Is it just papers talking or barcelona are interested in Willian? Maybe time to cash in.

1.) 10 Jan 2019 21:01:52
Would be interesting ChelseaLRD but I think this originated from the Daily Mail and that organ is about as accurate as mine when I’ve had more than a few!

2.) 10 Jan 2019 21:04:01
Would be great if so. He's been great for us, but would welcome the change.

3.) 10 Jan 2019 21:33:15
Malcom hasn’t impressed and there’s trying to move him on after only a few months, if any truth we should go for a better player from them. If any truth at all that is.

4.) 10 Jan 2019 21:39:32
its on sky sports news now.

5.) 10 Jan 2019 21:40:18
Everyone reporting the same news now so it must have legs to it.

If it is true and Barcelona are offering 50m plus Malcolm then we would be silly to reject the offer.

Not only will it give CHO the chance to make the position his own but we get a 21 year old with great potential in return. We still have Pedro for the rest of the season so we have more than enough cover alongside hazard, CHO and Malcolm if included.

Willian has done nothing so far this season so it's not like we will miss him. His last good games were against Barcelona, probably was trying to prove a point to them.

6.) 10 Jan 2019 21:41:25
If you read the extensive list by Ed002 on the Barcelona La Liga page, willian isn't even mentioned so i'll go with Ed on this one.

7.) 10 Jan 2019 23:13:54
For how accurate ed is Gianfranco, things can change in a minute but football. Though, you aren’t probably correct.

8.) 10 Jan 2019 23:52:00
I do believe that this is rubbish, I would Swap Willian for Malcolm let alone ask them to pay us anything.

9.) 11 Jan 2019 01:30:56
I believe Chelsea aren't anxious to let Willian leave in a hurry cos the club aren't sure of Eden Hazard's future just yet.
If Chelsea could get Hirving Lozano in this transfer window (which is very difficult) then maybe letting Willian leave wouldn't be too much of a risk.
I feel an only cash deal could tempt Chelsea but a swap deal involving Malcom (who's out of form) isn't a good proposition.

10.) 11 Jan 2019 09:05:34
hes only 21 he could be a real gem under the right manager. if not take cash and buy lozano.

23 Dec 2018 19:39:03
Eds do you know if batman cutting his valencia loan rumours are true?

Maybe he will be the answer to our struggling striker force? He for sure can't be worse as Morata and Giroud are just not good enough to lead the line.

{Ed001's Note - I believe he is coming back in January yes.}

Ok guys most of us are talking about Jorgihno and Kante's place in the team and if eithers position is the best suited to them. Anyway my take on the issue is with neither of these players but actually with our 3rd midfield player.

You would not be surprised when I say that neither Barkley, Kovavic or RLC have made the spots theirs. I see Kante making the runs to oposition box but neither of the 3 have ever done so (or maybe couple of times between them all) .

ALSO the goal return rate from. all 3 is still kinda low (take into account that RLC played mostly on the winger position) .

Therefore i see the need to strenghten this position in the summer, with the player who can shoot, score, and also create.

1.) 11 Jan 2019 01:05:32
You’re not wrong mate, though I do rate Kovacic and RLC highly.

2.) 11 Jan 2019 03:12:12
Loftus-Cheek has he’s just been unlucky with injuries and Sarri preferring Kova. The lads a class act he’s got it all. Power, pace, creativity and he can score a goal. By far better than the other two it’s our front three letting us down and Alonso.

3.) 11 Jan 2019 09:40:06
King Kante, there is some truth in your words but RLC is lacking the workrate needed for that position. He doesn't press enough for me.

27 Dec 2018 11:41:22
Wow Ed001 :) you can't say that Man city getting away with so many fouls is conspiracy when Salah doesn't get banned for that dive ;)

Anyway have a good year mate title is liverpools to loose now :)

{Ed001's Note - why? It was a pull on his arm, not sure why it is getting such coverage. If he was English we would never have heard a thing about it, like we don't for the numerous dives Alli and Kane do every game without a touch at all. Salah was fouled, went down too easily but so does every player. It is a bit different going down easily to going in and making a foul which risks injuring a player. I would rather he tried to stay on his feet but you can hardly say Liverpool are favoured when Arsenal (rightly) have a goal against them ruled out for the keeper having his hands on the ball before it is kicked out of his hands when the exact same incident saw a goal awarded against Liverpool. And I have never said it is a conspiracy anyway. Just stated a simple fact, they do get away with a lot more than others, just like Scholes used to, for example.}

1.) 27 Dec 2018 14:29:24
This is going to hurt defending LFC but unfortunately if he had his arm pulled and stayed up he wouldn’t of got the pen. Seen lots of fouls and players try to stay up and miss out when really it isn’t a foul only when a players back touches the floor, you don’t get anything for being honest, u feel it, go down, make it the refs choice,

{Ed001's Note - that's what annoys me, he shouldn't have to go over but you are right, if he gets fouled and doesn't there is no way a ref will give a decision.}

2.) 27 Dec 2018 14:51:00
He went down way way too easy. Also after a second or so.

Anyway it would have not change the outcome as Liverpool seems to have finally clicked and is the real deal.

3.) 29 Dec 2018 19:14:07
People blaming diving on the increase in foreign players has always made me laugh - I'm old enough to remember the number of penalties and free-kicks that Franny Lee, Rodney Marsh and our own David Speedie used to 'win' by diving.

