seen links with kingsley coman and jesse lingard today. truth in either or both?

{Ed002's Note - Bayern Munich has an option which they will take up to buy Kingsley Coman (effectively to replace Robben) for a smallish fee but if the player does not want to make his move to Bayern Munich permanent he knows that Juventus has been approached by Chelsea and Manchester City to say they would be interested if he were available.

I am not aware of any interest in JL from Chelsea.}

1.) 13 Mar 2017 16:53:43
I hope not. I want us to sign attacking players who know where the net is Coman reminds me of Navas a lot with zero end product.

08 Dec 2016 00:08:32
Are Chelsea interested in Alexis Sanchez?

1.) 08 Dec 2016 05:50:17
I doubt it. Shame I'd love to take him off arsenal haha.

2.) 08 Dec 2016 07:59:17
lots and lots of twitter chat but that's not very convincing, would like it more that arsenal fans are pissed off than actually getting him haha.

3.) 08 Dec 2016 10:16:21
i would love it. their key player, I mean ashley cole was a great deal but this would be amazing.

4.) 08 Dec 2016 12:09:06
All paper talk, they would only sell to a club abroad if there was an ounce of truth in it.

5.) 08 Dec 2016 18:35:25
It would be awesome signjng though. Imagine Arsenal supporters when he scores his first goal agains them. 😂😂😂.

6.) 08 Dec 2016 06:40:11
Not happening.

7.) 10 Dec 2016 01:00:28
Would be a big coup but won't happen.
Wage structure would be broken if rumours about what he's demanding are true. Would send fear through an defense tho and the run down the pitch to celebrate would be fantastic! Haha.

Do chelsea still see griezmann as a target?

{Ed002's Note - Atletico has no intention of selling Griezmann unless a very significant fee is offered. Whilst Griezmann has said on a number of occasions that he has no plans to leave Spain anytime soon, he has said he would be interested in a move to Chelsea if the opportunity arose in the future - and whilst that still stands, he wants to stay at Atletico for what will likely have to be two years with an impending issue which will impact the club. Enquiries from Manchester United and Arsenal went nowhere but if they were to return with a commitment to pay an acceptable amount there will be talks. PSG and perhaps Bayern Munich would also be very interested if he became available. PSG will not be in a position to do any sort of deal unless some very adventurous other plans they have fall through, but they are desperate for a high-end French player and he might move to the fore as a target. Bayern Munich look to have found their desired player elsewhere and I would think can likely be ruled out. Chelsea pushed for a deal for Griezmann and discussions continued with a third party representing Chelsea but were told there would be no sale and he has signed a new contract - but a recent discussion was again held and if he comes on to the market they could return with another proposal. End of the day - I suspect he will stay in Madrid for two more years and then move - but probably not to Chelsea.}

1.) 25 Nov 2016 20:27:54
Probably to United when he leaves. They've got all the money needed and more. The English Galacticos are being created : (

2.) 26 Nov 2016 14:56:13
Who is Bayern's desired player?

3.) 27 Nov 2016 01:20:22
I'd imagine it's Kingsley Coman, whose option to buy following the loan they will take up.

01 Aug 2016 10:33:54
Chelsea had a bid accepted for 30 million euros by santos for Gabigol but the player hasn't made his mind up yet.

Any truth to this?

1.) 01 Aug 2016 10:55:01
Allegedly Juventus offer of 20million € has been accepted by Santos, so why would Chelsea offer 10m more?

2.) 01 Aug 2016 11:04:21
I wouldn't read too much into the fee - as Ed has explained previously, there are many parties involved and any fee has to satisfy each party. The reports of the figure Juventus offered was supposedly just for the Santos portion of the deal. the total transfer fee will be a lot more than the figures bandied about right now.

3.) 01 Aug 2016 11:10:48
because they might want the player more than juventus?

4.) 01 Aug 2016 11:25:39
Ed has also said previously that some clubs generally charge British clubs €10m due to money involved in the PL.

5.) 01 Aug 2016 16:05:34
Because we cannot accept 3rd party deals.

6.) 01 Aug 2016 16:18:54
It's nearly done.

7.) 01 Aug 2016 16:36:40
It's looking like its on again pinky?

8.) 01 Aug 2016 16:54:56
Nearly done to Juventus?

9.) 01 Aug 2016 17:16:15
To whom Pinky?

10.) 01 Aug 2016 20:12:26
I would be very surprised if he ended up at Chelsea. Think pinky might be on a windup.

11.) 02 Aug 2016 16:59:29
CFCadam, it would just mean that we would have to also purchase the % the 3rd party owns.

12.) 02 Aug 2016 17:02:37
Juventus' offer has now expired (midnight last night brazil time) .

13.) 03 Aug 2016 09:11:44
I also spoke to a guy at Santos last night who said Barbosa rejected the offer. Frustrating as the kid is a real talent.

14.) 03 Aug 2016 15:18:35
Rejected whose offer?

29 Jul 2016 14:49:21
Chelsea have signed 16 year old goalkeeper Marcin Bulka from FCB Escola Varsovia from under the noses of Barcelona. Player flew to London yesterday and will sign a long contract with the club.

