It's hard to see Morata or Aubameyang deals happening now, what with both players travelling overseas for tours with their respective clubs. If Aubameyang was anything more than an enquiry, surely BVB would have kept him in Europe?
Expect Bakayoko to be confirmed around lunchtime tomorrow followed by a new wave of tabloid hysteria over the next round of transfer targets. Sheesh!

Mainstream media LOVE to antagonise CFC - we've already seen the absurd suggestions that Conte was "Furious" that transfers weren't being fast tracked all the while he was relaxing with family on holiday in Italy.
It shouldn't surprise any of us that pictures of Conte rolling his eyes are all over The Sun reports of a Sandro U-Turn.
In fact, I'm bloody proud that Chelsea continue to do such amazing business in the market. Personally, I'd love us to sign Sandro - its a real statement of intent across European football.

I just want to say a huge thanks to ED001 and ED018 this summer for their constant contribution to this page. No. The player is clearly crocked on a serious level. The Everton owners are also baffled. They don't want him and were happy to sell him to Chelsea for 35m. He failed the medical and the rest is his agent spin in an attempt to preserve his value in January. Ed's am I wrong? A player doesn't agree personal terms, travel across the country, strap on some running shorts and THEN do a u-turn once they get upon a treadmill.

Fundamentally, Costa was bad for both the image of the club (let's face it, it doesn't take much for clubs to dislike us! ) AND the squad.
Those images of him kicking the crap out of the training ground still disturb me and they appeared to disturb the rest of the players too!
In any case, I remain convinced he played a part in Mourinho's change in attitude (besides of course, the ahem, antics* of John Obi Mikel and B. Ivanovic) .

Really hope Zouma on loan to Stoke means Christensen is being given his chance in the squad this year.
I agree with G8, I think we've done some very good business in what is evidently a crazy market.
It still feels like Wing Back is an important position for Conte so will be interesting to see what happens there given he's just put pen to paper again (they didn't waste any time over Morata! )
