Have we sold Hutchinson.

BLUEBOY1

{Ed002's Note - A few days ago.}

1.) 03 Jul 2024 19:08:51
Didn’t see that coming.

02 Nov 2016 19:05:30
Any body got any info on thorgan hazard? Is their a buy back? Or any interest? From us?

BLUEBOY1

1.) 02 Nov 2016 21:25:19
From what I can tell there is a bit back clause, we are keen but he is less keen.

12 Aug 2016 09:53:55
Fabregas to jive thus I hope not!

BLUEBOY1

1.) 12 Aug 2016 10:21:11
Football Italia are the same people who said Pogba was going to Barcelona and created the Zaza Matic swap nonsense. Just ignore them.

2.) 12 Aug 2016 12:06:25
I wouldn't mind actually if the price was okay. Very good player, and he would help us defeat the "smaller" sides that would just sit back. But against better teams he gets man marked out of the game too easily. He needs time and space to be really effective, and most of the time he won't get that with us.

3.) 12 Aug 2016 12:17:29
Or maybe he just needs the right balancebehind hi. To have that space. As far as I can see we need a passer from midfield to top. With out that were just that direct team.

4.) 12 Aug 2016 14:48:06
It's a step back if we sell cesc, Oscar is the midfielder we should look to move on if any. Cesc is top quality, you just need to build around him to get the best out of him. A midfield 3 of cesc, kante and a return to form matic would be good enough for me. I think a top quality centre back is a huge must ASAP.

5.) 12 Aug 2016 21:30:52
Sell Cesc, one of our best players? The naivety amongst one or two on here knows no bounds.

6.) 14 Aug 2016 00:50:05
Haven't you guys actually watched Cesc in matches? Yes, his passing can be majestic, but he loses possession just in front of our back four too many times. In the pre-season warm-up games, his startling inability to withstand being closed down, and maintain possession, nearly cost us a goal on several occasions. Meanwhile, Oscar has shown evidence that he his starting to regain his form - his work rate is 100% better than Cesc, he doesn't lose the ball that often (and when he does, he tries hard to win it back), his passing, although not as clinical as Cesc, is good, and he is far more aware of goalscoring opportunities. Give me Oscar over Cesc any day of the week.

7.) 14 Aug 2016 08:50:35
Oscar loses ball all the time. We have Kanye to cover cescs ground now. If we don't have cesc we have no link to forward players. Well go back to a midfield that doesn't create move forward. Be back to that passing back to defenders, then goal keeper, then hoof the ball up field because kante, matic, mikel don't know what to do with it.

Surely the Southgate rumours are a joke. He's just another lamps or potter.

BLUEBOY1

1.) 13 May 2024 18:37:42
Has to be nonsense where did you come across these rumours?

2.) 13 May 2024 20:39:22
I think it comes from a Simon Phillips podcast. He says that Southgate and Howe could be considered as our new manager and he also thinks that the club and Poch will reach a mutual agreement to part ways!

3.) 13 May 2024 21:54:32
Tom, leaving aside what might happen regarding Poch, the idea of Southgate is frightening. Although England weren’t the second best team in the 2021 Euros this was their best chance for a major international trophy against the worst Italian side for years and he blew it. England have a talented pool of players to choose from but he will make mistakes in selection before and during the tournament. Howe is the obvious vanilla candidate to succeed Southgate.

4.) 13 May 2024 22:33:24
As most posters know, I think Southgate is at best an average manager and I’m not a fan of Howe.

If it’s true and in some strange world they were being considered as alternatives to Poch, for me it would just prove my point that things can get worse!

5.) 14 May 2024 07:09:29
Letsxbe honest, with the potential coaches mentioned to replace Poch, most if not all fans would want Poch to remain in charge.

6.) 14 May 2024 18:29:17
Spot on Bill1955.

7.) 14 May 2024 20:07:19
Speaking of coaches, it’s surprising that Ancelloti has never managed the Italian national team although he was an assistant in the 90s.

27 Apr 2024 17:26:22
I was thinking about the mudryk has performed for us. Is he really that much of a headless chicken? He seems brilliant through the middle as he has plenty of space to move into. On the wing he runs out of space so quickly. Also his pressing on other players he seems to just walk and never attempt to close down. If he used his pace other teams would feel pressured and lose the possession more often. Is it management or is it mudryk.

BLUEBOY1

1.) 27 Apr 2024 21:09:58
BLUEBOY, so “far” his entire Chelsea career has made him look headless.

I’m putting it down to personal issues and a total lack of confidence. I’m also hoping he will show us more next season.

08 Sep 2023 17:05:59
So James wanted by Madrid, what's the Ed's thoughts and everyone else on here think on his injuries, of the last couple seasons. is he one of those players to be plagued the rest of his career?
I like gusto I think he's a great right back but James is better for sure.

