According to some sources this morning Chelsea would want £100 million for Jackson amid strong interest from AC Milan and a number of premier league clubs. let's see how this pans out and I'm not even going to guess what he might sell for as the market is crazy high.

Greenaway
There is, absolutely no way Italian clubs would pay £30mil for Jackson.
They will probably want him on a 5 year loan, us pay his wages and give them a few million for their begging bowl.

I think the £100 million is a message to any suitors Bill indicating that the club do not want to sell and the player is happy to stay but if you really do want him the fee will be £100 million and in this money mad market who knows?

Agree with your assessment Greenaway, just fed up with Italian clubs coming to us with their begging bowls.

Greenaway, do you actually believe the club are asking £100 million for Jackson. I have no idea whether the club wants him to stay or he wants to stay but I’m sure if we were offered £50 million we would say yes. As I said previously, his game time will be limited next season.

I haven’t got a clue what the CF pecking order will be for next season. At this stage in the relative careers I think Jackson offers more than Delap.
I think the £100m Chelsea price tag comes from the Daily Mail. I think there point is Chelsea don’t want to sell him so have put a prohibitive price on any potential sale. It’s all just people guessing.

I’ve no idea of the order for next season, although at the start I’d expect Pedro and Delap will be ahead. We should also remember that Jackson isn’t only an option through the middle.

I have a sneaky feelings about selling Jackson now will have a similar effect like salah, debrune, etc. He's not a bad player. He only needs more work and time to finetune his abilities which naturally is bound to getting better.
For me don't sell.

I like Jackson but I am a sell him for £50 M
Delap and Pedro clearly in front of him and his temperament is not the best.

Seymns, we all see players differently and while I except that Jackson’s discipline is poor, I think he offers far more at this stage of their respective careers than Delap. Although they look totally different types of players.

I feel/ think Pedro (who plays a similar game, except he can finish) was bought as a replacement for Jackson. Delap, as showcased in the final, offers speed and bullying of tired defenders as a true number 9, as a complete alternative. 2 red cards in 3 games from Jackson let both himself and the team (and us supporters) down. Very unprofessional, and not what we need moving forward, and I wonder if the management has realised this, and, that it may not change.
Quite honestly, dispensing with a player who has zero air-ability (except for once in the last 2 years) for 2 players who compliment each other, and the squad, is a no brainer for me, AND, we make a profit on initial purchase.
The CWC final proved to me that players, playing for a team, far surpasses players playing for individual brilliance!
So, Jackson should be sold!

Kiwi I'm of the opinion that we are yet to see the best of Jackson and I will hesitate in selling him just yet as he's capable of biting us in the future. Let's keep him at least for another season. My own opinion though.
