Ed002, if possible could you provide any info on Chukwuemeka ahead of the summer? I've always felt he has a bucket load of potential but wonder if he could be lined up for a departure given his struggles this season?

Personally I hope he stays as I think he can make a huge difference to the squad if he can stay fit.

RBD, on the few times he has played this season he has contributed a lot to our attacking play. Like you I rate him highly and I see him as an important player for us for seasons to come.

I was just wondering how Chelsea's defensive targets were shaping up, specifically if there was any interest in Yoro from Lille or the two Portuguese centre backs Diomonde or A. Silva, as has been touted by some reports.
I was also curious if there was any interest in the young left back Kerkez as you previously said we may be in for a left back.

Ed002 do you have any good news regarding chelsea? I know you're a chelsea fan so I don't think you'd be enjoying this season either but do you have anything? A chelsea return for Mr Mourinho perhaps?

{Ed002's Note - Jose Mourinho (C) I would not totally rule out a return to Barcelona for Jose Mourinho but they have a far preferred option and there will be a bitterness from some of the fans for what he achieved in 2011/12. He has turned down offers from the Middle East but further attempts are being made to take him to Al-Shabab. The owners of Chelsea have broken most links to the previous regime, although they did try to get a couple of folks to stay longer, but a move for Mr Mourinho would be a significant change of direction although he has support from a senior advisor to Chelsea and his representatives are offering him back to the club. The advisor feels if Rui Faria were to come as well, it would be a good move. Possible, but wildcard at best. Bayern Munich may offer an interesting option and should not be discounted but they also have preferred targets. Napoli offer an option, but it seems unlikely. Newcastle may offer an option but if they look to recruit Tiago Pinto to replace Ashworth they can forget Mourinho. Another wildcard might be Marseille but everything there is dependent on their new owners arriving.}

Ed reports are coming out that we're looking to sell Reece James this summer. I know he's been injury prone, but he is the club captain. Surely it's not true?

Standard It’s a tough situation with James. Ideally he’ll be over the worst of his injuries and can stay and have a long career here at Chelsea, but how long do we wait to see if he’s past his injuries? There’s got to be a point in which we decide we have to just let him go.

Ivan Toney has to be the number one priority this summer. Jackson is getting better with each game and will be ready to lead the line soon. Toney is EPL proven and will do the job for a couple of seasons. Don't waste crazy money on a striker, if we are going to spend big, get a proven CB in ???.

Despite a headers v Brentford and Villa, Jackson doesn’t have the physical and Ariel box threat Toney has, great back to goal 40 yards from goal to give and go or channel runs but when we’ve needed to cross v teams who have numbers in the box, Jackson isn’t in the mould of a Toney or giroud or adebayo awonyi Antonio who’s going to cause panic and win those headers. The ones where you turn a ok cross into a goal rather than scoring header from a cross pin pointed onto his head.

Martin I don't get the hype around toney and Jackson only need time to settle down and I think he will perform when we have a formidable team not what poch is doing now. Toney is not even a big fish in a small pond yet you are raving about him. He's not Chelsea level much less one to improve us. So your fabricated skills of toney is a joke to me.

I disagree Haaland is okay in the air. Just because teams in the top five don’t have a CF who is good in the air doesn’t mean they don’t want one. Why wouldn’t they, apart from posing a threat in the opponent’s box it is also useful defensively e. g Drogba.

For better or worse the so called modern CF has to have a more rounded game than being good in the air. A good first touch, good movement and pace now seem to be a bigger priority for the better teams in Europe not just the Premiership.

In this case I’m using the term “modern” to reflect the current trend.

It would be wonderful if a CF had every attribute but unfortunately that’s is very rare. It would appear that most successful teams and there managers have decided that being good in the air is as important as it used to be.

I’m not even sure my No1 choice (Osimhen) is that good in the air.

You may or may not remember but I went over to Naples at the end of last season, partly to join in what I thought was going to be a victory parade but Also to see my No1 choice as our CF play.

Needless to say the plan didn’t work out as I had hoped but I did take the opportunity to have many drinks with Napoli fans. I was very keen to bring the conversation around to the player rather than the team. They talked about his pace and work rate more than any other attribute. Obviously I had watched him throughout that season as I have tried to this season, including AFCON, when he was average. I have never thought of him as being brilliant in the air. If that’s another skill he has so much the better.
