ed do the club rate tomori highly?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed001's Note - apparently he has impressed on loan with Derby.}

24 Apr 2019 09:02:28
He definitely has. Had a fantastic season and is very promising.

Don't know if we have space for him though with Ampadu and Zouma as great CB options as well as Rudi and Christensen. But Tomori and Trevoh Chalobah would probably impress if given a chance.

Tomori will be much better player than Zouma. A defensive partnership of Tomori and Ampadu would be excellent in two or three years.

Comparing the games. Brighton and Burnley set up the same, bodies behind the ball, no way through for spurs, then they have a player who can shoot from distance, 1-0, we lacked this last night and many nights this season.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed001's Note - to be fair, a lot of that was down to Ryan being so slow to get across, he had time to hop once before he even tried to dive. He could see it as it left Eriksen's foot but decided to wait rather than diving across immediately. Awful goalkeeping. It was not even in the corner, he should have got across.}

Exactly what I thought Ed. I was furious when I saw that replayed.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - I am just amazed how the commentator never spotted it and was too busy verbally masturbating over the shot.}

24 Apr 2019 07:29:12
Because it was media darlings Spurs. Instead of a 'plucky defensive performance' like Burnley, Brighton were just 'hanging on' all game.

Most commentators infuriate me Ed. Every game I watch they make bias comments (not just Chelsea matches) . And they miss everything they don't want to see.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - that is true, Beglin is the worst of them. He needs 45 video replays to spot what was plainly obvious the first time.}

26 Apr 2019 19:54:31
Sometimes I feel 45 isn't enough. It pains me even more when they have digs at referees asking how they haven't seen things, whilst consistently missing the obvious in replays themselves! I could go on for years on this subject. They annoy me so much!

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - very good point.}

Is it Sarri or the player do we think. Ed's can contribute if they want too, on one hand we have Sarri who's stubborn in his philosophy, has the best DM in world football playing out of position and claimed his not good enough passing to play the " regista " which is strange as kante a passing is so underrated, makes only like for like substitutions, striker for striker, Barkley for kovecic, Pedro for William Giroud for higuian, rarely changes to suit opposition except the cup final v city some could argue, board got him higuian even though Sarri said his not fit and needs time but needs to do so ASAP.
Other hand we have no creative players except hazard. We don't have nearly enough goals from midfield, no killer pass or goals from distance, he has got RLC and Cho involved so playing some youth. Got Emerson in when people wanted Alonso our starting line up, got hazard his best season so far. And of course his new to England / league. or simple answer it's bit of both?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed001's Note - bit of both I would say defo. Sarri is taking time to adjust to the league and is very stubborn and will hang on to his way even when it needs to change. On the other hand, there are a number of players who are not good enough, such as Barkley and Alonso and so the team relies too heavily on Hazard.}

I know there’s not much going transfer update wise but how do the board approach the summer if we can register players. Do we look at players ( for example ) fekir coutinho who play CAM when we don’t use a CAM system, do the board looks st Sarri preferred line up/ system and say., jorginho kante are starters so we need back up for jorginho back up for kante and a player who fits the LCM role? , I really don’t want to lose hazard BUT if we get a good few and add a threat down both flanks and a goalscorer form midfield then so be it, hopefully the striker curse is lifted and Chelsea stop signing players who are just over the hill and can lead and score for few years too, that doesn’t help. Think we’ve hot woodwork most in league and missed most of second most chances.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - they will look to players that work within the team framework. If Sarri stays they will go with players to work within his team set up.}

23 Apr 2019 11:44:16
Is there strong chance of Sarri moving on. I saw Napoli fans have banners up calling for his return at weekend, Roma and inter all looking too apparently? Where do we go after Sarri lol.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - the club will not stand in his way if he chooses to go, so it is up to him. I have no idea what he will think. He is a very stubborn guy though, so, from knowing that, I would suggest he is likely to want to stay and prove himself.}

23 Apr 2019 11:57:26
I’ve had times on here I’ve ranted and wanted him gone, but we need some stability, some good recruitment and if he adjusts slightly regarding kante position I’d be more than happy. simple hey. Also while here, any closer to a director of football. I’m sure that’ll help a bit.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - I don't know sorry.}
