Even if this is true - this is the way modern football is - now head coached rather than final choice on player signings.

Very silly. Klopp and pep (most successful current EPL coaches) both choose there transfers, so surely that's the most successful way.

Others have confirmed this as well. But we will never know for sure.
If we look at the way RA has handled Chelsea since he came in, especially the past 10 years, it seems that most signings are sanctioned by the board or RA himself.

There’s a reason Harry dropped down and failed at qpr Portsmouth etc, sends clubs bust signing dross, outdated. How can someone talk of werner not being fit for prem when vardy is so highly regarded, and ziyech spoke about how frank courted him, constantly on phone about his project, as did werner, maybe Harry should of spoke to Frank about having cbs and then full backs wingers and strikers all wide spamming crosses in,

£9mill is a complete steal if it is true for gilmour in this day and age
If we do not get another midfielder in this will be a very poor window as we are desperate for another DM and a creative player (fabregas mould )
I understand we signed 2 new youngsters for midfield and maybe they get their chances but to pay 20 mill for player with about 20 less premier appearances is mad.

Chelsea were so good to Sam and gave him every opportunity to still play football even after all his injuries and having to give up at some stage.
