Hey Eds, does anyone of you know anything about the rumour of the transfer window deadline day, being moved to before the start of the season, rather than August 31st?

{Ed002's Note - Try the Liverpool page - I already answered what I know.}

Every player we have brought in will fight for the team and have proven that for their previous clubs! . let's get past the ten game mark before we start panicking! . let's not forget who was the favourite to get the sack after a few dismal games last season! . UP THE CHELS!

Anyone who was doubting Lukaku' ability must feel like a mug now, he's definitely one of the best strikers in the world right now, he should have been Chelsea's number 1 target.

LOL after 1 game BRILLIANT! And against a piss poor West Ham side.

Agree6 Disagree1

14 Aug 2017 21:27:49
Going against what I'm sure is the majority view, I never wanted Lukaku back.
Other than the fact he has the first touch of David Pleat. He apparently wasn't universally liked by everyone at the club!
Morata was always my preferred choice but it's all about opinions!

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - He was never coming back. I explained that over and over since long before he left.}

14 Aug 2017 21:31:57
Lukaku shouldn't have been doubted, i agree with that but I'm much happier having Morata as our striker than Lukaku. Lukaku is a better goal scorer where as Morata has more to his game. Watching him link up with Hazard and Pedro excites me a whole lot more than Lukaku would have. Morata suits our style of play more by a mile.

Agree1 Disagree0

14 Aug 2017 21:13:40
LOL he's going to be top scorer this season.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 Aug 2017 00:00:17
Ed002 you did explain it a while ago. We never doubted you for once. Absolute legend mate.

Lukaku has had 1 good game but i don't feel like a mug at all. For me I've always wanted Morata.

The talk about us being stupid in letting Matic go to United after his game is hilarious. Don't think they ever saw him for us last season at all. I remember when he first came and how dominant he was for half a season. Letting him go was not an issue, he wanted to leave and wanted United so it was hard to say no for £40m.

The issue was letting him go when Bakayoko wasn't fit yet or not having another midfielder in to replace him. Not surprised he's performing well, he's a great player but didn't want to play for us anymore which led to his average performances last season. A shame it had to be United as he'll play such a big part in their title challenge but I'm not disappointed in selling him, I'm disappointed in the timing.

Believable3 Unbelievable0

14 Aug 2017 19:47:57
There's nothing hilarious about it. Don't be naive. The club was unable to keep him because former manager convinced him to join him. And RA was soft to Matic the same way he was soft to Čeh and Ivanovic.

Agree0 Disagree3

{Ed002's Note - I have explaine dthe situation - you seem to be making this up.}

Goodevening Ed;

Now that Barcelona have bought N. Semedo and Paulinho, is it safe to say that Sergi Roberto going to Chelsea is a possibility?

Thanks for your response.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - No, it is unrelated.}

14 Aug 2017 14:18:21
'OR' could Chelsea do WestHam 'a Tottenham' and trump then to signing William Carvalho of Sporting Lisbon?

Ed are we looking at chamberlain for rwb or midfield, as we want cancelo aswell who is anrwb
Would wenwant both or is it one or the other
Thanks.

Believable1 Unbelievable1

{Ed018's Note - they are both of interest but I'm not sure if we get one then it ends interest in the other. Chamberlain can play multiple positions so it very well could be both}

14 Aug 2017 15:37:06
Yeah that's what i want
Cancelo rwb
Ox cm rw.

Agree0 Disagree0

14 Aug 2017 18:43:41
Maybe I'm taking it a bit far, but I'd play almost anyone currently at Chelsea ahead of the Ox at CM. he's beyond clueless and doesn't have the tactical nous for the position in the slightest.

Agree0 Disagree0

14 Aug 2017 21:03:22
Why would AOC play CM? He'd be used as RWB, LWB, LW or RW surely?

Hi
Was wondering if anyone on here ed or not though that costa will stay here by end of the summer, he said potentially strike for a year?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - The decision was made in January when he wanted out. He won't be "on strike" for a year.}

14 Aug 2017 12:46:55
Costa is surely not coming back to Chelsea's first team.

Agree0 Disagree0

14 Aug 2017 13:42:18
It makes me laugh how pundits have such short term memories. Costa clearly wanted out in January but Chelsea needed to keep him due to lack of backup strikers.
No doubt Costa thought atletico would get their transfer ban overturned and he'd have been free to join them.
But now the situation is more complicated he's making out that conte doesn't want him and acting as though he's done nothing wrong.
The pundits have somehow forgotten about the problems Costa caused in January and are acting as though conte has caused the whole situation.

As much as I rate Costa I'm glad that the club have taken the stance they have. Why should he be allowed to say and do what he wants and face no repercussions.

Agree2 Disagree0

14 Aug 2017 14:06:12
Costa is a player I have supported throughout his Chelsea stay but his attitude after he didn't get his reported Chinese move was awful.
This is also a player who told the world he wanted to play for Athletico before last season started and when they didn't come him for him had to with his tail between his legs and apologise to Conte.
Conte twice last season deflected the media from Costas behaviour. One of which was a bust up with the coaching staff.
For him to come out now with all this " I'm being treated like a criminal" crap is disgusting.
I know it won't happen but I hope the club let him sit on a Braziliam beach for the remaining two years of his contract.

Agree1 Disagree0

14 Aug 2017 14:24:30
Is it true? I think it is the club who was pushing for a move to China for big money not Costa.
When Costa refused, club decided to sell him in Summer.

Thanks Ed 👍👍.

