Where have rumours come from about United hijacking havertz, they got Fernandes, why wouldn't they need havertz and surely there money would be going into the sancho deal, I'd like to think we don't need to as havertz deal is more finalising details but have we got 2nd option to havertz and who?

I’m actually coming round to the idea of him but only at 40m or less. I want Frank to get his targets personally. I’m not Chilwell’s biggest fan but he’s got a lot of potential and room to improve.

I really don't get all the fuss over Chilwell. He's not blisteringly quick and he's not the greatest defensively. He's like a slightly quicker version of Alonso.
There are so many better LB's out there imo, I'd honestly just take Tagliafico. So much more well rounded and will cost a fraction of what Chilwell would.

Tagliofico is amazing defensively but he is not at all an upgrade on Alonso or Emerson going forward.

What we see and what Frank, Jody, Ash Cole see must be completely different. I like the boy and think he will be a great addition. Regardless of price, it’s not my money they are spending!

Making Ben Chillwell the most expensive defender on the planet is just silly. He is not that good. It would be a burden for him and a burden for our team tbh. Really doesn't make much sense to pursue an 80 million quid deal for him. He is not the player we need. He has scored four goals in his career. Alonso gets more than that a season.

Not that good? Hmm, as I previously said, Ashley Cole, Jody Morris and is Frank’s number 1 target. Man Utd wanted him, City at one stage too. But nope, not good enough. He’s 23. Got bags of potential, used to the PL, plays for his country. But not good enough. Jeez, some people are hard to please.

I think he is good enough. He is a very fast LB. But that price tag? Yes, it is not our money. But it is a burden for the player and the team. He is worth half of the 80 million quid being mentioned. He is a decent player. Yes, he plays for England. Ben has made 11 appearances for England. He is fast. He is not the best going forward. He has scored 4 goals total in his playing career. He also has some issues defending.
I think there are better options out there. He is English, but we have a good amount of English players in the squad right now, we're not after fulfilling a quota of English/ Homegrown players. So the English Tax in the transfer market is something we can avoid.
