15 goals and 5 assists in last Liga, that literally all I know, seen stuff on YouTube but not enough o claim to know anything about him. Ed’s?

2.) 05 Aug 2018 12:05:30
From what I have seen on him (Willian Jose) on youtube- he looks a fighter like D. Costa (can bully defenders), good with both feet, has good pace, good touch (good ball control), takes up good positions (can anticipate a pass), has a good shot and also good in the air. He is good player.

3.) 06 Aug 2018 15:22:42
If he's that good, why haven't we gone in for him?

19 Jul 2018 22:57:30
Ha ha, now reports are saying Real Madrid have agreed a fee of 190m euros for Hazard. More rubbish or more to it?

Sid1

1.) 20 Jul 2018 08:45:33
Sounds like more rubbish.

Good weekend so far, spuds, Arsenal and United all losing.

I’m usually positive and calm about results as I’m so proud of the last decade and a half our club has had but if we don’t win at the bridge tomorrow (obviously with all due respect to Burnley) I’d be livid, I’d go mad. It’ll probably be the first time I’d wish a manager and the players get booed cause the next four games should be like a cup final for us.

2.) 21 Apr 2019 20:15:20
Eli, IMO we require 76pts. Tomorrow nights game is a must win situation and I have every faith we will succeed.

COME ON MY MIGHTY BLUES.

3.) 22 Apr 2019 12:05:34
The players should be absolutely fired up for this game. It seems like every time teams around us drop points so do we but I’m reasonably optimistic about tonight, hopefully an early goal will settle some nerves and we get the win.

Ed02 when talking about a well run football club u have to take into account various factors. From a business perspective, does a club cut its cloth to suit the purse, at the same time trying to please the fans by buying good players and having seasons which everyone is happy with.
A team like Leicester city Spring to mind but I don't have knowledge of their financial situation.
What would be your opinion of a "happy " and well run club.

Sid1

{Ed002's Note - I really don’t know what you are asking.}

1.) 20 Mar 2019 23:59:50
Doesn't matter ed02, silly question anyway. I was having a conversation with someone about well run clubs, but of course it's all about opinions and what factors you take into account. Good to have u back for a while,

The problem is that the new generation of Chelsea supporters have been raised on Chelsea winning trophies and having instant success. Whether Roman demands the same or is influenced by the supporters negativity, I don't know. No one knows his feelings for the club now.
If u employ a manager to play a certain style of football, then u have to give him a few seasons to achieve that. No doubt his style of football will take time for the players to comprehend, that's if he even has the players he wants for his system in the first place. I used to go to the Liverpool page when Klopp first started, and there were the same negative posts. The Liverpool board backed the manager and now we are seeing the results of their trust.
Same old story here, unless there is instant success we demand the managers head.
What would Jose do, change the system make us hard to beat and be bored out of our minds. With such a drastic change in the style of football it will take a few seasons to get the team playing.
Sure sarri is making mistakes all the time but he is learning about the premiership, he will know he might have to adapt the style to suit this league, just give the manager time, he is not a stupid man.

Don't forget city's team is based in possession the same as ours, but they are 2- 3 seasons ahead. whether the players didn't follow his instructions, bearing in mind the opponents, or it was his fault for not changing the system, again bearing in mind the opponents. I am sure he will Learn from today.

2.) 10 Feb 2019 23:29:57
Like your thought process Sid.

3.) 11 Feb 2019 00:02:37
Not just Liverpool Sid, if you read the comments through Pep's first season you'll find the exact same comments being made there as well. "He has no plan B" "He's refusing to adapt to english football". You'll find those comments after City got battered by Leicester and Everton. Pep said he needed time and backing, he got exactly that and now look at them. They're a class above everyone and one of the best teams to play in the BPL. Sarri needs the same which is what Pep said in his conference. He also said he when he joined City he trusted them in backing him and trusting the process but didn't with Chelsea and he's spot on. Even when Pep first took over City they had a much better squad than ours is right now, they started brightly similar to us and then struggled in spells throughout, again like us. The difference in that season is Pep had enough quality in that team to finish top 4. We on the other hand don't and it's showing. I hope since the way we perused Sarri we're serious in backing him and give the guy time and better quality players. Because in terms of quality in the team, we are miles and miles away from Liverpool and City.

