Does anyone remember the days gone by? The days when we could beat anyone 'on our day'.
Our club has changed, in those days we hoped we would win and, in some cases, expected to lose!
As amazing as the Roman era has been, it has certainly changed our expectations. Reading some of the posts in hear it's like some of the posters think we have a right to have a full squad of world class players, in their prime, winning week in week out. On the back of that, a poor performance means that player A must leave, or he's not good enough for our untouchable team!
It's a new era now, I trust the club know what they're doing. The manager has his faults I'm sure, but for me he's a winner.

JBYBCFC, I couldn’t agree with more.
We have been spoilt with success and we now have almost two generations of supporters who know nothing else. Lucky them.
In sport like life there are NO guarantees. We can dream and hope but we should never expect success.

We've spent 200 million this year in addition to over a billion over the decade. We should absolutely be winning week in week out. Liverpool do it for far less money. We just need to be better.

Sometimes it feels like older fans look at younger fans as less of a fan because they wernt there through the “ hard times “ and this isn’t aimed at anyone on here, I mean in general, but footballs changes / evolved etc etc and @standard is bang on, with the investment we’ve had, expectations should be very high, it shouldn’t be compared to how things were, we’ve grown into the biggest team in London and one of biggest in Europe,

Looking forward to seeing a positive performance, plenty of goals and 3 points.
Hope to see some of the kids get a run out too.
