Today, the supporters of Liverpool, Spurs, Arsenal and Chelsea have issued a statement/ request to UEFA regarding there choices for venue finals.

All of their requests seem fairly reasonable to me.

I assume it's all to do with travelling for their fans, perhaps these rich clubs should pay for the supporters to travel to see the team. Don't know what the proposals are, but no doubt comes down to more money for the clubs. I am sure the supporters of Bury would like to see their team play in the football league, let alone European finals. Maybe the super rich clubs could have written a letter asking for teams like Bury to have a bit more of the gold pot.

I know some of the lower league clubs are badly run, but my concern are the supporters.

Sid, the proposals are about last years European finals and are from the supporters trusts. They are various topics, such as ticket allocation, travel, ground capacity.

They are more like a wish list and will almost certainly be ignored by UEFA but as far as I can tell I don’t think the clubs will benefit financially.

Some of the venues that are chosen do seem bizarre but it’s all about expanding the game, however, how holding a major European final in somewhere like Azerbaijan does that is beyond me.

AJH thank you for your comment. The likelihood of UEFA listening to any of these proposals is small to none. Can you imagine 80% of final tickets going to fans? It’s never going to happen but we can live in hope.

{Ed002's Note - Clubs bid to hold the finals and the UEFA Exec Committee decide which bids to accept two years in advance. So 2020 will see Istanbul for the EL and Gdansk for the EL. In three weeks they will announce if the 2021 CL final is to be in St Petersburg or Munich and if the EL final is to be in Seville or Tbilisi. I am sure the little bitches like the fantasist will be hoping Chelsea are knocked out early on so they don't have to try and find Heathrow to travel to the games.}