1.) 29 Jul 2016 14:59:46
It's unsure yet whether the player will stay with the academy or go on loan.

Hi Ed,

Do you have any info on who's getting their contracts extended at the end of the season?

{Ed002's Note - I have no interest in contracts Mikey.}

15 Aug 2016 10:57:11
De Laurentiis still reluctant to sell Koulibaly to Chelsea. When are we going to realise he might not be the player we should be looking at. Great player but why are we risking it for a squad that is already light and now the closest looking season ever has started.

1.) 15 Aug 2016 11:27:13
Problem is who else is there? And if there are others the owners of the team will raise the price up because they know we need a centre back. Unfortunately it's silly money nowadays but if we want to compete we need to stop being tight and pay the money the club asks for.

2.) 15 Aug 2016 12:29:59
Shkodran? Unsure if he will fit the side completely, but looks competent and wouldn't lose much value should we look to move him on next summer?

3.) 15 Aug 2016 12:47:22
Possibly a decent alternative. Apparently he is quite similar to cahill (only going by what I've heard) . Still, any centre back signing will be better than what we have now. I just feel the board hasn't learnt anything from last seas.

4.) 15 Aug 2016 12:50:05
find it odd that you didn't call him mustafi, which is how everybody knows him in football

shkodran is mustafis first name for those who don't know. I had a hunch but had to look it up to make sure.

5.) 15 Aug 2016 13:21:36
Apologies, yeah I meant mustafi.

6.) 15 Aug 2016 14:17:37
sounded like a rant there, was just pointing it out haha.

7.) 15 Aug 2016 14:49:00
Buying for the sake of buying is what caused a lot of our issues last year. If we are going to buy a centrehalf, it should be someone that's an improvement on our current group from day 1. While lindelof might develop into a fine player, he's not as developed as Christensen, and we have a number of young guys who show promise at the position (miazga, tomori, Clarke-salter) .

8.) 15 Aug 2016 15:31:20
Maybe buying a top quality Left or right back would be a better move. We have terry, Cahill, zouma and ivanovic (who is actually a good player when at CB) .

9.) 15 Aug 2016 16:01:30
Not a rant, I rarely rant at this stuff cause it isn't my money and Roman has and I believe to always be a great owner who funds the club when needed. We only have to look north east to see an owner running a club trying to make a profit, A club who need a CB and a striker and show no sign of trying to fix their problems, at least in recent windows we have seen to be active.

I wouldn't think buying someone like Mustafi would be the same as buying for the sake of buying, clearly a good defender where Djilobodji and Hector were never going to work out. Baba could still turn out to be a good player, but he isn't doing anything outstanding at the current moment.

TL;DR Never rant as owner genuinely cares and isn't scrimping to make profit. Mustafi better than a hit and hope option.

10.) 15 Aug 2016 16:22:53
Ivanovic WAS a good player at centre back just like he WAS a good right back. He's past it now and can't play either position to the standard we require. He had one decent game at centre back last season but when he was asked to play their again, him and Cahill formed the single most shaky and uncomfortable partnership in the league.

A new centre back is a must and a new full back is also required, we have very little cover in either position. Ake and Christensen should've stayed as back up but there's nothing we can do about that now.

11.) 15 Aug 2016 16:24:46
i meant that my first reply was rant like.

12.) 15 Aug 2016 16:49:40
haha i get it, no sweat my friend. I didn't take it like that. we're all chelsea fans wanting the best for our club.

10 Aug 2016 14:20:10
Koulibaly's agent has said that "The players situation will become clear in the next 2-3 days".

1.) 10 Aug 2016 14:37:41
the quote was : "I can say that in the next 2/ 3 days an announcement will be made and everything will be defined. "

2.) 10 Aug 2016 17:09:59
So I guess he will either sign for us, or he just got a much better wage at Napoli what do you guys think agent playing games for a better deal?

3.) 10 Aug 2016 19:38:00
His agent has said previously that he wanted to move for financial reasons. So a new bumper contract could encourage him to stay.

08 Aug 2016 09:09:00
Mata back at Chelsea? ;)

Don't say not a chance please Ed!

1.) 08 Aug 2016 10:50:11
not a chance.

30 Jul 2016 18:40:03
Baba Rahman looks to join Schalke 04 on a season long loan. Deal almost done. Where does this leave us in terms of full backs?

must be the sensible move for a loan, especially if he excels in the season and world cup, the fee will be much higher, or we could keep.

think willian will be handy to have around next year as i expect us to make further stages of cl and do well in the cups as usual. i'd like to hang onto him and not fussed if it means another player not coming in. good attitude, good player.

the players walk around that pitch like their 8foot high, confidence is massive. you knew that they were going to take something from that game and a mourinho team would have never gone for the second in stoppage time like that. can't picture a weak link in the squad.

i watched the terry and gerrard interview and long for the semi final battles with liverpool again, would love to be battling those english sides deep into the competition like old times. some of the most exciting games.
