When I see Ross Barkley play for England, he seems a different players from the Barkley that plays at Chelsea.

Not for me, he plays with a little more freedom going forward but that's it. Under the slightest bit of pressure he turns into a rabbit caught in the headlights. The guy has good attributes in his game but in a system which involves playing out of pressure he struggles when in a CM position. If you can keep him closer to the opposition box rather at CM then you'll get the best out of him. It's why he looked good at Everton playing in the CF role just behind Lukaku.

Different managers get players to perform differently. Plus managers install conidence in players and southgate is renowned for that!

Agree London. He never was good with the ball under pressure hence why he struggled under Sarri. His a different style of player.

Nobody else feel we have been severely ripped off 88m for hazard is a joke.

He can leave for free in a year and it’s 88.5 plus add ons rising to £130m by 2.5 years, it’s actually great business considering contract situation. Coutinho had 4 year contract and left for around the same amount?

Coutinho wouldn't lace hazards boots he the best player in the world next to ronaldo and Messi utd paid 80 mil for lukaku and he's dung if they wanted him they should have been made to pay more.

But if they stopped negotiations we could lose him for nothing and have unhappy player in club for a season not giving it 100%? I’m not comparing the players I’m comparing one with long contract and fee and one near to end still getting top money. Money is only good if we can spend it tbf.

I'm with Matt on this one. Given his contract situation, we done well to get the amount we did plus add-ons. You have to consider Hazard had no intention to stay at the club so keeping an unhappy player would have made the dressing room toxic.

Yes yes we are banned but Chilwell would be such an upgrade to Alonso,

Things moving along nicely, and in a logical fashion. Hazard deal to Madrid finalised, now onto Sarri and negotiate his release, should happen this week, then announce Cech in a technical management role, director of football, link between head coach and club, call it what you like, then negotiate Lampards release clause if he has one and our management team is complete with Jody as Lamps assistant. No inward transfers until Summer of 2020. Willian to sign a new 2 year contract and hopefully the club can offer an attractive deal to CHO to convince him to stay. All taking shape.

So finally the most obvious transfer in history has been agreed, EH to RM agreed at 89m.

Well as a club we can move on now. I hear the club will announce CHO's contract extension which of course will be a positive.

We need to sort the managerial saga out and then at least we can be be optimistic of direction for next year.

I think the next few days could be interesting Shak.

If we forget all the now boring Sarri and Hazard stuff, we could have some positive things to look forward to for next season.

I agree Tom. Hopefully within the nex few days we can resolve the expected and then enjoy a few positives.

I am confident that we will be fine next year.

How could a club announce an extention that has not been offered or signed

There is a third party assisting Chelsea to keep CHO from the likes of mainly PSG snapping him away and he is doing a good job despite interest from top major European clubs.

Who knows what's happening with the Kovacic deal? I think it will be a positive too if we sign Kovacic, I really want the club to complete his transfer too- I heard his deal has a deadline. Some of the clubs in England have seen his ability and I think a lot of English clubs will pounce if we don't sign him. I think there's more to come from him.

I think we will take him as our midfield will be without RLC for a while and we need solid guys in midfield.

All depends on fee for Kovacic.

no big deal if we don't get kovacic we could sign better in my opinion . cho is the obvious 1 sign him down to a deal and if ban is lifted a striker needs to be number 1. diego costa any1.
