Statistically Enzo has been our most creative player this season, whilst only Joao Pedro has carried more threat in front of goal.
I recently said, on here, that I wouldn’t lose too much sleep if we sold him, but is there more of an argument for building the team around him and making sure the new coach has a plan to deploy him in his best position/role?

I think he will demand such a high salary; we will have to sell him, which is a shame. However, we can trust our SDs to replace him with the same or better quality of player, maybe not.

I watched the PSG v Bayern game last night and what a game, no faffing around passing across their own back lines, no continual back passes and when they got near the goal they had a shot! No worries about losing possession, what a refreshing watch it was and a huge upgrade on the total dross on offer in the Premier League.
Arsenal, with their horrible brand of boring football and Pep with his tippy tappy possession based nonsense have set the tone in this country and I sincerely hope it changes now. Bayern or PSG please to win the Champions League and maybe then styles will be copied.

And that shows the gap between Premier League clubs and those teams. There is a chasm at the moment when a few years ago, Premier League teams were ahead.

Tom, I can't make Monday's game and have just put my ticket on the exchange.
Apparently there is a meeting on 6th May between the club and supporters regarding the club's updated ticketing policy. Leaving aside pricing, I wonder what that's all about. Probably not good news!

Hopefully a lot of fans got to watch the PSG Bayern game. I had $1000 on Bayern to win and still massively enjoyed the game, which says a lot. Two teams that game plan seems to be just out score the opposition. Have to say Kompany seems an insanely impression human.
Seems like he speaks 4/5 languages fluently, which is massive at the top level working with players from a number of countries and although he was a defender he doesn’t seem interested in setting up his teams to defend at all.

Probably the best 45 mins of football I've seen in a very long time. How refreshing to see players moving the ball forward or taking players on and going both ways!
Maybe it will start a trend?

I'm just going with great attacking play, and it just shows, even when you go a few goals down against PSG, if your heads don't drop and give in, you can make it a close game.

The new coach appointment process will go on for a little while yet. At least it will keep this site busy after the season ends. I think most of us wouldn’t agree that the next appointment is crucial for the club and will give an indication of the direction we are going.
I must admit I am really unsure about who we should go for. We are not going to get Enrique or Negalsman so who are the next best options? Probably Iraola or Alonso.
Iraola has done wonders at Bournemouth: his teams play on the front foot and press aggressively. He knows the Premier League. Obviously, a risk though, he has never managed a big team or won anything.
Alonso, has achieved trophies winning the German League and Cup double. He was an elite player who should deserve respect from the players. Getting sacked by Madrid for not playing cry baby Vinicius Jnr is more of a positive than negative. Obviously, he has not coached in the PL but has experience from his playing days.
Three of the coaches being put in the frame I definitely don’t want.

Silva: bang average: Fulham is his right level.
Howe: bang average; only talked about because he is English: extremely boring: always moaning makes LR appear interesting.

Cucurella further linked with a Barcelona return today. Whilst he's one of the best LB's in the league, in the event that we have to settle the books with some high profile sales, I'm not loosing any sleep over his exit. Hato has markedly improved across the course of his first season in the EPL and the likely arrival of Barco offers depth there too.
We won't really know who's available for sale, and who isn't, until the new coach is announced. So many options rumoured, with lots of different potential systems. Some will suit a player like Cucurella, others won't, same can be said of Enzo Fernandez.
