Interesting that we're being increasingly linked with Koulibaly and Elseid Hysaj from Napoli - is this pointing to Sarri as next manager?

1.) 25 Apr 2018 13:03:17
Think ed said after his recent comments and opinion racial and sexist that he isn’t in our list of targets? Ed could confirm.

{Ed001's Note - that's what I believe yes. He has made loads of them throughout his career which would have caused mayhem here but no one bats an eyelid there.}

Supposedly after Richarlison from Fluminense - wow - only 20 but what a talent. Fingers crossed.

1.) 23 Jul 2017 12:09:36
is he really that good? i just watched about 45 minutes of him on you tube and even on there i didn't think he was that good, he didn't look as good as all the youngsters we already have.

2.) 23 Jul 2017 21:23:48
Do we need another non hg 20 yo?

I see that Dick Emery is the new Arsenal manager - Oooh, they are awful (one for the teenagers! ) .

20 May 2018 11:39:14
I think the most interesting thing about yesterday were the immediate post-match comments by Cahill, Fab and Hazard. Hazard moaned about the defensive tactics; Fab moaned that the defensive tactics made it difficult for the midfielders; and Cahill, when asked if the players wanted Conte to stay, refused to confirm that they did.

This all points to Conte definitely being on his way and, on the basis of that drab, defensive, negative display yesterday, I have to say 'Good Riddance'.

1.) 20 May 2018 12:00:48
Yeah, really good way to treat the man who’s won us 2 major trophies in 2 years and had he guts to take on some of the player power 👍.

2.) 20 May 2018 15:28:40
Oh, fiddledy-di - do you really want to watch the defensive dross we've been fed by Conte?! Guardiola and Man City have upped the anti - to compete, we have to adjust our whole approach and bring in some exciting attacking players and a creative midfielder. The alternative is to get used to vying for 5th place with Arsenal season after season.

And I personally do not consider the FA Cup a major trophy anymore - even Conte has said that he would have preferred a CL place. I would rather we had attacked yesterday and lost rather than be sent to sleep by the Conte Boredom Show!

3.) 20 May 2018 20:59:13
MDW, we have had a bad season in the Premiership, it happens.
We picked up a pot this year and the league last year.
On reflection we didn’t do a good job this season in the transfer market but this happens sometimes.
Rudiger looks a snip, Bakayoko improved albeit at the end of season and Emerson looks like a good investment, also, Giroud gave us something different.
Drinkwater at the moment looks like a lost cause, Zappacosta looks hopeless and Barkley has been carrying a long term injury. All clubs make mistakes!

14 May 2018 12:50:57
Ok - yes or no? I think we should give Arsene Wenger a 5 year contract and give him a free rein to sort out our club.

1.) 14 May 2018 15:18:04
Haha and NO.

2.) 14 May 2018 15:41:26
I doubt Wenger would be interested in Chelsea cos of his loyalty to Arsenal but there's no doubt that his brand of football coupled with the quality young players that have got and Chelsea's muscle to attract quality players would create something extraordinary at the club. So maybe it isn't a bad idea Miss Darren Wood but I don't think it's feasible.

3.) 14 May 2018 17:13:30
No no no thank u.

4.) 14 May 2018 17:24:25
No - his footballing ideas didn't develope with the times.

5.) 14 May 2018 18:22:20
Time / Football move on and he stayed still, no in my opinion,

6.) 14 May 2018 19:59:33
No, but in a worst case scenario I'd honestly take him for a season until a top top manager is available.

07 May 2018 10:57:06
Why didn't we bring Bakayoko's twin brother (the one that can play football! ) over earlier in the season!?

Also, what a steal Rudiger is - great performance.

1.) 07 May 2018 11:30:45
Everyone played their part yesterday, which was great to see.

2.) 07 May 2018 11:56:55
Rudiger who started seasom looking shaky on the ball and clumsy has been really consistent and will only be better next season, great signing, bakyoko has shown glimpses of his strengths and will be interesting to see if it is just first season, he was like his at Monaco, took time to adjust, also only 22 years old? Lose dead would improve starting 11 and have squad with youth to compete in league and europa, Huddersfield have a lot to play for and it’s those games we have slipped up in so Wednesday is as big as yesterday was,

3.) 07 May 2018 14:08:24
Baka had been played in am unfamiliar role this season. 10/ 15 metres ahead of where he was at Monaco and rather than breaking from deep is expected to receive it an play in far tighter situations. Not to mention some of the confidence destroying criticism he's taken. Give him a break and let's hope he's given a chance to get back at it.

4.) 07 May 2018 17:59:23
Agree Matt martin - but how like Chels to beat Liverpool and then slip up against Huddersfield and / or Newcastle (especially if Brighton do us a favour at Liverpool) .

5.) 07 May 2018 19:03:09
Think Newcastle can cause spurs a problem, hoping Rafa can do is huge favour, but we need to do the job Wednesday, hoping he goes on front foot, no 0-0 going into 75 min and crowd getting nervous.

6.) 08 May 2018 19:04:12
I would imagine that Huddersfield will have exactly the same game plan that they had at City - which means we will have almost total possession but will have to break down the parked bus.

19 Apr 2018 22:29:33
Best performance since December - totally controlled game - unlucky not to win by more.

Good performances from the much-maligned (often by me! ) Bakayoko and Moses - also Palmieri - and, of course, Kante.

1.) 19 Apr 2018 22:44:05
I believe so much in their (Moses, Bakayoko and Palmieri) ability for next season. Well done to Moses.

Rowey, if Conte did say anything like that to the players, he might of well have said 'We have to play this way cos you lot are crap'! So, no, I don't think he said that. Also, this is basically the same team minus 2 who romped away with the League last season.

Also, you say that our midfield is deficient but we have the best midfielder in the country in Kante.

Conte's whole history as player and manager is one of defensive football; he played and managed at Juve, with Italy, and now at Chels in exactly the same way. He doesn't know how to attack. And that's the reason that he must go.

My 15 year old arthritic golden retriever moves quicker than Fabregas! The only time that Fab has been effective is when the opposition has stood off him and allowed him to pick a pass but this only happens against very poor teams - I cannot believe that Drinkwater, Ampadu, Kyle Scott, or RLC would have been less effective - Fabregas (and Conte) have to be moved on this summer.

I tend to agree with you Bobby23 - let's hope that we use the Europa to blood young players.

With Allegri staying at Juve and Sarri never having had any real intention of leaving Napoli, it looks like Enrique. Oh! God, please no. As much as I've been critical of Conte, I would rather he stayed on than have bloody Luis Enrique as manager. Why, oh why, do we always get it sooooooo wrong!

loko, Conte himself admitted that he would have preferred a CL place to winning the Futile Association cup!
