Ed why is it when asked about a manager you always say ( we have a manager and you don't want to talk about it)
What is the difference in talking about a manager coming in and a player coming in.
It is obvious chelsea are looking to sign a striker maybe falcao, you don't say cfc have a striker I don't want to talk about it ie Torres.
But when it comes to managers you shy away from it
I believe this is a transfer rumours site and I believe Chelsea's next manager will be the most important signing next year. Most people on hear would agree I imagine
Could you please explain the difference in why you don't want to talk about it
Thanks gareth1973 {Ed002's Note - I have explained the manager will be leaving in June and a new one coming in.}

When there is anything concrete to report I am sure the eds will let us know.
However if people continue to criticise them for giving us info they don't have then they will stop responding.

Hi ed,

Can you explain to me please what the problem is with re-developing Stamford Bridge? It's never really been explained to me. My best guess is that the foundations just won't support it or it isn't financially prudent. Please explain, it will be much appereciated.

alessandro {Ed002's Note - It is two things, the height of the building and egress.}

Believable3 Unbelievable0

The site is surrounded on two sides by railway lines and on another by the Fulham Road. That means that the site is what it is and can't be extended outwards. The council have said that any development can only go up to a certain height and so taller, higher pitched stands are also not an option. The problem of getting another 20,000 people off of the site in an emergency is also a problem that the council don't like the proposed solution to.

So, Fulham Council bleat on about not wanting the club to leave the area, but block any realistic proposals to allow them to stay.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hi eds. why is height an issue, there are plenty of tall buildings in London? (Probably a simplistic view I know) what's egress? Steepness of the stand or getting people out quickly? Are the council serious in helping us out here? Would sponsorship of stands help with some if the expensive development costs of the bridge? {Ed002's Note - I am not going to try and explain the planning process nor planning regulations, but the ground is in an area of London where they have to consider the local residents etc.. Egress is the ability to move people from the area in the case of an emergency.}

Agree0 Disagree0

The official cfc website had an article a while back, where they explain all the reasons for why it cannot happen. Probably 12 months ago

Have Chelsea agreed a deal with youngster Christian Cuevas? {Ed002's Note - Chelsea has had an offer accepted for Cuevas of just under $2.7M which Udinese did not want to match.}

ED is Joachim Loew a potential candidate for the Chelsea manager's job it's been reported he and Roman may be good friends? {Ed002's Note - Loew is not available. He is Madrid's first choice but will be busy until after the 2014 world cup.}

Do you think there's a possibility of Deulofeu's camp rejecting Barca's contract renewal offer and thus be sold? {Ed002's Note - His "camp"?}

Believable2 Unbelievable1

Deulofeu's camp? What he's like in his own time is hs business and if that means he's a little effeminate, then so be it.

Ed002 Do we have an interest in Sanchez from Barca?
Thanks
S. S. {Ed002's Note - Sanchez will be moving this summer but it won't be to Chelsea.}

To Juventus yes? {Ed002's Note - He is one of three players Juventus has identified as being a possibility to play off Llorente. There is a potential twist that could see him end up elsewhere.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Any idea where he could be headed? {Ed002's Note - See above.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Why are Barcelona letting him go? {Ed002's Note - Players are simply transient employees of a club - if they wish to improve their squad players such as Villa and Sanchez will be making way. The same will happen in Madrid with Higuain and others moving on this summer.}

Agree0 Disagree0

14 Feb 2013 15:41:58
So Neymar and Deulofeu will replace Villa and Sanchez? or are Barca intending to buy another winger besides Neymar and not promote Deulofeu just yet? {Ed002's Note - You need take all of this to the Barcelona page.}

Ed002 rumours seem to be re surfacing about Barca's interest in Luiz. It makes perfect sense as his style of play is absolutely suited to them.
Is this a genuine interest and would Chelsea listen to offers?
Thanks
S. S. {Ed002's Note - Barcelona may well be interested in Luiz but they have made no approach to Chelsea either during discussions over other matters in January (which would have been the time to raise it) nor, as I understand it, since.}

Believable2 Unbelievable1

Thanks for that Ed002.
Can you say what the discussions were about?
Thanks
S. S. {Ed002's Note - It is unimportant in respect of Luiz.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes I understand that Ed002 but wondered what the discussions were about?
Thanks
S. S. {Ed002's Note - It is unimportant at this time.}

The discussions were about Courtois and Deulofeu yes? {Ed002's Note - In part, but it is irrelevant.}

Ed002 have Barca turned their attention away from Courtois? Were they told he is not for sale?

Cheers

Melbourne CFC {Ed002's Note - Yes, they will look to complete a deal for ter Stegen in the summer.}

Believable3 Unbelievable0

Does this mean that Chelsea will look to Courtois as no. 1 next season, or are the club still unsure what will happen with the player? I appreciate the summer is a long way off, just think that one of Cech or Courtois will be sold, so wondering if you have been given any further indication as to who that will be.

Cheers

Melbourne CFC {Ed002's Note - The summer is a long way off but right now I would not expect Cech to be sold this summer.}

Agree0 Disagree0

And do you expect Courtois to still be a Chelsea player come the summer? Appreciate this is your opinion and not being passed off as fact. Thanks mate

Melbourne CFC {Ed002's Note - Chelsea do not want to sell Courtois as was shown when Barcelona has enquired on a couple of occasions.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed002 Does that mean you would not expect Courtois to be included in any deal for Falcao?
Assuming he will be going on loan again have you any idea where that will be?
Thank
S. S. {Ed002's Note - I have already explained that the newspaper article was not reflecting the offer that has been made, and have explained that Chelsea would like to wrap up a deal for Falcao as early as possible - knowing that there is interest from elsewhere and if a deal can be done. I am interested in speculating where players will be on loan next season when any such decisions are a long way off.}

Looks like Real Madrid will sell either of Higuian or Benzema in the summer to free up space for either of Falcao, Cavani or Suarez. We might be bidding for Higuian. My preference though will be Cavani.
BB {Ed002's Note - Higuain will very likely leave and their target is Cavani.}

Believable1 Unbelievable2

14 Feb 2013 10:44:54
So it will be a case of either Higuain or Falcao for us, but definitely not Cavani? I really don't think Falcao will be good business for us.
BB. {Ed002's Note - You seem to be making broad unfounded statements and then drawing conclusions too easily. I think there is every chance that Higuain will move to PSG. There is also interest in Cavani from clubs other than Real Madrid and Napoli are very difficult to negotiate with.}
