The Sun a reporting that we're close to sealing a deal with Dortmund for Sancho. They're trying to report as an exclusive, but original reports came out from Germany.
If (big, massive, huge, humongous if) the story has any merit then it's for €120m, which Liverpool and United weren't willing to pay, and will be similar to the Pulisic deal in the sense that he'll be loaned back till the summer.

Yeh I've seen this particular rumour aswel as the the rumour that we are in for Isco.
I don't know what to make of the
Sancho rumours other than the fact that the Sun carry no substance. The tabloids that are reporting the story released by the Sun.
I won't hold my breath.

As much as I hate the rag, the journalist in question hasn't got a transfer for the club wrong in five years. Think there is definitely something in this- maybe we've made an offer that is in the right ballpark.

That same Duncan Wright I think has also reported that Dortmund have enquired about Marcus Thuram, a very good attacker.

Yeah, and the Sun have just nicked it from the German press, I have no idea of they're to be trusted or not but, being German, I'd expect them to be very efficient.

I will add that I think doing the deal now and loaning back makes sense.
This season is what it is. Transfer ban, giving the youth a chance and the loss of one if our best players in the past decade.
Lampard has had a rare chance to assess his squad, without undue pressure, over a whole season to see what's good and what's not. Despite the ban just being lifted, and the clear need for an upgrade here and there, now is definitely not the time to make short sighted panic buys. Signing Sancho, or anyone of quality, now for the summer shows that were looking to the long term, not the immediate.
