so Mourinho said that Essien is ahead of him which probably means he's staying and he didn't mention mikel. not sure if that means anything but there it is.

Gutted. Romeu should be playing now not the oldies. Problems with managers with favourite lap dogs. Rdm was the same issue.

He's still only 20/21 - plenty of time. if he has a strong year he'll be back. he might be behind essien and lampard but ramires van ginkel oscar de bruyne luiz and mikel are ahead of them.

I can imagine Jose answering that. I don't think Moyes will like his colourful use of language. No chance in a deal like that plus Mata and Jose have both confirm they want to be here (or want the other to be here) next season. Rooney will hand in a transfer request again and force a deal through.

Eds - Fabregas to Chelsea? Can you really see that happening? Didn't think there was much love lost between him and Mourinho

I doubt he will leave Barcelona especially after Alcantara went to Bayern.

Where would Fabregas fit in to the Chelsea team. We have an abundance of attacking/creative midfielders and 2 box to box players in van Ginkel and Ramires.

We need a DM - possibly de Rossi.
Very keen to see van Ginkel - I think he is a star in the making

Not a Chelsea question; more general banter. Is Lionel Messi the greatest player to have ever graced football? If no who is and why? Will Messi ever be surpassed? Or can Messi become even better than he currently is?
(Still will never score against Chelsea though)

I don't think messi would be as great if he didn't have xavi and iniesta to assist in his goals. At this time I think ronaldo is a better overall player (tall, fast, ball control, freekicks). Although messi may have better ball control, ronaldo is a more complete player. Best player in history is hard to say but I would choose from ronaldinho, pele or maradona

Think it depends when you grew up watching the game. My dad (who knew a bit about football) always said Garincha, I grew up watching Cruyff and would say he was the best, for others it's Maradona so who knows. Definitely a generational thing.

To be fair Iniesta and Xavi only got 11 assist between them to Messi.

Zidane would have to be up there messi is in one of the best teams ever, makes his job a lot easier. Ronaldo maradona Zidane platini and others all did fantastic things and changed games in ordinary teams, is why I put them above messi,
One other thing no one is allowed to tackle messi if you do it's a foul so how can you get the ball off of someone the ref protects

Jovetic to Man city 30 Million euros, who next for cfc all the strikers are going, niw I had rather we stick with torres, lukaku. ba and schurle, mourinho can get the best out of them, beside we have the best midfeilders despite what we all think, one on one no club has what we got in oscar, hazard mata schurle, de bryne, van ginkel, piazon, ake and the old guards lamp, essien, mikel and moses, I bet all the top clubs will rush at the chance of swaping their midfeild with ours, besides we have the happy one as the twelve Man and the fans as the 13th man, fingers crossed I am alright with the squad.

I don't think Ba will be staying. In my view he is not good enough at the top level

Get rid of Ba and Torres. Bring in Ibra. We would have Ibra, Lukaku and Schurrle.

I would say the same thing about Torres.
