Jackson . you are like a gliding eagle high in the sky.
you have a view on everything, do you hold coaching badges?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

He's keeping this page alive, you can see the progress, it's being revived. Fair play to all of us :-P

Agree0 Disagree0

Jackson, Jackson, Jackson. :'). They grow up so fast.

In other news, we are about to go for Messi. In what would be the deal of the century. Personally don't see it happening, so here is my question if we could get one of this deals which would you guys opt for and why?

WARNING: THE PRICE QUOTED IN THIS DEALS ARE IN NO WAY ANYTHING OTHER THAN FIGURES SPECULATED AS SUCH EDS OR ELI SHOULD NOT BE BLAMED OR DISSED IN ANY FORM WHAT SO EVER :)

Messi 200mil
Reus 22mil
Bale 85mil
Talisca 30mil
Sterling 35mil
Ronaldo 35mil

Just for fun guys see where peoples heads at, can't wait to see your views.

Ridiculous ELI! Ronaldo only 35 million?!? You are a silly guy!

In all seriousness, I'd take Ronaldo for them prices. But say that ronaldo was 70 million (more realistic), i'd go for sterling, English, potential, great player, as well as weakening another team in league in the process :)

Bale would be lovely as well :P

Agree0 Disagree0

For those prices, Reus all the way! And apparently there's some journalist in Argentina who's supposedly pretty damn reliable and he's said Messi is indeed looking to leave and Chelsea is definitely an option. I don't see it happening myself TBH but you never know.

To the original poster, that's a nice description to me. 'A gliding eagle', I like it. And no I don't hold coaching badges, don't think I ever will. I've got enough work as it is with my studies at university. But I like to believe I know something (admittedly very little in all probability) about football. So if you disagree with me on anything that's fine. And please don't think I don't notice sarcasm when I read it :)
Thanks boys!

Messi or ronaldo all day but it would definatelly upset hazard which is world beater in the making. So I would go for reus as he is something special

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - personally I would agree with you, Reus would be the best choice. Messi and Ronaldo are at their peak, so you would pay a premium and both come with baggage. Reus is still improving and would have a lot more years, plus his game should be perfectly suited to English football. If not, he would have time to evolve to suit the game. Bale has improved beyond all recognition in recent years, he works extremely hard at his game but, and it is a big but, he spends far too much time out injured. If he was cheap, it would be worth it, but at the cost it would be, I just don't see the value in it for Chelsea running to a budget.}

Rues is way too god like! But like bale, he seems injury prone.

Messi would be amazing, but he's an person. Don't like him at all.

Ronaldo, who is an absolute extraordinary player, is also an person. But like I said, best winger in the world, and will make us a much bigger club (income and popularity wise) than rues ever would.

So yeah, sterling or rues (injuries are a worry)

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - I was thinking Reus's injuries would be less of a financial burden due to the lower cost, hence why I never mentioned them, by the way. With lower wages, signing fee and purchase price, you can afford a player to miss games more easily than one who is top dollar in all those 3 aspects.}

Well, someone pointed out that before his big injury last year Reus missed only 6 games due to injury or due to being ill in his entire career.
And the injuries he's had since then probably are caused in some part by Dortmund rushing him back. And the injury he suffered now obviously has nothing to do with being injury prone as it was a horrendous tackle.

So I wouldn't call him injury prone just yet. Maybe if he took the proper time to recover he'd see the pitch more often.

Fair points 001

Let's hope Madrid can't get him, if they do, I hope for us to get Isco, he's the odd one out of ronaldo, bale, and Rod.

