'd bid high and sign kudus to get back at brighton and hope that adams will come back strong and healthy. i wouldn't go near lavia! as i fear he might be injury prone. i just have a feeling that we might stumble on another matic unexpectedly. cg, enzo, chukwuemeka, santos, verrati, adams should be adequate for three competitions. defensive midfielders are gradually becoming a sacred.

I have not been pleased with the speed to which we are getting players in, no doubt the recruitment team must have been putting great shift. But caicedo isn't the only under 22yo DM around? he was recruited for under 5m, and now they are been ridiculous because of some perceived desperation. I wish we could look at other options earlier as the protracted negotiations won't do us any good. scout should look around for quality young dm. At worst I'd take partey for a year loan while the scout do their job. Brighton are been ridiculous, colwill is a no go area for whatever trick they have up their sleeve.
who knows anything about dusan tadic transfer, he seems available after ending his deal with Ajax. His stat is ridiculously great and at 28, he's a bait worth bitting.
