Hi ED002, has Chelsea shown any interest in Valdes of Valencia? I think he is a great player and will add flare to our game without doubt if brought-in. Thanks, Kenblue. {Ed002's Note - Not that I am aware.}

Anychance us pulling paulinho deal of this jan thanks ed {Ed002's Note - Interest in Paulino remains from Inter Milan, Chelsea and PSG. Although Inter have baulked at the price being asked by Corinthians they did make a proposal that would have resulted in them only taking partial ownership and this was seemingly acceptable to the club but not the player. Subsequently Inter looked also to Belhanda as a possible replacement for Sneijder but chances of that happening are all but gone. A move to CSKA Moscow was also rejected by the player who has declared that he does not want to play in Russia and Fonseca said that the rumours of interest from Manchester City were "dreams of the English press". With a large percentage of his rights held outside the club a move to Italy could be much easier to arrange than a move to England. In the short-term, I would doubt he will leave Corinthians just yet however, there are some talks due to take place in the coming days regarding his future and a possible move sooner rather than later.}

Paulinho will be a very good addition to our team.He is strong&tacticle.Many players we have are very soft, eg Mata, Hazard, Oscar, Marin, Tores, we need strong ones.

Anything to report today ED002? {Ed002's Note - You mean about Paulinho, N'koulou or Isco? Nothing really.}

Believable2 Unbelievable1

Yes ED care to share what you know please?

CFC1905 {Ed002's Note - I don't know if there is anything really to say right now. N'koulou has been looked at. Paulinho I have answered and the situation with Isco remains the same. If Malaga are forced to sell even though they don't want to right now, they have discussed future options on the player with a couple of clubs and I would suspect Chelsea, Juventus and Real Madrid are best placed right now to push a deal through - although Bayern Munich and Manchester City could well make a bid. A move in January is by no means certain and Malaga are looking to have Isco sign a new long-term contract because they do fear a move for the player this month. Malaga wanted 21M euros and are now negotiating an increase in a termination clause to 42M euros, using a pay rise to tempt the player to agree. Regardless of whether he signs a new deal or not Malaga need to raise funds to pay off a debt in March - and he could end up being sold.}

Who is N'koulou if you don't mind me asking? Haven't heard his name on this page before

Devon. {Ed002's Note - He is a centre back who plays for Marseille.}

kevinCFC {Ed002's Note - N'koulou has been looked at, yes.}

Agree0 Disagree0

I heard it was Romain Alessandrini, although I don't know why. any truth in this ed?

Vincent {Ed002's Note - N'koulou has been looked at but perhaps Alessandrini impressed in today's game.}

The player that the ed says will be a likely signing next week, I think its fellaini. last day for 27-28m.

no rumour, just a gut feeling

Believable11 Unbelievable9

Sure you didn't get this from the same place the lads on the Everton page did earlier?

Agree0 Disagree0

Apparently Radameal Falcao is moving this January or in the summer. Rocket from Soccer AM might be having to wear a Chelsea strip for the hairy strikers show as Chelsea are reportedly "making a bid".

Agree0 Disagree0

Worth keeping an eye on Everton signings..they are interested in Capoue apparently and if they sign him then maybe it will happen but probably at a silly price I would think.
S.S. {Ed002's Note - I suspect Toulouse have priced Capoue out of Everton's reach.}

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd say it will be markovic, or schurrle.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed002 confirmed it would be someone other than Markovich the other day.
But Schurrle is a possibilty I agree.

Agree0 Disagree0

Id love it to be schurrel great player

kevinCFC

Agree0 Disagree0

He is but not a prolific goalscorer as yet, however he can play in several positions, a bit like the much maligned Kalou.

Agree0 Disagree0

Thanks Ed 002 that's a shame are they looking at any other similar players do you know?
S.S. {Ed002's Note - You should try the Everton pages.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed002 Yes I had a look at the site a few days ago which is where the Capoue idea came from.
Also noticed someone said Fellaini is on his way to Chelsea though!

Dear eds, are you still expecting to see CFC bringing in one or two more players -- before the end of the transfer window-- who would immediately be in the first team squad (ie not kids or bought and loaned out)?

