Could any of you Eds perhaps shed a light on what happened Wednesday night in regards to Chelsea's managerial situation? Would be highly appreciated!

{Ed001's Note - no sorry, I don't know.}

1.) 18 May 2018 16:04:00
Fair, one cannot know everything ;)

{Ed001's Note - sadly no. I wish I could though!}

2.) 18 May 2018 20:03:47
Apparently it could seriously be Poch to Chelsea. I'd be very surprised and confused though.

3.) 19 May 2018 09:59:29
Where did you hear the from Jackson?

4.) 19 May 2018 19:11:55
Apparently some guy claims it on twitter. Probably not true, but it's strange that it's even being touted as a possibility.

10 Mar 2018 18:22:22
We definately need to start Zappa against Barca! Always gives his all, and quite a threat offensively, too!

1.) 11 Mar 2018 09:25:22
agree . I prefer him too. not as physically strong but for me can offer more. more games he plays the more consistent and better he will get.

28 May 2017 12:07:05
Hey ED. I'm not sure if this is one of the questions that you don't like, but hopefully that isn't the case - at least, it isn't my intention to waste your time. But seeing how other teams such as City and United are already bringing in some solid reenforcements, could you perhaps provide some information about Chelsea nearing any deals? Perhaps drop a few names as Well? I understand if it's not possible, I was just hoping for some Nice updates after yesterday's dissapointment!
Regardless - you have yourself a nice Day - take Care!

{Ed002's Note - There is no way for me to try and anser questions about the ti,img of transfers.}

1.) 28 May 2017 14:01:43
Okay, I understand - and Sorry to bother, I'just struck by some mean hangovers and thought you might have some uplifting news 😉.

{Ed002's Note - There is always uplifting news Emil - summer is just about here, the butterflies are out.....}

2.) 28 May 2017 16:23:08
News of Bakayoko and Naby Keita signing for Chelsea would be more welcome than 30 degrees outside while I have to prepare for exams though :P.

11 Nov 2016 12:21:21
Hello Ed. I was just wondering if you could provide an update on these (or at least just some of them) players that I've seen linked with a move to Chelsea (some more realistic than others) :
Javier Pastore, Kasper Dolberg, Moussa Dembele (Celtic), Bazoer, Kondogbia and Niklas Sule.
I'll understand it if you haven't got the time!
Have a nice weekend :)

{Ed002's Note - There will be an update fairly soon.}

1.) 11 Nov 2016 14:44:17
Hahaha I feel like a kid on Christmas Eve, waiting for the presents the next day :-P.

2.) 11 Nov 2016 14:44:17
Hahaha I feel like a kid on Christmas Eve, waiting for the presents the next day :-P.

{Ed002's Note - I am guessing Monday. I have just finished a short Liverpool one and my PA is threatening me with no more today.}

3.) 11 Nov 2016 17:46:28
No rush, Ed, we all know you're busy :-) But I am certainly looking forward to it. Your info is the best.

23 Apr 2016 07:23:47
Hello EDs. You've earlier mentioned us looking at Embolo, Gabriel Barbosa, Mark Stendera and spoken a bit about Isco. Could you give us the statuses on these players, and do you think they'd be given an actual chance if we bought them, or do you think they would just become some of many loaned out players (speaking of the first three here)? Also, are we interested in Vitesse's Mitchell van Bergen?

{Ed002's Note - Basel's Breel Embolo remains a target of Arsenal, Borussia Moenchengladbach, Chelsea, Spurs, Inter, Juventus, Red Bull Leipzig and West Ham with Basel aware of interest from all of these clubs in addition to Wolfsburg who have discussed a transfer with the club and had an offer rejected. Inter will push to agree a summer move as they don't have the money for a transfer unless they can offload Icardi. Manchester United, Barcelona, Everton, Real Madrid, Southampton, Liverpool and Leicester have also had the player watched.

Santos' Gabriel Barbosa is of interest to Fiorentina, PSG, Galatasaray, Chelsea, Arsenal, Dortmund and Manchester United. However, although much is expected of him he is only a teenager and whilst there is an agreement between Santos and Barcelona that may be exercised in 2016, I suspect that he won't move there just yet. His agent mentioned that Fenerbahce had made an offer but I suspect that is incorrect and it was Galatasaray and there interest has now gone. I rather doubt Gabriel will end up in Manchester, unless it is in the away dressing room. Chelsea and Fiorentina have held fairly recent discussions and continue to try to strike a deal - but it looks unlikely right now. Both Dortmund and PSG are looking to make an offer offer but I suspect there will be something that will make PSG step back.

Eintracht Frankfurt's Marc Stendera has been recommended to Chelsea by a former player as one who will likely play a major part of the next generation of German players. Bayer Leverkusen had an enquiry about him rebuffed but that may not deter Dortmund in the summer but Nico Kovac wants the player to extend his contract.

Real Madrid made Isco available summer 2014 - although priced at a level where all but a handful of teams could afford him. They also offered him to Chelsea at the same time as a part exchange for a player but Chelsea were not interested. There was interest from Bayern Munich in the past but that has gone. Arsenal made an enquiry regarding Isco's availability in the summer but their first choice was someone else and then no longer a priority. In addition to Chelsea he has also been offered to PSG and Juventus - and Juventus put a significant offer on the table in the summer but it was not accepted. Arsenal may look again and I do expect that Milan, who have been interested in the past, will emerge as possble contenders, but the money will be an issue. Right now there is no interested from Chelsea but Juventus are again keen.

