Chelsea are poised to sign Dutch youngster Nathan Ake from Feyenoord after agreeing a deal with the Eredivisie club.

The 15-year-old is one of Europe's most exciting talents and was also being reportedly monitored by Manchester United, Arsenal and Manchester City.
However, it seems that Chelsea will be acquiring their youngster's signature as he has his heart set on a move to the Stamford Bridge outfit.

Feyenoord manager Leo Beenhakker is less than impressed with the transfer tactics of Premier League clubs and claims only teams in England would behave in such a manner.

"I've discussed this matter with Nathan and his parents. He told me that he really wanted to move Chelsea and his parents were OK with his decision, " said Beenhakker to Algemeen Dagblad.

ED iv Found this on sky sports have you seen him play and do you think he will sign ? {ed's note - never seen him play, but it seems the right people have at Chelsea as it is almost certain he will join.}

Hey Ed, do you think Carlo is interested in bringing a defensive midfielder or an attacking midfielder (playmaker) to aid his midfield? {ed's note - he is interested in both, but his main priority is the defensive midfield, I believe.}
Anyone in particular?

{Editor's Note: I disagree slightly with the other Ed - I personally doubt that a defensive midfielder will be sought in January.}

Why both def and attacking midfielder. We already have many defensive midfielders in Ramires and Mikel and Essien could always shift there. We really need a play maker though so that should be priority. Signing both an attacking and defensive midfielder might push back the development of Mceachran as well. Your thoughts Ed? {ed's note - none of those players are defensive midfielders, Mikel is being forced to play there, completely out of position, but Ramires etc are not defensive at all.}

So Ed, do you know which player(s) Carlo has in mind for that position?

Hey Ed, is Javier Pastore a possible target for Chelsea in the summer considering his outragoues price tag?

But Ed, the price seems as if it will remain high. Specifically at around 35m. Do you think Chelsea will match that or offer a player(s) plus cash deal to get him? {ed's note - it is very unlikely.}

I read on ebsite today that Chellsea have agreed personal terms with Fabio Contraeu. I thought the players club must accept a bid before granting permission to speak with the player? ?
We don't even need him either! 20m on a reserve LB?!

Dinamo Zagreb vice-president Zdravko Mamic claims Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti has told him of his hopes to land Tottenham's Luka Modric.

Mamic is a close friend of Spurs' Croatian playmaker and helped to engineer his £16.5million switch to White Hart Lane in 2008.

He claims Modric could soon be on the move again, with Chelsea monitoring his situation closely.

Mamic claims that Ancelotti recently admitted to him that he is a big admirer of the talented 25-year-old, who has matured into a top Premier League performer since overcoming a slow start to his career in England.

With that in mind, Chelsea have placed Modric at the top of their summer shopping list and Ancelotti is prepared to wait until the end of the season before making an approach.

"I was with Ancelotti for lunch. I was very proud when I heard what he said about Modric, " Mamic told The Sun.

"Luka is top of his list, his first pick when it comes to new signings.

"I'm not Modric's agent, I am just his friend, but I am very proud.

"I don't want to say anything more because I don't want to upset my friends at Tottenham."

Hey Ed, there must be something in this. The Zagreb president will not lie about such a thing and I have to say I am pleased with Chelsea being interested in signing Modric. This has to be more realistic than Chelsea having an interest in Pastore.

{Editor's Note: It was not the Zagreb president who reported it, just that he was reported as saying it. Simple statements often get abused between their publication by an Eastern European writer in Serbo-Croat and there translation in to English. Don't hold your breath over it.}
