Apparently Abramovich is pushing forward a deal for Icardi as he is his no1 target price known to be his release clause which is £90m hopefully we sign him that way we don't have to worry about signing another striker. What Icardi brings is guaranteed goals, leadership and world class ability.

I'd be careful on the sources of that story. If it's the same reporter that I read he has us linked with at least 7 strikers now. 3-4 midfielders and basically a new back line too. Pretty much a brand new 11 and subs 😁.

Would sooooooooo love to believe that’s true, but just cannot see it.

3.) 10 Jan 2019 21:44:00
Would love it - but I think Real, Barcelona and PSG might have a say.

If PSG or Barcelona buy him I would gladly take their current main strikers to our team. Even though suarez would have to wear a dogs mask in case he wanta to bite anyone again.

Maybe what the board should do is get rid of marina and bring in somebody that is actually interested in the club instead of thinking we are a business and maybe promote an academy player every season, look what Liverpool have done with Alexander Arnold he is now there first choice right back and Manchester United with rashford.

To play week in, week out for a club like Chelsea does not mean that an academy product has to play. He has to be ready, It's not a straight forward process. Patience is needed. There is a lot of pressure out there to perform and you don't want to kill a youngsters confidence. RLC has been blended in nicely. CHO has a great chance should he stay at Chelsea.

2.) 08 Jan 2019 14:05:22
if he wants out why bother even playing him tonight.

3.) 08 Jan 2019 14:12:48
If you think CHO is good enough to be starting week in week out, then you are part of the problem. If CHO thinks he is good enough to be starting week in week out then he has a major problem. He’s a nobody at the moment, just literally turned 18. No experience what so ever and think he deserves more first team football? Hmm, if the kid wants to listen to his agent then go ahead son, leave. But if you want to get your head down and give the manager no reason why not to start you, then do it. Perform week in week out. Do more on the training field, he gave you advice at start of season about defending and tracking back.

i agree with a lot of wat your saying adam i just can't beleive an 18year old whos been with us since he's 8 wants out without even givin it a proper go.

5.) 08 Jan 2019 15:12:04
Too true. It is a shame he hasn’t played more, but why would a new manager place his trust in his first 6 months into a new career in an untried and untested 17 year old boy? I know I wouldn’t. Zola, Sarri, Merson has this all spot on. He has so much more to learn and should bide his time and be patient. There’s no denying he won’t get the chance because he will. It’s then up to him to grab it with both hands!

Why all this talk when he isn't good enough, we might as well buy Morata the second what we should be doing is bring back Batshuayi until the rest of the season and in the summer go for Icardi.

Why don't Chelsea tell CHO that he will feature more regularly at the start of next season because in the summer we should be getting rid of Willian and Pedro.

Why all this talk about getting an immediate replacement for fabregas when we already have one (David Luiz) I mean he has played there before under Benitez and it worked wonders for Torres maybe it could work for Morata we have enough cover for defence ie: Ampadu, Christensen. We could even put Azpilicueta in central defence he is that versatile.

I would like to see Luiz in midfield, he's quick, excellent shot over a packed defence and better passer than he is given credit for and taking him out of the back would hopefully reduced the risk of a booking, penalty or sending off when the red mist descends. Unfortunately there are few here that see him in that position. We need a midfield general and once again I am one of the few who does not see Jorghino as anything other than ordinary. He's had over 2000+ touches this season and not one assist and that is a huge problem we must address; the forwards needs service and on Saturday we saw the value we have with Hudson-Odoi's crossing, now we need to produce "Fabregas style' weighted passes from the middle.

2.) 07 Jan 2019 11:10:40
Amapdu was excellent in midfield vs. Forrest. He is more than capable of deputising for Jorginho during the rest of the season.

2000+ touches and no assists, I actually see this as Jorginho performing a selfless role for the club, it isn't his role to be creative. I can see why fans are frustrated when the club clearly lack goals, but the question should be who is he laying the ball off to? Barkley? Willian? Pedro? Kovacic? None of these players have been creative this season and as many have pointed out, Hazard can't do it on his own.

I think Loftus-Cheek offers more creativity than both Barkley and Kovacic, although Kovacic is currently a better all round player and as such will currently be favoured against bigger teams - Barkely finds himself back in a battle to get in the side. You also have to hope that Pulisic will be better, and more dynamic, than both Willian and Pedro. But that's for next season, the biggest signing we could make this window will be to get Hudson-Odoi to sign a new contract. If he can show half of the creativity he showed against Forrest in the Premier League then we will have much more going forward in the second half of the season.

3.) 07 Jan 2019 11:37:51
Not David Luiz, why fix something that isn’t broke? Just promote Ampadu straight into back up. Simple. Easily good enough on any stage.

4.) 07 Jan 2019 13:16:25
Good post J. Respect your opinion. Agree with you Adam.

5.) 07 Jan 2019 14:14:30
J, you're one of the few who seem to get what Jorginho is to the side. A player who starts the a passage of play, and dictates from the field.

People only want him out, cos they believe Kante should be in there. However, we have already seen we've gotten 3 times the amount of goals, plus the same amounts of assist from Kante now, then we had in the whole of last season.