BLUEBOY1

1.) 08 Sep 2023 17:56:38
Te thing is he might grow out of these injuries he is having and that would mean we would have let a world class right back go to Real Madrid

I certainly would not sell him for the figures mentioned.

2.) 08 Sep 2023 19:31:29
I posted a few weeks ago that our club is a business. Players will come and go. I would be disappointed to see James leave but these things happen!

3.) 08 Sep 2023 20:36:57
If he leaves Tom It has to be for a large fee, 60 mil fixed with add ons won't cut it.

4.) 08 Sep 2023 21:27:53
Bill, I hope he plays for us for many years to come but I’m struggling with getting to attached to any player at the moment.

5.) 08 Sep 2023 21:34:02
Bill, if you were a club interested in buying James, wouldn’t you be worried about his frequent injuries?

6.) 08 Sep 2023 22:13:31
Agree Jimbo but it then begs the question why would they want to buy him bearing in mind his injury record.

If Reece can overcome his injuries, which right back in the world is better than Reece? .

This is the reason I believe a fixed fee of £60mil plus add ones of a further £20mil is no where near enough.

7.) 09 Sep 2023 01:35:32
James is chelsea. He won't be leaving.

8.) 09 Sep 2023 05:35:51
Standard, I used to think like that about certain players but I’m struggling with that sentiment at the moment.

9.) 09 Sep 2023 08:08:53
This is old news! Pretty sure Madrid have had a declared interest in Reece James for a couple of years now.

10.) 09 Sep 2023 10:25:02
They have, before he was untouchable but as Tom said with the new ownership, who knows.

11.) 09 Sep 2023 10:38:05
It's always difficult to have such player as good as James that goes missing often through injury. Felt that bad for pulisic whom I had wanted for us to give little more time to overgrow his which to me looked likely. If we're to sell get a huge fee from Madrid not with the impression he's injury prone but for his quality. I will be happy to keep him expecting he overcome it if not for huge fee.

12.) 10 Sep 2023 00:11:13
Thing is bill, even at £60m it’s a record for a FB, (unless you count Gvardiol, who I thought was more CB) I wouldn’t want to sell James but ed001 had a convo before and was saying he might grow out of it or might be better suited (physically eg not get injured as much) at CB or CM.

If he can grow out of his injuries obvs keep, but then again, we had Kante; one of the best DM/ CM’s, and yet he played 10 games/ season for the last 2 years he was with us. If we’d sold him 2 years ago for 80m people would have been crying, but we let him go for free this summer. Hindsight is a man’s best friend, I think we keep James for another year at least, but if next summer RM offer 60m+ and he’s not been injury free then we got to take it imo.

13.) 10 Sep 2023 14:31:04
James is how old now? These injuries I don’t think are going away. I think he’s past that part of his career. Great shame. Too many too often.

02 Sep 2023 10:01:21
Would anyone else go get Eden hazard back for a season?

BLUEBOY1

1.) 02 Sep 2023 10:38:36
I definately would.

2.) 02 Sep 2023 11:34:01
Absolutely NOT.

3.) 02 Sep 2023 12:21:10
For a training cone, possibly. Does he even have legs any more?

4.) 02 Sep 2023 13:40:14
No. Next question?

5.) 02 Sep 2023 15:24:37
Why would be my question.

6.) 02 Sep 2023 15:34:59
We don't seem to have smart recruitment team anymore. Been saying that we should replace sterling with hazard since last season as even a 60 percent fit hazard is better than sterling. At worst he will be on the same wage. I don't get get carried away by Sterling one match good performance that some biased journos abd fans are already saying he's the leader of the team just by his performance against Luton Town is probably the worst team in the epl now.
I still think we have a good squad but hate the affinity for only young an unproven players. Wenger tried this model and he became a perennial loser until he left.

7.) 02 Sep 2023 16:53:43
He’d probs be better than this new shiny attack we have…billion spent same all issues…shocking.

8.) 03 Sep 2023 14:13:59
Hazard has left the room and probably competitive football at the highest level for good. Let’s just try and get over it.

31 Aug 2017 22:25:03
What's just happened to Ross Barkley? Eds any insides to it that you know of? lol.

BLUEBOY1

1.) 31 Aug 2017 23:13:45
Out till at least December. Available in January at a lower fee meaning a higher signing fee for both him and his agent. Makes sense for everyone, except Everton, to wait till January.

Great to see this team coming togther palmer caiciedo enzo sancho all put in a shift. Fofana and Collwill cucurella gusto look good. Accept being let down by Sanchez. He’s going to cost us further into the season no doubt. The games palmer doesn’t score we can’t rely on Jackson either.
