I'm guessing there's some substance to the rumour of Emerson Palmieri's reported interest from Juventus. I think he's a very good player and should be getting more game (maybe not more than Alonso as Sarri prefers Alonso) . I think he's one player that the club shouldn't loose.
What do you think about him Ed001?

{Ed001's Note - I like him and think he is a more balanced player than Alonso. Also holds the width rather than forgetting he is meant to provide it.}

100% we have a habbit of spending 20mill on. left backs and then selling thm. regular occurrence.

Arsenal’s strength is in width, the like to focus on that. Alonso will need to be on top of his game and Azpi. But in his defence, Alonso is better in the big games it’s the other games when we struggle to break teams down and his poor crossing and taking players on frustrates, I do think Emerson deserves a chance,

Its only right that Emerson gets a chance soon. I have always liked the player, he has a lot of talent. It would be ashame not to see it at the Bridge.

And today Athletico Madrid and Juventus becomes interested too in Emerson Palmieri. - two of Europe's elite teams with coaches that are relatively better than Sarri (in trophy haul) . This is the kind of thing that I dislike about Sarri and Chelsea board (they won't want to address the issue until it gets out of hand) . Even a blind man has to see that Emerson Palmieri is a very good player (imagine the interest that a player that isn't a regular first team player is raking in)

I wonder if we'll see an increase in game time for him. Think he needs to get more consistent minutes to get him match fit. I'm comfortable with either Alonso or Emerson, but I think Emerson should be given a chance to prove himself in the league.

I have defended Alonso but I’ve also stated his current form should have given game time to Emerson.

It hasn’t happened when he is out of form so I can’t see it happening anytime soon!

Hopefully we don't come to regret losing Emerson if it comes to that, TomB!

Big Pete's announcement he will be retiring at the end of the season is quite sad.

A true legend for the mighty blues.

Wish him all the best in his retirement and I also hope he comes home to the Bridge in some capacity.

Absolute legend. He’s still good enough wish we got to see him as Kepa’s understudy. Hopefully he will return to the club in some capacity regardless.

Wonderful keeper, we were fortunate indeed to have him, extraordinary record. Fantastic in Munich. Yes, and very bright (and nice) bloke.

Looks very much as if he is going to be offered a coaching role, now need to get John Terry back as both would be excellent guiding the youngsters entering the first team squad ie: Hudson-Odoi.

I haven't seen a lot of Paredes I was wondering if any of the Ed's could give me an opinion on him. The deal looks very likely now. From what I have seen he reminds me a little of Naingollan but with better passing technique but I could be wrong.

{Ed001's Note - I don't remember ever seeing him play sorry.}

Matt Law saying Kane is out for a month with ankle ligament injury.

I fully expect him to be fit enough to play against us in the second leg.

The man recovers from injuries like no other player.
