I still don't get excited about the signings with potter as the manager. its like pouring water into a basket. Chelsea should just accept it was a mistake and go bring in a proper coach. We can't be homeless while we build the utopia future. We might not survive to live in the future. You survive first before enjoying the future you built.

It's my opinion. Reason for potter appointment doesn't seem purely on football reasons but a PR and is going to hurt the fans all over the world. We have a quality players just to get a system that suit them and any manager that struggle with this squad should be fired immediately.

I also think roman models should be held on, maintain a strong quality squad and manager given targets and decisions made thereafter. Any condition that keeps a manager that's not doing well will set Chelsea far behind even arsenal etc. Potter hasn't shown anything to suggest he will turn things around if given time.

We might be making mistakes of allowing a temporal manager make impactful signings and a proper manager will come in to struggle to adapt them in his own way. I expect Chelsea to get a manager first before spending otherwise it will just be for the sake of it. potter plays the same formation as tt yet all the players are lost as to what to do. He's not playing his best players because he doesn't know what their strengths are. I may refrain from watching Chelsea matches with potter in charge. we have no identity and abysmal.

ilo, we know you don't like Graham Potter. Not every post needs to start with this.
And Roman's model as per say is why we continuously have made poor reactionary signings at huge fees in the last 5 years. A change in direction was needed as the sport has changed a lot from 2004.

I haven’t got a clue how the appointment of Potter is a “PR”. That seems a bizzare comment to me.

Ilo never lose the faith. Trust me, I’ve supported the club through some complete horror shows as managers but I’ve given them more than a few games before I made any judgement.

We seem to be getting a reasonable team together to support the management and owners in building a club and team for the future.

All looks positive to me.

I am not going to comment on Potter. I am fully supportive of the owners vision for the future particularly restructuring of the recruitment and scouting and am pleased we have brought in and are linked to talented young players. To my mind a specific coach is not integral to the fulfilment of that vision. If Potter succeeds all well and good. However, we must also deal with the present because we have a”project “ doesn’t mean we should not be looking to win trophies in the here and now. I have written off this season but we must start competing at the highest level next season. There are consequences for lack of success on pitch : attracting top class players sponsorship deals etc not to mention financing the redevelopment of the Bridge which if it is to believed will be done in stages thereby decreasing our match day revenue to a level far below our rivals.

I haven’t posted in quite a long time but Potter was an ill judged appointment in my opinion. No pedigree at our level and no reputation to help attract the quality of player we need to attract and should be competing for. I personally think that is an issue.

The new owners, whilst still very new, have not impressed with their approach thus far. This is a very important second half of a season. No Champions League qualification can only be a hindrance to our rebuilding. Not only in trying to attract players but also trying to retain the right players.

Can't believe I'm reading this crap the club are clearly restructuring and building for the future with up and coming young talent and Potter is included in that be patient that is the motto for next 12 to 18 months
I suppose you want simione or poch or mourinho back grow a set and relax yes we haven't been great this season but in the last six months every single aspect of the club has changed and you expect it to just click into place that is totally unrealistic
And by the way ilo I think roman had left us pretty short in the end direction had been lost totally
Anyway enjoy the new project and enjoy us becoming the club to envy in the future.

gianfranco gola this is a site that I believe is available for people to share their opinions, as long as it’s done in a respectful way. If it’s an echo chamber of opinions exactly like your own that you want to read then there’s a simple answer to that.
We’ll see about Potter but again, my OPINION, is that he isn’t good enough or a manager that top quality talent is going to be attracted by. No, I don’t want any of the managers you mentioned. I personally would have stood by Tuchel and had patience but am allowed to say that or was that not the correct time to ‘grow a set and relax’?
