Hey Ed, just wondering if there's anything to report on Courtois? And, I don't know if this is your sort of thing, but what do you expect to happen with him? Cheers.

JWBLUE

{Ed002's Note - There is nothing new. He is expected to return.}

1.) Cheers Ed, thank god for that. Another question Ed, if Courtois is expected to return, do you think Cech will be sold? Thanks once again for the work.

{Ed002's Note - Cech isn't fit.}

Hello Ed, hope you're well, can I just ask, is there anything to update on Oscar? And, could you see the club selling him perhaps to raise funding for other signings? Thanks.

JWBLUE

{Ed002's Note - Nothing new but he is ttracting interest from PSG and Barcelona.}

1.) Thanks Ed, seems to be both PSG and Barcelona are taking interest in our Brazilian players, hope we don't sell Oscar though.

{Ed002's Note - We will see.}

Hey Ed, I tried the search engine but the results seemed pretty dated, but can I ask, what are the clubs plans with Courtios? I think he must be a starter next year as he is such a great talent/prospect, thanks.

JWBLUE

{Ed002's Note - The plans are he will return in the summer.}

1.) Does that mean Cech will be moving on in the summer?

{Ed002's Note - The summer is a long way off.}

2.) Thanks Ed, so, does that perhas mean that Cech may leave, thanks.

Just a quick question Ed, Is there anything new on the De Bruyne situation, have any clubs made offers for De Bruyne and if so, have they met our valuation for the player? Thanks

JWBLUE

{Ed002's Note - There have been discussions with Wolfsburg and agreement reached with the clubs. It is up to the player to agree terms or to see if there is another offer. I suspect he will be happy with this deal and everyone can move on.}

1.) Hi Ed I take it this is for a permanent transfer and not a loan. Plus thanks for the update would you see us replacing him

{Ed002's Note - Yes for a permanent transfer and yes he will be replaced. It is all subject to contracts and an apology is required over something etc., but within a few days it should all be cleared up.}

2.) Thanks ed . Being nosy but an apology from who? Also would we replace him for another attacking midfielder or another position I don't see the point in buying another attacking midfielder when we have hazard Oscar Willian mata schurlle.

{Ed002's Note - The apology is unimportant to you. The plan is to replace him with Guarin.}

3.) Ok thanks I no it's of no importance too me just fort it was strange and was being nosy. But thanks any way great work as usual

4.) I for am glad he is going. He just falls short no where good as Oscar hazard and the likes let's hope gurain comes as we seriously in need of deep lying playmaker

5.) I'm almost certain that we will regret this and KDB will become a world class player, but looks like its set in stone.

{Ed002's Note - You should never regret it. He wants things the club cannot commit to and has not shown in training that he is will to work to obtain those goals. One of those things and time to move on.}

6.) I didn't know of his attitude in training, which being the case makes it less of a surprise then that he's being moved on. Just annoying as at the start of the season everyone had high hopes for him. I thought he would be better than Hazard given time, but that was based on thinking he had a better attitude for training, which I guess he doesn't.

7.) Best for everyone to move on but why guarin :(

Just a hypothetical question guys, but, if Hazard was to leave (please not), which creative/ attacking midfielder would you replace him with? I would presume money would be spent on a striker, but I feel selling our best player would require almost a direct replacement, I personally feel Reus would be the closest thing to Hazard we could get, and would leave us still with money to be spent elsewhere, but as I said, hopefully he isn't sold, and I'd presume the club have no intentions in doing so

JWBLUE

1.) Reus would definitely be on my list. Perhaps Gotze but he's more of a number 10. Depending on how well Oscar performs next season, I'd be tempted to swap Oscar for Reus.

2.) If Hazard leaves you could afford both Reus and Gotze

3.) If Hazard leaves or swapped with Cavani I do not expect another AM. Chelsea will probably search and sign LWM with few options starting with DiMaria, Reus, Rodrigo, Lavezzi even Hulk might be considered. Or maybe players like Bamford, Atsu or Traore will get their chance. But I would put my money on Rodrigo.

4.) I like Rodrigo as a 2nd choice striker, think he would fit our team well

5.) Nkch, any reason you'd assume the interest in Rodrigo still remains? For me, Reus and Gotze are probably the only players right now who could replace Hazard.

6.) Well JM has some kind of weakness when it comes to Benfika players at least he had in the past(Contrao, DiMaria, Matic) IMO Rodrigo and Markovic are his kind of players. My first choice would be Reus but it seems he is poised to join Man.Utd. Rodrigo would be cheaper and he would fit very well. I do't think JM would be interested in Goetze.
We will see what will happen with Hazard PSG wants him badly from various reasons. I've heard a rumour that Chelsea will change formation and playing style next season. We shall see.

