Coming to you guys to see if there is any truth to the talk of Columbus Crew in discussions over Falcao. I think this stems from an article that arose a month or so ago where one of our players (Federico Higuain- brother of Gonzalo) had mentioned that Falcao would benefit by coming to America right now.

Seems like it is more a case of the papers taking that quote and creating something from nothing. He hasn't done much for you but he would probably do well for us.

I'd be happy to see him join your club. He hasn't been able to contribute, partly because of an injury that's been lasting a while now. I hope he's able to help some team, as it's clear he's trying when he plays.

{Ed002's Note - He is a Monaco player not a Chelsea player.}

Oh I know, Ed :) Still I'd be happy to see him succeed somewhere. Whether that's at Monaco or at another club doesn't matter much to me. I just don't think it'll be at Chelsea.

I thought maybe you guys would have some insight since he is currently at Chelsea. Do Chelsea have the ability to end their loan or halt a move to MLS?

{Ed002's Note - He is contracted to Chelsea until the end of the season and Monaco has no way to terminate that contract without the agreement of Chelsea. However, Chelsea do have a break point in the contract and would be pleased to let him return to Monaco (he should be fit in a week or two), but that would be at a cost and they would need to ensure that they have sufficient cover. Then Monaco would be able to decide whether they keep him to cover for losing El Shaarawy or to negotiate a loan or a transfer to any of the interested clubs.}