4.) 11 Feb 2019 08:49:18
Sid your post is 100% spot on, I hope the board can read your mind but I fear not. Everything said in this thread is very sensible, LondonBlues90 you have made a good post too. I feel the same as you guys. i've got nothing more to add guys.

Sid i agree, problem at Chelsea = We have a new breed of fans that want instant success over stability and future direction. I will be left baffled if the board were to sack Sarri, I would lose 100% faith in them if they were to make that stupid call. You can't change players managed by Jose or Conte and expect them to play sarriball or whatever they call it almost immediately. Its common sence. It will take time. Worse yet, sack Sarri and appoint Zidane or Blanc. Isn't that going againt the strategy when we first appointed Sarri and wanted him to change our style? I fear the AVB cycle is about to restart. Surely our board wint make tge mistake twice.

Everyone here wanted attacking football, well you have to be patient. No wonder top managers like pep reject us. Why would he want to ruin his varnished CV with us. It will only lead to a sacking creditation. I more than happy to wait years before we win the next trophy as long as we get this set up right.

If conte goes to Real Madrid then hopefully Hazard will have second thoughts about going there.

Sid1

1.) 21 Oct 2018 11:18:15
I doubt real madrid want him. Neymar or mbappe is what they want. Good for us.

Seasons predictions.
Top 4 .
Liverpool and man city look way ahead of everyone . Think Liverpool will win the league this year . Next two teams I haven't a clue. Arsenal Chelsea Spurs Man U anyone's guess. Man U look in Jose season 3 meltdown, Spurs may get 3rd, Arsenal and Chelsea hard to predict Will one team do well under a new manager and the other take longer to adjust . Very hard to predict this year,

Sid1

1.) 05 Aug 2018 23:42:56
Yeah Liverpool and City will definitely get top 4 and they'll be the two fighting for the title, although City are still miles ahead of everyone and i'd fully expect them to win it again. Think people are underestimating Arsenal, they've done some nice business and although they won't challenge for the title i'd expect them to get into the top 4 with their squad. United if they get Alderweireld and a RW which seems possible i think they'll be a strong side. Think people are overreacting to their preseason, missing players and still need to do bussiness but fully expect them to be alright. With us and Spurs, both teams haven't added quality into their teams and seemingly won't do much more business either. Personally once everybody's back and fit i think we have a better squad than Spurs and maybe United. I just think with a new manager and a new system they need to get used to i don't think we'll be consistant enough to get top 4, personally think we should take the Europa league very seriously since it could end up being our best chance to get back into the champions league.

Well if he his worried about his development at Chelsea, then getting into the England team at such a young age proves his club might be doing the right thing.

Actually Marcus bent with his Zimmer frame might be better than Morata at the moment.

I agree about Morata, I have no doubt he will turn out to be a great striker, such a confidence player . He makes it look easy scoring with his head . He has the natural goal scorers ability to be in the right place to score goals, but has such a lack of confidence in finishing. I would preserver but he obviously wants out, and maybe not a sarri type player. No doubt another one we will have let go too early .
Going by tonight's reports then I assume it will be Higuain, I suppose he will do a better job in the short term, but long term, someone else in the summer .

Well we won't face Arsenal or Napoli until the final if we get there. We have either Benfica or Frankfurt in the semi if we win our quarter final.

Good post LB90. Let's hope the ban is lifted for the next window and sarri can bring in his own players. However if the ban is not lifted, then u can't blame sarri if he cannot bring in the players for his system, due to a mistake or mis understanding of the situation by the hierarchy .

Whatever happens if the manager wants to substitute u, then you come off no matter what, but poor of sarri to give up and walk down the tunnel. He should have stamped his authority and made sure kepa came off. I agree Tom that sarri has tried to defuse the situation, but a strong manager would have insured that the player follows his decision. Time for whoever is in charge of our club (whoever that might be) to come out and make clear to the players that the manager is staying and they will do as they are told, or get out or do our usual thing iby sacking the manager.