21 Dec 2018 13:52:17
What about vardy as a replacement for morata?

1.) 21 Dec 2018 15:27:26
He's very settled in Leicester according to Andy King, who I know quite well. Leicester would demand a king's ransom. And the persistent groin injury is a worry, considering how much he relies on pace.

2.) 21 Dec 2018 16:07:43
Doesn't seem that he is getting along with puel that much. Anywau nobody can deny thay lad knows how to score and definatelly works like a horse.

3.) 21 Dec 2018 18:52:22
I’d take Vardy and Chilwell all day.

4.) 22 Dec 2018 11:20:37
Vardy is 31!

5.) 22 Dec 2018 11:45:25
I’ll take Morata/ Giroud and Alonso/ Emerson all day long!

19 Dec 2018 13:33:19
Hello guys, here is a weekly question.

Whats your all time most liked Chelsea player? Can be from any Era.

Mine has to be Lampard, what a player he was. You barely see anyone in his position chippinin in with so many goals every season.

1.) 19 Dec 2018 14:24:02
Mine has to be Didier Drogba, he is the reason I became a Chelsea fan! His talent and passion was something special, true joy to watch.

2.) 19 Dec 2018 15:05:05
Lampards my favourite. Zola was the reason I became Chelsea though loved him.

3.) 19 Dec 2018 16:37:31
Drogba or zola.

4.) 19 Dec 2018 16:46:13
Gianfranco :D ot has to be Zola just because of your nick.

5.) 19 Dec 2018 17:04:17
Drogba is the easy choice for me, but Ivanovic, Cole and Anelka were also players I really enjoyed. I also loved Mata, and still to this day I'm saddened that we let him go so soon.

6.) 19 Dec 2018 20:38:47
I think Ashley Cole is the most understated player at our club ever and never got the send off he deserved a brilliant player and was never replaced properly.

7.) 19 Dec 2018 20:41:37
Cheers chelsea lrd just seen that merry Xmas mate have a good one you to Eds merry edmas it's nearly your silly season so brace yourselves.

8.) 20 Dec 2018 01:39:11
ashley cole petr cech jt lamps drogs the best 5 players that ever played for out club add zola to the mix of course an absoloute legend.

9.) 20 Dec 2018 17:12:10
I loved David Speedie - how we could do with his aggression upfront now.

09 Dec 2018 11:14:56
Hi guys, my weekly question (sorry i missed it last week) is:

In which game you think our players performane was the best? It can be any chelsea game from any era.

I will start it with the game we drew (but actually lost the tie) againsy Barcelona in champions league. We only alloelwed them to hsve 1 shot on goal and if not referee would definatelly won it.

That team probably is still pur strongest chelsea team ever in my opinion.

1.) 09 Dec 2018 13:06:12
Mine was the win over Barcelona when we needed to win by 2, went into 3-0 lead straight away and Ronaldinho got a pen and a wonder goal. JT with the last minute header, huge performance.

2.) 09 Dec 2018 14:34:49
I’m a Liverpool fan but this performance against city was a tactical masterclass, I thought you had the players to hurtcity but not in the way you did, you soaked the pressure well which shocked me with the current defence, you have a good setup there at the minute, a goal scorer to assist hazard and manage to fit the midfield players together properly and you’re sorted. Even though I dislike Chelsea the team with frank essien, terry a prime Cech and the monster Drogba was special.

3.) 09 Dec 2018 16:55:46
The 8-0 against Wigan is certainly a fun one, needed to tie up the title and we did it in such style. Drogba hat-trick to clinch the golden boot too. Ashley Cole with a rare goal and what a goal it was. That 09/ 10 team was incredible and scored goals for fun.

4.) 09 Dec 2018 18:03:35
Same defence that let a last minute goal in against you the best striking team in prem lol.

5.) 09 Dec 2018 20:16:34
I think the first few games with Mourinho after buying Cesc and Diego, we were playing some of the most beautiful football I've ever seen. Especially, I recall Schürlle's goal against Burnley as a symptom of how well we were playing at that point. I also think that we played extraordinarily in some of the games with Conte.

6.) 09 Dec 2018 23:26:23
Oh also remembered first few games of Di Mateo management when we bought Hazard. Mata oscar and hazard were just superb in diamond shape.

NWVLUE the point you are missing though as is that keeping Hazard was the difference for us challenging for top 4 or not being there at all. If we missed put on Champions league spot (nobody guarantees that we won't anyway) that's probably 40-50 million worth anyway not to mention not being able to sign top class players as we won't be playing in champions league.

Basically keeping hazard was the right thing to do.

I am with Matt on this one, don't think RLC have showed anything that warants his place in starting eleven.

Firstly he doesn't work enough, even though has a good shot barely tests a keeper from distance or makes runs to the box.

Liverpool were awful yesterday, they got lucky that Gross for some reason decided to gift them a penalty.

Till then they had 1 or no shots on on goal. Can't see many Liverpool supportes crying about it.

If players took their chances yesterday we could easily won 4-1 if not more. Willian and pedro wasted some golden opportunities.

If I am right and ED would confirm it, we were lookimg at Eden Hazard's Sons. Also Morata just had twins but he probably is leaving our club so this may obstruct their signings.
