Chelsea fc in my eyes needed to stop leaking goals and at the minute joee has done that and poeople are moaning get the defence sorted then wrk on attack its going to take time because mourinho is back he's not going to be able to fix everything it will still take time {Ed018's Note - there should be no moaning from anyone. We just took a point away at United. No complaints from me}

First; decent result today, not a scintilating performance but defensive solidarity and a few decent half-chances. much better result for us than MU.

Second; Welcome back Ed002, so glad you're back and I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say your work is VERY appreciated and probably underrated too! And thanks to all other Eds that kept the page ticking over for the last weeks.

On a bright note, our defence looked good today. RVP totally kept quiet. Shame we didn't win, but going to Old Trafford is never easy, so a draw isn't bad.
The line-up and subs weren't 100% to my liking, but who am I.
In José we trust

Yeah nice humility Jackson, had Rafa or RDM picked that squad and had the same results you and everyone else would be crying about the opportunity lost to set the city of Manchester aflame and for their pharmacies to run out of anxiety and depression medication especially with citys weekend result.

But no we cannot question Jose. Honestly I don't see anything special about him and if he keeps this up he won't make it to January because it will soon cost us results. No excuses for his team selection or treatment of Mata. Lukaku can't get a start but Shurlle gets his 1st at Old Trafford of all places. I don't think we will win any trophies this season and if we do it will only happen because he plays the players that us(know nothing) fans knows should be playing, in which case I won't then give Jose credit for doing what he should have been. I'm just frustrated and disappointed because I expected better, especially the way things ended at Real but he hasn't changed at all.

Look, the only thing I wasn't too pleased with is he played without Lukaku and Ramires-Lampard in midfield. Lukaku is still very young so perhaps he wasn't ready for this game, the manager would know better than us.
We still took a point, so I'm fairly happy and I'm not going to moan. I'm sure we'll be fine this season

Decent defensive display tonite, we would have lost that last season back four superb.

Same thing said about our 1st 2 wins "last season we would have lost that". How about the fact that we have a much deeper and better squad and we should gets these 3 points. Imagine how much better our defense could have been without Lamps trying to play dm. What if we started one of our strikers with epl experience who have played at old Trafford before? TSO my ass. {Ed018's Note - and how you g is this team. This isn't a bad result. Relax a bit}

Ok Ed018, i've always respected your opinion so I'm just going to patient over these next few weeks and see what happens and I won't post after matches until that time. I have to be honest though that I have the same feeling inside as I did when RDM was given the job.

Strange initial line up. Surely needed a more experienced number 9 from start. Need to bring one on soon, probably Lukaku. We also do still lack commanding DM eg De Rossi. Hazard not having one of his best, and our passing must surely improve. Let's hope to sneak something here, please

To be fair to Hazard, most of the time he receives the ball he gets double or triple teamed immediately so his impact is going to go down.
I think with Lukaku and Ramires-Mikel in midfield from the start we could have gotten a win actually. We just lacked a focal point in attack.
Van Persie also lucky to get away with that elbow on KDB

VBS we didn't need di rossi, just someone decent in the position like a Essien or Van Ginkel. As far as our passing, we have the best in the Epl on our bench. And Jackson, haven't you noticed that since about the middle of last season every team we've played puts 2 to 3 players around Hazard all the time. Where is the tactical brilliance to get him free, especially if you're going to take other feared players who would share the attention off the pitch.

OK Bluelab, you may be right, but think VanG has a way to go, understandably, before he can be that hard interceptor yet skillful passer (long when necessary) who gets positioning right 95% of time (De R, Alonso in pomp) Claude M etc. And didn't see Essien pre-season games -- but do his knees and all round fitness look ok? Take point about EH: perhaps has to come from deeper more often and/or one of other amigos to play closer to him on attack/breaks. But what do I know, others almost certainly more!

I'd try Hazard in central attacking midfield personally. Way more passing lanes for him if they try to double up. But I agree Jose has to find a way to get him constantly involved

Different experience with this website all together. Registration and Ed002 have made this worth visiting.

Alot of us have wanted it for so long now, couldn't have come soon enough.
Hopefully stops all the trolling and disgusting posting. {Ed018's Note - lets hope}

Much easier to block the tools I'm guessing? Seems to have worked on the other pages with registration so can only be a good thing.

Hi ed2, welcome back. Probably way of the mark with this but do you think with the potential addition of Willian do you think mata could be used in a deal to sign Rooney? I appreciate that Willian could play as a striker but from what I've seen he's very much like hazard, and likes to roam. Who would you think we could get that will lead the line as both nando and ba just haven't cut it. {Ed002's Note - Moses is the player that has been freed up by the arrival of Willian. There has been no enquiry for Mata from Manchester United. Ba should be leaving in the next week.}

What do you think the best starting lineup today would be? I think we need strong midfield today and a beast upfront.

Do you agree or would you change anything?

I like the idea of Essien and Ramires in the middle but I think Lampard will start with Ramires for the 'big' games. Expect to see Ramires playing a more 'disciplined' role if that is the case.
I would also prefer to see Oscar instead of Mata, as he and KDB have contributed well over the past few games and deserve to start. Mata would make sense but it is hard to tell if he will be picked with all the rumours around at the moment.
Lukaku is a definite for me too, deserves a start!

Eds, once registration for the site becomes compulsory will Ed02 consider coming back to our page? Presumably those persons who hurl abuse will be less likely to do so given there inherent cowardice, once their actions can be tracked back to them? (citing person poster referring to Eto'o below) {Ed002's Note - Yes but obviously there are those looking to wreck it for everyone. If it starts again, I will be gone.}

I hope everything turns out well because the information that the Eds pass on to us is priceless. I see them as godly figures feeding us with their knowledge voluntarily, which should be praised by EVERYONE on this site. Chelsea will always have a place in my heart and to receive quality information from the Eds has had me hooked from the first day I read from here. I really want you guys to enjoy your time here and not get abused for doing nothing wrong and simply sharing information as well as your own opinions. Some people don't realise what they have until it is gone.
