Given the news on Wes, do we need another CB? personally, without European football I think 4 (Colwill, Silva, Trev and Badiashille) are enough but if Trev wants to leave for regular first team football, then we definitely will need someone, do we get a plan option or try for Silva's replacement this summer?

Dreadful news for Fofana, thoughts with the lad, but there were fears of this happening when we bought him on back of injury at Leicester. Our banter about who would make up the bridge four in the treatment room at CFC comes back to mind.

What to do now? And with injury to BB? I would also go with TC. and if we keep MC he could possibly play on left in back 3 if needed.

But after a too bloated squad, we can't move too far the other way to one that's too thin plus concerns that it it is also overall containing a number of (albeit very talented) youngsters relatively or completely inexperienced at EPL level.

Would love us to bring Marc Guehi back, doubt it will happen. Not really sure we need a CB unless Trev does go, and not seen any decent bid for him yet.

Terrible news about Fofana. His injury at Leicester was a broken leg obviously unrelated to his injuries whilst at Chelsea. Worrying Bash not back until September probably best to see how things go and review in January but the risk is, it might be too late.

We should start the season with three fit CH’s with BB ready for selection in September.

I personally would have picked TC over Fofana on last years performances anyway.

Tom. unlike you I don’t have a lot of confidence in TC. Leaving that aside, all we need is one more injury and one of our CBs performing badly and we are in trouble. Poch and the coaching staff will have to make the call on that one.

Harry maguire in on loan if we are not going to buy one Trevor for me not good enough and we can’t rely on silva maybe a blessing this no European football this year. Still think we are spending too much time on caicedo should have been done and in America with the team pre season. Same with a striker especially if he’s not tested in the premiership they require some time to adapt there just doesn’t seem to be any urgency. Bore off with there ages to go in the window that’s not the point the new players require time so we get he best possible start.

Nib, every single Chelsea supporter wanted our transfer business done and dusted on the first day of the window but it’s never that easy.

Some players have only been back with the club a few days so a few days more won’t make much difference.

Glad you said that tomb mate I think fofana is our new kepa cost to much and isn't a elite player

But benoit I feel is very good if you swapped there transfer prices I'd would have no problem

I feel benoit and colwill will be our cb future in the long term.

Agree GG, a lot of clubs play 2 right footed players at CB, what's to say there can't be 2 left footed players there for us. It comes down to the quality of the player.

I really don't rate fofana as a centre half and would ask for another leader of defender ragardless as injuries to two or more at tge back will put us in pressured positions. That's reason I was advocating for utility players in the squad. i asked if Chelsea had interest in cancelo who's unsettled in Munich and can play in multiple positions. When you have such players you can maintain a small squad yet effective.
Again I still don't think we enter the season with kepa as our main keeper.

He would make light all the effort of the team. This is not being negative but he's not good enough for Chelsea imo . A keeper is a very important spine of any team and kepa leaks goals for a stable backline.