He's spanish though, so not sure if they'd be willing to sell

Agree0 Disagree0

Well thanks for the replies you too Ed001 mate, but really Ronaldo turns 30 next year any team that pays more than 35mil or there abouts for him is sick and don't forget that's without his wages. That was my thinking though but good point across and I agree with Ed001 and LRDlt Reus all the way.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - I wouldn't hold your breath.}

But ELI, it's Ronaldo? :-P

Agree0 Disagree0

Reus would be first choice due to price/age/potential.
Bale I'd pass on for a couple years 'til he's shown he can get past his constant injuries.
Ronaldo is almost 30 now, and given his price + wages, I'm not sure would be worth it.
Talisca, I'm not sure he's worth 30m yet. I'd give him a year or two more development before he'd be worth that amount.
Sterling, I'm undecided about. He clearly has potential and he's English but he'd need to show more consistency before I'd bid for him.
And finally Messi. On the one hand I'd love him as he's such a great talent but his price + wages will be astronomical. Not sure he'd necessarily hinder Hazard but it'd definitely spell the end of Oscar's career at Chelsea. Not to mention for 200m plus his wages we could likely bring in Varane, Pogba + Striker and probably Reus/Sterling.

I still think that bringing Willian and selling DeBruyne was mistake. Willian didn't bring anything that DeBruyne couldn't do.That's probably one of the worse decisions made from Mourinho.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

He brings energetic pressing and harrassing of the opposition when they have the ball, something I haven't seen KDB do with consistency.
It's true that offensively perhaps KDB is a bigger threat, but I think Willian is also better at keeping the ball under pressure.
They both have their advantages, and I wouldn't call it a mistake. De Bruyne wanted to play, and I'm proud that the club I support respects the wishes of the players.

Agree0 Disagree0

Worst decision made by mourinho? You been watching Chelsea right? Completely different players with completely different attributes! De bruyne couldn't do defensively what Willian can do as all the other squad players do, he is getting better each game & a joy to watch, I see de bruyne as a number 10 & I really don't think he would come anywhere near Oscar or fabregas

Agree0 Disagree0

Mate there is 15 000 000£ difference plus much higher wages that Willian is receiving.
But what's done is done, at least we had much better summer transfer window.

De Bruyne was moved on for the same reason Mata was, he didn't defend the way Mourinho wanted him too and fit into the style of play that Mourinho was implementing. Willian is getting better game by game and it is promising to see. He has established himself on the right side of Chelsea's attack and I hope he continues to play consistently like he is right now.

Agree0 Disagree0

Mn, I swear you're curt.

Agree0 Disagree0

Lol at Aron's comment, Curt is back.

Agree0 Disagree0

In reply to original question though, I was a massive fan of Kevin De Bruyne, and was upset when he left.

He played a great game against Everton this morning and i'd hate to see him playing for Liverpool or someone like that.

He wasn't ready to play for us, if Possible, I hope that we have a certain buy back clause in his contract. He'll be a star.

Agree0 Disagree0

Mn is chn who was tchn at some point in his spell on the site who we all thought could have been curt. Who is complaining though the site is looking good again. The more the merrier I say.

If it is curt, he should just say, we're not exactly going to take your veiws lesser, I enjoyed your posts tbh

Agree0 Disagree0

Different views spark conversation and debate. And as ELI said that can only be a good thing.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - obviously only so long as they agree with me! ;)

28 Nov 2014 08:10:46
De bruyne and mata both are creative players that are better than willian and oscar but our playerd defend better and are more energetic

Agree0 Disagree0

Well Ed001, that goes without saying :) disagreeing with you means your opinion doesn't count haha

Agree0 Disagree0

I still think De Bruyne is still a bit raw. In the end he didn't want to defend and so he was shipped out. Willian is a workhorse and his attacking abilities are finally coming to the fore. I think last season he was still settling in and was more focused on defending.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - That was not the reason De Bruyne left.}

Sorry Ed, it was poorly worded. I assume he left because he wasn't getting enough playing time?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - No, it was a commitment issue.}

Ed002 thanks for your comment.

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't know who is or was Curt or Pnkey or anyone else.
Chelsea supporters are not a heard everybody has right to have different opinion about various subjects.

Even though I have supported Chelsea for a long time coming, I have never loved watching Chelsea play and remain optimistic that we will create chances and take them even when we go behind. hope Jose stays for a long time and give the team that desires stability and platform where we just move out a player and replace with another without affecting the structure of the team.this is the secret of Barcelona, Bayern Munich etc.If anyone knows Willian, please tell himto give Diego Costa the ball anytime He makes a run else He will RIP his head off. hope we loan salah till atleast the end of season to gain some game time and see how it goes with him rather than sell him. thanks eds for your info.