Any news on the Hazard injury ed?

JWBLUE

{Ed018's Note - not from me. Been waiting to hear something. Didn't look like it should be to serious though}

1.) Cheers anyway, hopefully not, especially in the most crucial part of the season.

{Ed018's Note - can't afford to miss him but for the next 2 weekends. After that we will need him a for every match

Very pleased with the line-up for todays game, 3 points is a must

Played a very below average game today I thought, Thought the team lacked energy and looked tired, thankfully we now have a week off, Passing seemed slow at times from several players, and I fear we may have become too dependant of Hazards ability to create opportunities, Luiz just isn't a centre back, I understand today that injuries may have resulted in him playing there but still, and I thought that Mikel just didn't help the defence at all, Silva just walked past him to set up Nasri and this happened multiple times, But furthermore, City played well, they didn't allow our front 4 any space, let's just hope it's a one of and we'll be back to winning ways against Everton.

JWBLUE

1.) Slow and laboured no desire! Same as west brom. I have to say azpilicueta, Cahill, matic and hazard did all they can. But Willian tracking back brilliant, attacking he lacks the first touch and decent pass. Ramires needs to have his lead let off! Mikel what can I say. Still some building to do next season!

2.) I agree Blueboy, I also thought Ivanovic played quite well, but I really don't understand Ramires being played on the wing, especially when there is Mikel trying unsuccessfully in the defensive midfield role, played Ramires there is limiting to the thing he's good at, running, I'm sorry but he can't pass so as one of the front three he's below average, I just hope the team performance was poor due to fatigue.

3.) 16 Feb 2014 10:26:54
I also agree with Blueboy. To be honest, as hard working as willian is his first touch and passing is awful for a player we bought for 30 mil. Rami can be forgiven for a number of reasons :). And alson not to have a go at Salah but I thought we could have done better in a replacement for juan. Like townsend would have been wonderful for us would have fixed the home grown bill and also what we need in terms of a super sup impact player just saying.

What a free kick by Oscar, thought we dominated the game and could have won by 5 easily, Oscar was immense as was Hazard and Matic, wow, we have been missing that ability all season, broke up 90% of the opposition play and spread the play really well, good performance from the team today but we got the most difficult draw possible, C'mon you blues.

JWBLUE

1.) Agree thought matic was very good, just what we have been missing. Has that uncanny ability to get a foot in and be in the right place at the right time. Good going forward as well. Very comfortable afternoon.

Sorry Ed, you said the club may look at Kroos if 'another target' doesn't happen, is this other target Pogba Ed? Thanks.

JWBLUE

{Ed002's Note - You will need to point me at what I said.}

Is the primary target Pogba Ed?

JWBLUE

{Ed002's Note - "Primary"?}

Ed, is the interest in Kroos now related at all to the unlikelihood of signing Rakatic? Or is it two separate matters? Thanks (and sorry for asking a few questions in such a short period of time).

JWBLUE

{Ed002's Note - You are trying to overcomplicate matters.}

Can't wait for Monday too, great opportunity to get some goals and hopefully Costa on the scoresheet early on in the league.

I've thought Oscar's looked great, almost to the level he was at the start of last season, making good passes, being direct, he's been good, and hopefully he can continue that throughout the season. I was impressed by Willian last night too, the previous game I mentioned how he sometimes took too long on the ball, but last night it was as if he had read mine (and other fans') comments and upped his game, I thought the whole team looked great last night.

I remember reading an article on WAGNH a while back, and with us having played quite a high line and pressing game in pre-season, I can see us doing so this season, this I believe is the reason why defensively, we have been poor (as well as other reasons) this pre-season, none of our Cb really suit a high line, however the article stated how Varane suits playing a high line.

I think he'd be a better signing than Benatia due to cost, potential etc.

Just wanted to throw Varane in there :D

Most of the time he completely kills the tempo, Would put Schurrle ahead of him for the RAM spot. Thought Oscar looked class tonight and Costa scored a cracker!

Would love to see the sales of Lukaku and the players you (MB1) feel should be sold (and I agree with) to fund bids for Varane, Pogba and another striker, maybe Aubemeyang.

Having those three players, which to some extent I would deem as fairly realistic, I think would make us the most strong, and balanced team in England and potentially Europe, aswell as then having Mourinho on top.
