Is KDB the key to the Schurrle move, meaning Chelsea are letting him decide whether he wants to go on loan there next season? The papers are saying that he's holding out for a firm offer from Dortmund, is any of this at least similar to the actual situation? {Ed002's Note - It is correct that he does not wish to be loaned to Bayer Leverkusen but he accepts a loan again next season is likely. He has a very strong preference for a loan to Dortmund.}

Brock_Landers

1.) I really hope we don't sell KBD, he looks class.

2.) 24 Apr 2013 19:53:54
Buy Ilkay Gundogan and loan KDB as a sweetener. Exactly what we need in CM and let's KDB get some experience at a very good club. win win.

3.) Hey ed, are Dortmund interested in loaning him or just wanna buy him off?
Dastanj {Ed002's Note - A loan is what has been discussed.}

4.) Cant believe what is going on with KDB, he is 21 going on 22 surely he is old enough, mature enough, and experienced enough to offer our squad something.
He has had a fantastic season thus far, plays regularly for his national team and can play in a position we are lacking real talent. At the moment it seems as though we are cutting our losses with him without giving him a chance to prove himself. IF he is loaned out next season that will be two full seasons and half a season, seems ridiculous to me as I am sure more players will come in the summer making it less and less likely he will be given a shot.

5.) Cool your baby jets, player. It's obvious the club want to hold onto him as Ed has repeatedly said that loans are being considered, not permanent moves. I imagine he wants to play for CFC someday, and hopefully he will. The club has its reasons for doing everything, so leave it at that.

Eds: Are Chelsea going to push for Aubameyang now that Lukaku is gone? I know we have the foreign player quota to deal with, but if Torres were to leave would Aubameyang be top choice?

Brock_Landers

{Ed018's Note - they are still interested in Aubameyang not much more to add to that right now}

Eduard018 - Have you and Brook been watching or have plans to watch WC games at Mulligan's?

Brock_Landers

{Ed018's Note - yea we've been up there for as many matches as we can}

Ed018:

Will Mulligans in strongsville be open tomorrow for the Arsenal game and if so will there be plenty of CFC supporters?

Brock_Landers

{Ed018's Note - yes they will be open for the match. It's hard to say how many will be up. I'd guess there will be around 10-15 people}

1.) Thanks for the reply Ed, I had a great time and I will definitely be back. The bald guy with the Ohio Blues hat is really nice. I'm guessing you were the guy close to the TVs with the can of Skoal. I will introduce myself to you next time I come.

Rafa avoided playing Mikel, I doubt he'd sign him. Thought he was going to Turkey?

Take it easy guys, how can you just bash him like that? He's 22 years old, works hard, and can only improve. He may not be a fixture in the first 11, but he has been useful throughout the year.

We have no reason to sell KDB. The fact that Dortmund want him is an obvious sign that he is a star in the making because they are great at evaluating and developing talent.

Straight cash is the only way

The Hulk rumour has nothing on Ken Aguero.

As we learned from the Ancelotti days, Jose owns Carlo in big time games, so let's hope for a victory over Atletico and RM over Bayern tomorrow.

Ramires was my favorite player last season because I valued his workrate and those very rare but amazing goals he'd occasionally put together. but he has rubbish the bed this year by being sloppy in every aspect of the game. I guess I am officially changing to Matic.

Come on, it's not like the refs are actively conspiring to ruin our title chances. In theory the squad is supposed to play well enough so that it leaves nothing up to chance - things out of our control like weather and the referees have very little effect on results in the long-run. We have been on the benefit side of plenty of officiating decisions this season and it all balances out. The only way to mitigate the risk of these factors is to play so well that you literally eliminate the possibility of them affecting the match outcome. And we did not do that today.

"Lucky" people continuously put themselves in favorable positions/situations by working hard and all the haters call it luck.

Brock_Landers

{Ed018's Note - it is certainly not the referee's fault for the outcome of the match. Chelsea instead of dropping back after the first goal should've went out and got the second and third goal and put the match away. That being said for anyone who has watched a lot of the matches in the EPL this year, the ref's have been awful and it really needs to improve because they do miss and screw up a lot of big calls. Ramires should've see red today but the ref somehow 3 feet away didn't see him blatantly hit Larsen. It needs to change}

Everybody knows that we lack firepower, but Mourinho needs to stop publicly blaming the strikers. It's probably a good thing that he is doing this vow of media silence because I'm sure it would be all about how the strikers could not finish if he were speaking.

A good manager, regardless of whether it is business or sports should always give credit to his employees/players when things go well and he should accept responsibility (take the blame) when things go poorly. Just ask Warren Buffett. Jose still has some maturing to do and although he claimed that he had changed when he first returned, he has to fully commit to improving HIMSELF. He seems to have made positive steps by working with the Club's new structure, but if he really wants to stop being a nomad and stay here for the long term then in one word, has to be more humble.

Our results have been quite fortunate this year given the circumstances, and we are lucky to have made it so far in the Champions League as well as fighting for the League. Demba Ba is responsible for the two wins prior to today's match, and it's remarkable he was able to produce given his treatment by Mourinho. Mourinho moaned about Torres and Eto'o but yet refused to give Ba a chance until he was desperate. Luckily Ba had not lost all confidence in his ability and he came up big - hopefully that goal against PSG earned him a starting spot at a new club because he deserves it.

Mourinho was smart by downplaying our chances of winning the title all season so it would look like a masterful job by him if we were to win, but I also think he is very smart and realistic and honestly believed that this year was not our year. Deep down, we all knew that the squad needed at least a year to be ready to win the league - We all just got a little greedy when we saw that it was actually possible to win the League and we need to look back at the expectations we had at the beginning of the year and realize that we have had a very good season. Especially considering we have a new manager, plenty of new players, and the Club are working towards being a sustainable, long-lasting business that doesn't require silly cash injections every year. Who knows if FFP will have any teeth, but this was always the goal. Our transfer conduct over the last two windows is a prime example of how much we have grown and everything is pointing up. We have the right people in place and we are slowly getting better each day.

Next year will be even better.