14 Aug 2017 15:07:24
Chelseaforlife, it this case they is NO ambiguity, Cost wanted to go to Athletico pre last season, HE then wanted to go to China for mega bucks and was told he could go at the end of the season. He also had a run in with the coaching staff. Conte defended him throughout the season.
The club told him and his representatives he could leave this season. He has been asked to come back and train at the club albeit with the kids and he has refused.
Chelsea fans STOP giving this bloke any support please!

Agree1 Disagree0

14 Aug 2017 15:13:21
Costa wanted to move to China in January for the money. But because Chelsea refused due to doing well in the league.

Think Conte played a blinder in keeping him in check for the remainder of the season. But think the media has turned this all around and now feel sorry for Costa.

Doesn't matter that he's asked to leave twice before, stated on several occasions how unhappy he is in London and wanted to go back to Madrid. That's all forgotten and it's all contes fault. 🙄🙄🙄🙄.

Agree0 Disagree1

14 Aug 2017 18:46:27
Can any of the eds clarify whether costa has one or two years left on his contract? I thought it was 2 but seen quite a few articles about him staying in Brazil for the season and leaving on a free next year? :s.

{Ed002's Note - To June 2019.}

Diego Costa is today quoted as saying 'I didn't want to leave. I was happy. '

Who would keep Costa and ditch Conte?

Of all the problems we have Morrata is the man to lead us up front and Conte is king.

14 Aug 2017 10:33:03
I'm kinda confused about all the media over the last few days. Especially when it comes to fitness people are saying he's put on weight but surely if your trying to force a move you'd be the opposite? I doubt athletico wants to buy someone who may not pass a medical. Is he not just putting himself into a harder position?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Atletico cannot buy him at this time as he cannot be registered.}

14 Aug 2017 10:37:33
Every year he made it clear he wanted to return to Madrid, even almost disrupted our title season in January when wanted to jump ship to china, only time he wanted to stay was when china had to pay 100% tax on signings and when athletico for transfer ban, he has been made available and begging for return to athletico, the fact they can't sort a loan out and athletico won't pay what's asked is not Chelsea or contes fault.

''Thank u Diego Costa for your contributions to Chelsea (u were well paid though) .
If there was an agreement that you will be gone by summer, why are u then causing all this drama now?
what difference does it make if someone reminded you of an agreement by text message?
My thoughts: COSTA- is that you are being selfish and might end up at a disadvantage.
Next time DIEGO- before u push for a transfer, be sure that the club coming for u won't run away at your valuation.
SORRY DIEGO, BUT IN THE END, YOU MIGHT END UP HARMING YOUR OWN SELF ;AND ATHLETCO MADRID AND CHELSEA WILL GO ON BEING BIG CLUBS. '
PLEASE Chelsea, don't bulge on your valuation for him (cos he's a trickster) . ATLEAST, NOT UNTIL HE WRITES AN APOLOGY LETTER.

Mrs Wood, Conte is the best thing to happen at our club for a long, long time.
I'm no longer embarrassed when a Chelsea manager talks to the media.
As much I supported Costa through the seasons, last season his attitude at the start, middle and end was a joke and disrespectful to the club, supporters and management.
Having players who want to be at my club are the players I will support. Not players who continually say they want to play elsewhere!

Chelseaforlife, please look at the clubs responce to his solicitors accusations.
The club would not put in print anything other than truth incase it ever got to court.
The media love this sort of rubbish but surely our own fans can see through all this and see it as just an effort for Costa to get his own way by painting Conte and the club in a negative light.

2 weeks wages for 'VICTIM'- Diego Costa. Now the club will play their own hand.

Not likely but hope the club let him ROT for the two remaining years of his contract!

Agree3 Disagree0

14 Aug 2017 18:05:35
Tom B, the story u r saying about Costa was leaked to the press via matt law and other Chelsea supported journos.
But I believe it was the other way around. In January Chelsea wanted Costa to accept a mega bid to move to China. However, Costa only wanted to go to Athleti if he moves.

Agree1 Disagree2

14 Aug 2017 18:19:17
i believe you are incorrect. im fairly sure if you read back on this page you might find some info on it. did costa actually not come out and say he was considering a move to china? or considerig big offers from overseas. him talking about it and throwing his toys out of the pram is why they said he was surplus to requirements. i fairly sure he knew it would be harder to get in the spain team playing in china and he also wants to go to athletico. so i don't think anything you have said so far is true. are you a troll? you seem unable to give up this stance on even though costa himself has contradicted what you are saying so im just wondering what your goal in this is.

Agree4 Disagree1

14 Aug 2017 18:38:05
We are free men. Believe what u think is good. I won't be speaking about Costa story again.
Ps. - I am not a troll.

14 Aug 2017 19:35:02
Pleased your not a troll. Whatever that is!
When as a fan you worship a player and he let's you down, I think I'm entitled to be p---sed off.
What this bloke is trying to achieve is a disgrace and as I've already said, I hope the club let him rot for the remaining two years of his contract.

Agree3 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - To try and clear this up, Costa kicked up a fuss in January and told the club he wanted to leave. Chelsea do not keep players who want to leave (e.g. Matip) and the deal is simple, once an acceptable offer is made to both the player and Chelsea, they can move on. Costa wants to move back to Atletico but they have not made any offer and cannot register him before January. In a discussion with Chelsea they asked Chelsea to keep him or loan him to January with the provision that he could not play in the Champions League - and then they could talk money. That was not in any way acceptable to Chelsea and there has been a discussion with Milan about a season loan or a sale. That is all there is right now.}

14 Aug 2017 20:03:43
Thanks Ed for confirming that It WAS Costa that told the club in January yet again he wanted to leave Chelsea.
