Possible Changes for next season in european football.

This summer looks like it could change the dynamism of european football. Changing their managers will most likley be:

Manchester United
Manchester City
Chelsea
Real Madrid
Bayern Munich
PSG

Never have we seen this many european giants change their managers at once and we may see a massive shift in power next season. Add that to the possibillity of some of the world best players, future and present, changing clubs such as:

Robert Lewandowski
Radamel Falcao
Edison Cavani
Mario Gotze
Mario Gomez
Arjen Robben
Andre Schurrle
Neymar
Cristiano Ronaldo

^ I know all those won't happen btw ^

But all this makes for a very interesting and expensive summer and I feel that certain clubs will come out of it brilliantly and some will feel the force of making wrong moves in the transfer market (or no moves, heads up Arsenal fans).

I hope come September 1st, Chelsea will be regarded as serious challengers for trophies and not a team that made the wrong moves and ended up paying the price for it.

My personal top 2 targets for this summer would be Jose Mourinho and Robert Lewandowski.

Have a good week,
KTBFFH!

P. S. let's do a european double - COME ON BOYS!

Alessandro

1.) Higuan
Benzema
Suarez
Rooney
Jovetic
Villa
Isco

2.) Manchester City - European giant. LOL. You tend to have to finish above last in your group to be called that.

Rumour is that Khedira and Hulk will be mourinho's first targets if he were to join chelsea.

I personally would be very happy with khedira. Hulk would also be a great addition assuming the price was >30m.

This is my opinion, what are peoples thoughts?

Alessandro

1.) I think there are better options than khedira and I think hulk could add something to our squat but I would pay much more than £20 mil.

Tk

2.) Khedira would not be worth the price that his services would demand.

Hulk is big headed, selfish and pretty overrated

Hi ed, as there is no page for PSG, please can you tell me who they are interested in and what their transfer plans are for the summer? Was surprised by how good they were aainst Barca.

Thanks as always {Ed002's Note - I really cannot start lengthy discussions about PSG on the Chelsea page.}

Alessandro

1.) It would be a shorter message if you asked who they were not interested in.

hi ed002-i know chelsea had an interest in hulk in the summer but a move failed to materialise. If I am correct it is because the club were not willing to pay the price tag which was quoted by porto and theat there were complicated third party issues.

my question is, would the club consider making an effort to sign him in the summer for the right price? or does no interest remain?

cheers {Ed002's Note - You need to use the search function and dfon't have time to go back over everything that was explained in teh summer. Do you think the club flip-flops between players they are interested in every time some says they want to move?}

Alessandro

hi ed, does interest remain in paulinho? I don't personally understand the fuss over him. cheers {Ed002's Note - Interest in Paulino remains from Inter MIlan, Chelsea and PSG. Although Inter have baulked at the price being asked by Corinthians and the other rights holders and they did make a proposal that would have resulted in them only taking partial ownership, this was seemingly acceptable to the club but not the player. With a large percentage of his rights held outside the club a move to Italy will be much easier to arrange than a move to England and I would think a move to Inter will happen in the Summer with him remaining one of their two key targets.}

Alessandro

1.) Hi lpool fan here don't think it matters who u play in final you will or should win that cup just wanted an honest opinion off your fans what do u make of torres

2.) Torres doing ok but damage is done for me for all the times I've seen him with his hands on his hips being lazy and sulking. Still hope he goes in summer

Pinky

3.) He is good with the mask. Without is a different story. If he can finish the season in the same form as he is currently playing, I would be happy. We must remember he is on 19 goals this season, it isn't spectacular but its a hell of a lot better than the last 2 seasons.

4.) 12 Apr 2013 14:43:57
Torres is on 20, just 3 less than RVP in all competitions. I'm not sure how many both Falcao and Cavani have scored each. The reason why I wouldn't want another 50m pounds on a striker is the pressure.

5.) Falcao has already moved for big money and has had no known injury problems unlike Torres did before we signed him.

6.) How many has Torres in the prem? Not many me think.