I would not expect any of these to join this summer as things stand right now.}

Thanks a lot for putting your time in such a great and detailed update :) Really appreciate it!

{Ed002's Note - You are welcome.}

Just seen that Lucien Favre has left his position at Nice. As far as I can understand, he would quite possibly be a good choice as manager, as he seems to handle big personalities really well. He's very strongly rumoured to Dortmund, however, so I suppose he's heading there, which I think is a shame for us if that's the case.

01 Apr 2018 09:45:29
Does anyone know what's going on with Barkley? If The purpose is to get him back to being fit for matches, why only play him 60 minutes Yesterday against Derby's u23s? .

07 Mar 2018 13:13:52
I really think Zappacosta deserves a go in the starting 11 for our next game, as Moses is playing poorly and Zappa often gives his all when on the pitch. I'd also like to see Emerson getting a few more minutes, as he clearly needs some playing (I think his performances so far show that he really lacks game time) . I also think Morata and/ or Giroud deserves a go, as our other attacking players, apart from Willian, haven't shown THAT much the last few games. Lastly, I'd like to see Barkley play as a central (or offensive) midfielder, rather than a winger, as I think the centre is his natural position, not the wing, plus it will give him more chances to shoot from the distance, and if we start being dangerous from outside the penalty area, we would be a much bigger threat in my eyes.

1.) 07 Mar 2018 21:49:15
Hope barkley gets some time., could really use him to get some form and give us options, hazard to get hat trick ( dreaming )

04 Mar 2018 07:50:23
Does anyone know if Bakayoko actually is injured or if he's perhaps being given some time off?

1.) 04 Mar 2018 09:08:39
Either way it's a blessing for the player (and us! ) .

2.) 04 Mar 2018 09:19:34
He is back in training but not fit enough to be involved with the first team.

27 Feb 2018 12:47:27
Carrasco has just gone to China. What a shame that is, would have loved him here.

1.) 27 Feb 2018 14:55:34
money grabber! no reason for anyone to go China apart from money. that is not career progress.

{Ed001's Note - or because it is the only transfer window left open and they need first team football to get in the World Cup squad? No one else met the asking price for him, he never turned down another move, so it was not like he chose the money at all.}

2.) 27 Feb 2018 15:07:11
Terrible decision by the player, no desire just wants a big paycheck.

{Ed001's Note - that is so not true, he wants to play regularly to go to the World Cup. He was not a first choice player with Atletico, making just 8 starts this season. He was a bench player and was not happy there.}

3.) 27 Feb 2018 16:38:59
How long do you see him staying in the Chinese league in that case, ed? Perhaps he might return to Europe fairly soon?

{Ed001's Note - I have no idea mate, he might enjoy it there or not have any decent clubs after him to make it worthwhile coming back. He is not that good to be honest, every time I see him I am disappointed in what he produces.}

4.) 27 Feb 2018 17:39:34
Ed, do you think he increased hos chances to play in world cup by joining Chinese super league? I he made 17 appearances this seasom which is not that bad and I bet he would have attracted some interest in the summer from at least lesser sides (if he would taken a pay cut of course) . I bet it is both of wanting to get paid same/ more and wanting to play more is the reason why he chose CHina then.

{Ed001's Note - he was playing 10 min here and there, he will be first choice in China. Look at Paulinho, you can go there and attract attention and get a proper move now.}

5.) 27 Feb 2018 17:50:25
I agree not overly excited by his performance, doubt he will stay in China long past the world cup.

6.) 27 Feb 2018 19:03:29
My opinion on him as a player is at Monaco showed huge potential, got big move to athletico and never really showed his quality and when he did was in bits and pieces, frustrating player and mentally maybe lacks that confidence, brave move going to China, wanted him at chelsea at one point but another inconsistent player isn’t what we need, good luck to him,

7.) 27 Feb 2018 19:14:53
still believe it a stupid move. step backwards. train and player harder then. prove your worth a first team spot.

If we got Butland, it would be another great statement. A statement that we have no ambition and that we’re a team that’ll only buy second grade players.

I absolutely don't think we need him, and as a non-Englishman, I think he's yet another case of English press over-hyping their own players. In my eyes, at least, he isn't a player that would offer anything we couldn't get from RLC, and I'm more than certain that we would be able to find plenty players that can add some goals from midfield that do not cost 15 million pounds, if they were to get the same freedom a player like Barkley would require to do so.

The thing is that when we sold KDB and Lukaku, everyone was cheering Chelsea for making such good business in selling players for much more than we bought them for. And it was no doubt good business. We got a very, very high amount of money for Lukaku especially, and I'm sure that if the prices hadn't gone so mad like they've done the past two seasons, we'd still be applauded for those deals, but nowadays the deals aren't quite as impressive. Also, those players would've never gotten close to as good as their current level if they hadn't left. We can regret not putting buy-back clauses in the deals now, and it's a HUGE shame, but hopefully we'll learn from our mistakes, as I believe we already have, as I think (although not sure) taht Ake, Traore and hopefully more of the young players we've sold recently, have such buy-back clauses.

Why not give Jody Morris a chance? I believe he genuinely cares about the clubs, and he's proven everything there is to prove at youth level - it's a risky move, but one I believe might very well work out just fine.

As I said the other day - Conte must either be way to stubborn to give “his” tactics too many chances, or he simply doesn’t realise how bad it works right now, which I consider impossible. Or perhaps he doesn’t Care anymore. Regardless, he must change the system if we’re to get any half-decent results for the remainder of the season.
