Guarin doesn't want to leave Inter. Chelsea will have to get Matic.

Believable9 Unbelievable2

He is hardly going to say he wants to leave.
Inter want the cash so he is still the most likely signing.
Static is vastly overrated and the fee required ludicrous.

Agree0 Disagree0

That would be great!

Why do we want another attacking midfielder. Guarin's powerful but not in the positions we need he is also meant to be average at most.

Matic is exactly the player we need.

hob308 Matic isn't overated he's exactly what we need but I agree the fee is overexcessive to say the least.

Agree0 Disagree0

To make 4231 work the two need to be dynamic box to box players like Essien in his pomp.
Static is no quicker than Mikel and only marginally better.

Agree0 Disagree0

1. It's Matic. Not Static.
2. Matic qualifies as Home Grown. Pretty decent performer.

Hi ed.

Just wondering whether we have dropped our interest in Yilmaz or whether Galatasaray simply don't wish to sell in January.

Thanks.

{Ed002's Note - I think interest has moved on.}

Ok thanks Ed.

Merry Christmas Ed002, do you know anything of the €15m deal with Benfica for Lazar Markovic, loaning him back for 2 seasons?

Cheers

Believable2 Unbelievable1

{Ed002's Note - It is not quite as simple as that but I can confirm that Chelsea are part owners of the player.}

Cheers Ed, I read something at the time about part ownership and obviously it's in the press again. He certainly looks a good prospect.

Hi Ed. Could you please clear up for me the rules on Premier league teams having part ownership of players? I always thought this was not allowed, but this was only something I became aware of after the Tevez and Mascherano affair at West Ham. Was that a different situation, or have the rules changed? Thanks

{Ed002's Note - Players with part ownership may not play in the EPL. Teams can still part own players who play in certain other countries.}

Every time I have watched a Wolfsburg game, the pundits say Chelsea are watching Ricardo Rodriguez. Is he actually of any interest to Chelsea?

Believable0 Unbelievable2

{Ed002's Note - I don't see Ricardo Rodriguez moving in January although both Milan and Napoli are interested. It is fair to say Chelsea and Manchester United took a look at the player but for now it has ended there.}

Hi Ed, cheers for the list you provided a couple of days back, very interesting. Just wondering if we could add Rodriguez from Wolfsburg onto the list of left backs we're interested in? Seems to be having a great year. Have a good Christmas mate.