7.) Whilst Torres has never rediscovered his blistering form at liverpool, his goals tally this season (in all comps) is above average. In fact if RVP fails to score in his next Utd match he will EQUAL Torres longest ever run without scoring at Chelsea. Food for thought, it's an interesting comparitive.

8.) Falcao has scored 22 in La liga and 28 in total. Cavani has scored 22 in Serie A and 31 in total. Torres has scored 7 in PL and 19 in total.

I have never been one to say 'torres is back'! But on thursday I saw something different. His pace is back! His touch was better, passing improved, confident display all round and a good work rate.

I am pessemistic about him ever making it at chelsea now, and I still highly doubt he will be the torres we all loved a few year back. But if he can do that and get 10 or so more goals before the end of the season, assuming he isn't involved in the falcoa deal, i'd love to keep him 6 more months. A rejuvinated torres is still in the top 3 strikers in the world. I doubt he can, but if so, good luck to him and I will be right behind him.

lets support our lads till the end!

KTBFFH {Ed018's Note - I'm all for supporting everyone on the team but a rejuvinated Torres is no where near one of the top 3 forwards in the world. Hopefully a rejuvinated Torres can help and contribute through the rest of the season}

Alessandro

1.) Another load of rubbish bore off!

maybe the mask is a re-incarnate of torres' mojo. ?

Alessandro

1.) He thinks he's Zorro! Nice to see him bag a couple last night, though.

For the first time in a Chelsea shirt, Fernando Torres is playing like a £50m striker! Savour this, it may be the last time we ever see it.

Alessandro

1.) He's not playing like a 50 million striker.
He's just better than the usually rubbish we see.

2.) Exactly my thoughts mate!
TcBlue.

3.) Go away torres hater.

4.) Torres played really good. Don't get the unmotivated hatred on. Had he played most of the nights like he did tonight - you'd all worship him. Too bad, it only happened a few times. Maybe a couple, only.

My team for the game against Rubin Kazan.

Azpi, Iva, Mikel all rested due to playing the last 2 games. Luiz on the right side of defence to cover Paulo's lack of pace and fitness. Lamps and Rami in the middle for extra fitness levels they both possess. (Lamps due to not playing against United). Moses given another chance in place of a tired Oscar. Mata and hazard both start due to, the fact that taking Rubin Kazan lighlty will prove to be a big mistake. If we are in the position to do so, sub them both off as early as possible, in prepartion for a more than likley revitalised Sunderland on sunday. Torres up front, for there is no other choice.

Cech, Paulo, Luiz, Terry, Bertie, Lampard, Rami, Moses, Mata, Hazard, Torres.

Would love to give Marin the game time he so desperatley craves to reach his undoubted potential, but far too big a risk, especially when he has barely even shown glimpses this season. Hopefully if all is going well, he can replace Mata as a substitute.

Alessandro

1.) Id agree only change i'd make is, i'd start with Mikel and bring Rami on 2nd half with his pace and his forward runs he would do great, Unless we started full throttle and put Mikel on at the end to finish game off, but as we have been slow starters this season i'd start with Mikel.
One Bomb Tom

2.) I disagree for 2 reasons.

Firstly, Mikel played 90mins against Saints and Man Utd.

Secondly, against Saints, it was once again proven how inconsistent the partnership is between Mikel and Lampard. Add that to the the fact that they both don't posses any pace, I stick by my desicion.

Cavani is overated and over priced. Best ooption for a new striker would be lewandowski in my opinion. much cheaper, younger, versatile and less ego and hype, therefore less likley to crumble

Hi ed002, thanks for the explanation. I have two questions:

If a release clause is not legally binding, then is it basically just an agreement between the club and the player?

Also, can you confirm the 2 clubs who met Cavani's release clause?

Thanks as always {Ed002's Note - It is a figure that will deter a club from bidding whilst likely giving a player a better wage. One bid was from Chelsea in cash and the other involving Giovinco and Matri plus a pile of cash that was offered by Juventus to no avail.}

Lampard has said numerous times that he will continure playing for as long as he can at the highest level and then retire. he also said he doesn't want to live in the past so will not have a career in football.
