Ed.

According to the currant bun Coutinho could be on his way to Chelsea for between £52m and £70m. Any truth in that?

Oh I am not saying that I am in favour of such a deal. Just seeing if there was any substance to it. My guess is that the newspapers are merely regurgitating old stories.

I wouldn't mind having Coutinho, will be useful. His move to Barcelona may be as planned but he's a top player and not much worse than what we have now. Again depth is needed and like City, I would want players of almost substance to compete for every positions.

You don’t buy useful squad players for €100m odd.

If you believe Chelsea will pay €100m for Coutinho then you can believe anything. Besides I did not mean him just a squad player as you are making it out.

Barca paid £130m, they will want to make as much back as possible on the complete flop, and in his best position he couldn’t keep mueller out the team, his a clutch player who gets hyped up for scoring a brilliant goal, not the 30 long shots he wastes before that, his stats at Liverpool wernt exactly brilliant, Liverpool got rid of a player who needs to play a specific position ( no10, his never a winger before its mention ) and Liverpool used money from him and got players who suited them better and improved hugely, I bet we’re not even interested, high wages too I bet,

{Ed002's Note - Barcelona did not pay £130M.}

Apologies, I read it was somewhere in that region and Barcelona still owe Liverpool over €80m,

{Ed002's Note - You should stop reading numbers and just forget them.}

Was business insider article rather than football rumour site, are we looking at countinho and in what region would they be willing to offload,

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - The meeting with Barcelona was to discuss someone else - I am not aware of any discussions about Coutinho. Coutinho is being offered to clubs via a third party. You need to ignore the finances as they seem to confuse you.}

Regarding fee, unless it’s a loan with OPTION to buy I’d be happy for us to forget him, only my opinion. Anyway. Stay indoors wash your hands and keep a safe distance when necessary!

Is the player being discussed with Barcelona Umtiti? Never mind if you don't want to respond.

{Ed002's Note - No. It is irrelevant.}

{Ed002's Note - I will explain where the club is with the goalkeeping situation.

Kepa Arrizabalaga (G) no decision yet but Chelsea has a list of possible replacements that they have had two people take a look at – right now don’t expect him to leave but there is a tiny bit of interest in him.

Gianluigi Donnarumma (G) not expected to be available (a) if he signs a new deal, AND (b) Milan avoid a financial crisis - in which case Juventus could pounce - interest from elsewhere which could possibly include Inter, but I think that would be too difficult. PSG and Juventus are viable options and Real Madrid cannot be discounted. An approach has been made to an Chelsea side but there is a significant levy being put on wages.
Juan Musso (G) has been watched on several occasions since arriving in Italy. Inter has an interest as well and price could prove to be an issue.
Thomas Strakosha (G) several sides have shown an interest including Liverpool and Spurs but a discussion Chelsea had with Lazio regarding another player led to it being stated that the player will not be sold and they are looking at agreeing a new contract.
Alex Meret (G) lots of clubs have been looking - Inter are keen with Juventus interest dropping away.
Andre Onana (G) has been looked at by Spurs as a potential Lloris replacement, Chelsea if they decide to part ways with Arrizabalaga and Barcelona who expect ter Stegan to look for a move might be interested.
Mike Maignan (G) has been scouted on a number of occasions.
Ugrucan Cakir (G) Trabzonspor want €30M to ease financial issues and are happy for Eddie Newton to aid a move to Chelsea. Lots of interest from elsewhere.
Brad Young (G) Several Premier League sides and Middlesbrough have sent scouts to Billingham Town to watch young loanee Brad Young of whom much is expected. Chelsea have already agreed a transfer with Hartlepool (who ironically have two ex Chelsea goalkeepers at the club and an ex Chelsea goalkeeper as a coach) and initially agreed to take him to London to show him the ground and to Surrey to show him the training facilities. All agreed that he will move to Chelsea after he turns 18 in the summer. }
