Ed, is it possible that Phil Jones, of Blackburn, will be brought in to be the replacement for John Terry? I really like Jones. He's homegrown, has EPL experience, speaks English, and is good on te ball for a centre-half. I think Terry has at least one more good year and another one or so to be part-time, which leads me to believe an immediate replacement such as Subotic isn't necessary whereas you can bring in a younger player and either groom them or let them gain experience on loan while Terry is here. {Ed002's Note - I don't know of any interest at this time. The centre back that the club has looked as a long term investment is Nevan Subotic.}

Ed what big players will be coming to the premier league this summer {Ed002's Note - As I have said, it is really difficult to say with any confidence, but I expect there will be a few well known players. If you look further down the page there is discussion on a number of players Chelsea have an interest in.}

Ed is pini zahavi doing the neymar deal for abramovich and is that why neymar stayed back in england wit zahavi
this deal has to happen, the only thing i think that could stop it is santos suddenly upping the price tag by 10m or something which im assuming is what udinese did with sanchez

{Ed002's Note - Chelsea have a representative who deals with a lot of the pre-transfer dealings. I don't think it matters who it is. A deal is still far from done. The Sanchez issue was not about money.}

Ed who is negotiating these deals is it arnesen, buck, gourlay or abramovich
and is hiddink going to replace arnesen as hes said for a while he would like that job at chelsea
and if a new manager comes in, will he have to keep the same staff like emelano

{Ed002's Note - None of the people you mention are directly involved in anything other than financial negotiation - and that is in the remit of Gourlay. There is an outside chance that Hiddink will take the Arneson role - at least in part. There would likely be changes to the coaching staff if there was a change of manager/coach. It is impossible to say what would happen to any individuals.}

So ed youre saying that problem with aguero is wages
so is that aguero moaning about wanting super wages
didnt he say he would love to come to us or does he want to ruin his career at that average club
so amadrid would sell but aguero won't cut his wages
do you think we will convince him to lower his wages as he could partener his old teamate and friend torres

{Ed002's Note - To match Aguero's existing wages Chelsea would need to pay a little over £200k per week before tax. It is doubtful that any English side, except possibly Manchester City, would pay that.}

Ed how coud chelsea send kakuta to fulham and not find out if he would get an opportunity
what do chelsea plan to do with kakuta next season and will sturridge stay in the squad next season

{Ed002's Note - There has been no decision over Kakuta yet (certainly none of a couple of weeks ago). Sturridge is expected to return to the squad. Unless he requests a move, I expect him to be at Chelsea next season although I do expect Borini and possibly Kalou to move on.}

Ed how could chelsea send kakuta to fulham and not find out if he would even get an opportunity to play
and what do chelsea plan for him next year
also will sturridge stay next year and not be loaned out

{Ed002's Note - There has been no decision over Kakuta yet (certainly none of a couple of weeks ago). Sturridge is expected to return to the squad. Unless he requests a move, I expect him to be at Chelsea next season although I do expect Borini and possibly Kalou to move on.}

Ed when will you know about the situation with a new manager or not
and when will you know more about our transfer targets and agreements {Ed002's Note - There are on-going discussions and efforts happening to address these issues. Similar discussions are being held at pretty much all clubs looking to compete for transfers of high-profile players. Everyone wants to avoid a bidding war so will be seeking to reach agreements as early as possible. There is no fixed date when this will be clearer. And no announcement will be made about the manager until the season is over across Europe.}

Ed will transfer targets change or be affected if we win or don't win the champions leage
e.g a player decides to come because we won cl
and if we win it, would it make the club change their mind about the players they wanted to sell, which i think would be stupid as you have to look at the player over the whole season
eg malouda who i can't stand and think should be gone
but say he wins the cl for us the club might think they should keep him because of that
eg last year i think that if we dd not win the title, more players would have left and been replaced

{Ed002's Note - No - think of the Juventus team that won the European Cup in 1996 and immediately let go of Ravanelli and Vialli. Clubs cannot afford to be sentimental.}

Ed from what your saying
we could spend 30-40m on aguero
30-40m on neymar
15-20m on vdwiel
thats about 80m there
what are the other positions were interested in
oh and are we still that interested in lukaku as he is not worth the 25m they want
and who do you think we will sell with the most value

{Ed002's Note - I can't get sucked in to too much of this as it will become like fantasy football. Put any thoughts of the fees out of your mind otherwise we will fall in to the "transfer budget" scenario. The club are looking at options - and other clubs are looking at these players as well. This is the best information available at this time but there is also a long way to go.}

Yeah lampard is a cm and who will he be replaced, the pefect like for like replacement would b hamsik
so will mceachran get some more playing time next season
and what is going to happen with benayoun next season

{Ed002's Note - I expect that McEachran will go out on loan for the season to gain experience. I expect Benayoun will either stay as a squad player or move to mainland Europe in the summer. He knows opportunities will be limited.}

But ed where would aguero play if we bought him and neymar, would they play in a three with torres, that's why sanchez would be a betterfit as he is a natural right winger and neymar plays on the left even thoughi love aguero {Ed002's Note - It would provide that as one option with Neymar on the left and Aguero on the right. Both are also able to play behind a front two. Keep in mid it is a squad not just a starting 11.}

So ed this is what we want in the tmarket
striker to replace drogba (aguero, lukaku, pato)
1 or 2 wingers to replace anelka(neymar, sanchez, payet, turan, willian)
Cm(pjanic, badelj, pastore, ganso, hamsik)
Dm to replace mikel(bcinovic, pirlo, mascherano)
Rb to replace bosingwa(vdwiel, srna, hugo mallo)
2nd gk to relace hilario(?)
that right ed

{Ed002's Note - Certainly a number of these players are viable targets and many have been considered by English teams - not just Chelsea. Also, think more closely about the players that will be leaving and don't forget the limitation of having only 17 non homegrown players in the squad. I expect that Hilario will be replaced either by one of the youngsters or by a homegrown player for example. It seems that there is also growing interest from England in Alan Dzagoev (which would remove the likes of Pastore from the equation). Chelsea's interest is well know - but I understand that on April 16 there will be representatives from another English side watching him as well.}

Ed are we going to bid for payet in the summer as french reports say we bid in january {Ed002's Note - It is possible. Sanchez was the number one target for the right but Payet has been seen as a possible option.}

So then ed who would chelsea hope most would come and join us in the summer thanks ed {Ed002's Note - They are looking at a number of options, all pretty well documented, and will be happy with what they can get from that list. Realistically, the side needs a refresh with younger players coming in. Some targets have got close and then their existing club have played up (as in the case of Sanchez) or that they have been potentially priced out of the market (as in Pastore). There is no doubt that Neymar is a leading target as is Van Der Wiel - Aguero would be as well if issues over his wages can be addressed.}