Like most on here, I think our squad looks thin compared to many of our rivals even allowing for our two players away at AFCON and clearly we must make top four if we are to keep attracting/retaining top players -- yes, and of course we want ECL soccer at Stamford Bridge next season. VBS {Ed002's Note - All of the players are "squad" players but it remains likely that someone will arrive in the next week.}

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Like how many player are we likely to get pls? {Ed002's Note - See previous answers please.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Thanks for response ed 002, much appreciated -- will indeed be good for squad and fans alike if useful addition is made next week! VBS

Ed002 I have no real idea how the transfer process works when it gets down to the last few days of a window.
I guess we have sounded out certain players and clubs but surely we will have registered an offer or two by now?
Or is it really a game of poker down to the last few hours and days?
Seems a very odd way of running a business for both sides I would have thought.
Thanks
S.S. {Ed002's Note - The club has a number of specific targets and will not buy for the sake of it. In the past managers have been placated with the occasional "buy" - Meireles comes to mind, and perhaps Ba. Sometimes a selling club will look to drag a deal out to make sure they have a replacement of to get the best price. As you say - not ideal.}

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Rd002 Interested in what you say generally but in particular about 'placating' a manager by purchasing the odd player.
Would you say Jose was the last manager who was allowed to significantly influence the structure of the squad?
It certainly seems that way from the outside and one downside of our managerial merry go round I would have thought.

{Ed002's Note - Mourinho had more influence that the subsequent managers.}

Ed002, Was just wondering if the reports were true that Chelsea are looking to sign Victor Wanyama from Celtic? I heard it may be a done deal. I have also heard that Chelsea are willing to bid £25.3m for Iker Muniain? Is there any truth in this? Finally I wondered if you could clear up the Fellaini situation? Personally I think he is the sort of player we need in midfield - someone who can win the battle. We don't look as strong as we once did.

Cheers

Melbourne CFC {Ed002's Note - I am not aware of interest in Wanyama or Munian but Muniain was touted around the clubs on behalf of Bilbao last January - and the two clubs in England that were approached were Chelsea and Manchester United. The asking price was 40M euros which is related to the buy-out clause that exists for Iberian clubs. They won't get it because I don't think clubs would risk half of that on a player who is young and has had some off field issues. If the price comes down to a reasonable level (20M euros might be an acceptable figure) I can see interest from several English clubs including Manchester United. Lyon, Bayern Munich, Napoli and Roma have sustained interest which is still there but I could not see a cash deal involving Lyon as possible at this time. Rumours abound of Juventus and Palermo interest. It was thought an eventual move to Barcelona would happen, although his performances this season have not been good at all and his temper has gotten the better of him again on more than one occasion. Fellaini would likely be of interest if he were available.}

Not me Ffs. I have been putting my e-mail field on every post but alas to no avail. Once again will not be using the site for a while, due to the sad f*cks that seem to get kicks out of this. In future Ed002, please don't post anything by Melbourne CFC, unless, like with this post, the e-mail field is correct.

I realise you guys are flat out, and it can easily slip your mind, so please don't take this as a go at you.

Hello Ed, Fellow Blues fans.

Ed couple of questions has usual.

1) A Few reports suggesting we may be back in for Cavani i'm aware of some recent talks I was wondering if you have heard anything regarding a possible move or is it now set in stone he will stay put until at least the summer.

2)Any interest towards Micah Richards from man city ?

3)Are we still trying to push through a deal for Isco this month to secure his services before man city or Bayern Munich get there claws on him, if so do you feel has though an agreement can be reached ?

4)Any new developments regarding Markovic over the last 48 hours ?

5)Have we been approached buy anyone to see if they can get Marin on loan off of us. ?

6)Seeing has your a man in the know, I was wondering if you are aware of this supposed buyout clause that Suarez has of 40mil is this true or false, if it is true have we not shown any interest in him seeing has cash we have offered for both Falcao and Cavani seem to be more then that though I may be wrong.

7)Any interest in Jovetic anymore or do other targets take precedent.

8)What the latest regarding Courtois ?

9)Do you have any Snippets of worthwhile news regarding any goings on at Chelsea.

Has Usual thank you for you time much appreciated.

BlueBen {Ed002's Note - (1) Chelsea maintain an interest in Cavani. (2) Chelsea have no interest in another right back having signed one in teh summer and one in this window. (3) Chelsea maintain an interest in Isco. (4) No. (5) Nobody has approach Chelsea but there have been a number of approaches to his agent. (6) Too much is made of "buy-out" clauses. (7) None at this time - but he is attracting interest from elsewhere. (8) There is no "latest". (9) No.}
