ED002 Terry Jogging and was back on the bench last night a few day's after surgery folk seem to think he did not have a operation what do you know of this? {Ed002's Note - He would not have been able to play last night. He was there for a show on consolidation due to some of the incorrect press reports and the generally poor show. There is no conspiracy.}

How long have you had an interest in chelsea ED did you follow them as a youngster or since the Roman era? {Ed002's Note - I came to England in 1981 to do a Masters degree in London and my first/third wife, eldest daughter and I were living close to the ground.}

i'm a liverpool fan and what i saw from torres vs birmingham was terrible. i watched all of the 82 goals in 142 appearances for liverpool and they were all by headers, outside of the box sublime shots and taking the defenders on and scoring. he will need to improve jurastically if he is gonna be what he was in a red shirt {Ed002's Note - Jurastically eh - you mean become more dinosaur like?}

You come here to give your opinion on Torres, yet I'm sure he could spell the word Drastically. hmmm

Idiots like you can never be satisified
whats worse a £35 mil flop who is getting back to form or a £50 mil flop who played terribly against a championship side. zigic was better than him

Ed, Rafa Benetez said, 'there was no real offer' from Chelsea to be interim manager.
Does this mean the was an informal was on the table?
Please don't tell me Abramovich is considering him for the job?
Thanks
Made In Chelsea {Ed002's Note - There was no offer made at all. A third party enquired with a number of available people if they would be interested in an intereim vacancy should it become available. Nothing more and it is all completely irrelevant now.}

Yeah no mistakes and a couple of decent runs. He should be challenging A.Cole for a first team place

Bertrand is the one kid who Chelsea can afford to play as he's the most ready! If Cole wasn't so good he would probably be playing!

I think the second half perfomance at Birmingham shows that AVB's idea of developing new players and leaving the older ones out. Lets face Lampard is getting old and even he is playing decently he won't be around forever and Chelsea need to replace these players if they are still going to compete at the top level. However after seeing the performances of young players like Bertrand and the team as a whole yesterday I am excited for the Napoli game and the race for 4th spot, as Chelsea if they perform like this will do well.

Reports saying that Mata offerd the ball to torres for the pen and torres said no he didn't wanna take it! I've defended him always but I think if that's true he should be sacked! So basically we got a striker that doesn't want to shoot

I think this is bulls**t. On the other hand - do you imagine the reaction of the media and the fans, and the haters nad whomever around, if he happened to miss a penalty, just as Mata did? What kind of confidence boost would have that been. I bet all of you would have put the last dot on his career at Chelsea.
Agree3

A penalty isn't the way for him to break his goal drought, imagine the criticism and pressure if he missed it would double the grief he is getting now.
FT9

And if mata has been given the role by the coaching staff then he should take them, remember lamps taking a pen a few seasons ago even though drogba was in race for golden boot?
Agree6

Agree with the last 2 posts. Mata was the designated pen taker and Torres was right to turn it down. And it ain't bs the replays clearly showed mata offering it to torres, trying too be helpful as a teamate {Ed002's Note - Typically the players agree before the game who will take the penalties.}

Why do the eds and other people on here try to defend Torres all the time but have a go at kalou?? I bet if kalou had same amount of games as Torres this year he would have scored more! Then again if Harry Redknapp was are manager he probably would have told him that his missis would have scored more! It's nothing to do with service, so your telling me grant holt at Norwich gets better service than Torres?? Stop be bias my chelsea !! CFC 4 life {Ed001's Note - probably because Kalou has no ability, whereas Torres does.}

Totally agree with Ed01, If Torres got the chances like the ones he creates he wouldn't have this problem. Everybody expects him to get the ball 30 yards out and take it past 3 players then slot it into the net, sorry but this doesn't happen when your low on confidence, hence the reason he needs chances like the ones he creates.
FT9 {Ed001's Note - Torres' does have an issue with confidence, he is also lacking one of the main weapons in his armoury: acceleration. He will have to change his game to suit, that takes time. I do doubt he will ever be the player he was though, he will never be a £50m player, but he is still better than Kalou!}
Agree2

Sorry Ed01 I have to disagree with you there, I do think he is low on confidence otherwise why didn't he take the penalty last night. And I do think he is still a 30+ goal a season striker.

2 completely different players, torres wont start scoring till we get a 2 new wingers and mata behind torres

I think with Torres it is a lack of confidence in front of goal that is affecting his performance.Look at him in the game against Man u, earlier this year ,he was outstanding .Even though he missed an open goal he played with pace and guile. Now, while his play outside the penalty area is good ,inside the penalty area he looks laborious and ponderous.This is only because he has lost confidence in himself .I am sure if he gets at least one goal ,he will be back.Based on his performances for Athletico,Liverpool and Spain ,we were right to spend 50 million on him,but sadly it has not clicked till now.The guy has not lost it,we just need to create enough chances to ensure that he gets the goals he needs to restore his confidence.At his best ,he is by far the best striker in the world and the only one who comes close to him is Drogba.We have two of the best strikers ever ,the only thing we need to do is to create enough chances for them to score.
We will win against Napoli and finish 3rd in the league.

I'm just wondering whether John terry was injured after all.You very rarely see a player come back from injury a month early.After all terry was not a fan of the high line AVB wanted to play and as captain he has always had input.Maybe said one to many words to AVB and paid the price. {Ed002's Note - Or maybe serving a secret ban?}
