I agree, he looks good. One more year on loan if it was in a decent league wouldn't be so bad though, assuming he had a regular start.

David Luiz seems a very stubborn chap for me, and very argumentative too. He would disagree with everybody ranging from Didier, Terry to Lampard, etc. The irony is he is very easily liked by everyone and the Managers. Personally the Geezer is my favourite player and I can't explain why.

Hes passionate, never seen him cause any problems personally with any of the playing staff or coaches.

I'd like to know everyone's opinion about this. I know that we are constantly linked with Falcao and Cavani, but personally my preferred choice for striker would be Lewandowski. Think he's a class act. Thoughts?
Out of those 3 I'd prefer Lewandowski as well, in large part due to his age and probable lower price

Neither Cavani nor Falcao is worth those amounts being quoted. It'll be crazy to pay above 35m pounds for either of them.
Well there are other strikers than those 3, like aubameyang or higuain or whoever. So I'm sure we'll be fine

I would have to agree I think there are as good players who we could get for a lot less.
Azpilicueta is a prime example, not a big name decent price but top quality.
Aubameyang, Ba and Lukaku is a very good 3 striker rotation.
Also the possible addition of Schurrle who can play center forward as well.
Those three mentioned are not Chelsea quality. Lukaku will be world class at some point but not next season. If u want to continue competing for a top 4 spot then that's the way to go.
Lukakau will never be world class.
He'll be a very very good premier league player but never world class.

Personally out of the likely strikers that will be available/moving, I'd want Higuain.
Ed018 do you think it likely it Herndandez or Rooney will leave then? I know Hernandez has been looked at by some clubs. Thanks {Ed018's Note - certainly a forward will leave if they bring one in. I know there has been speculation about both of them possibly leaving but I don't know anything for sure}

I am sorry but I really cannot see Ramires as the new captain, always seems shy and a little timid on the pitch, wouldn't have the influential voice. For me, I feel Cahill or Luiz.

Wow. Azpi has been here for a year and you think he should be captain? Imo, I would choose from Luiz, Mata or Ashley Cole. Maybe Cahill because he seems like a clone of Terry. Big, strong and influential.
Maybe timid was the wrong word. I know he doesn't speak the best english, he's a very quiet figure on the pitch and the training ground as most of the team have stated. he's a great player, but not captain material just yet.

Do you think it may be something that could perhaps be offered to Luiz to keep him committed to the club? Just a thought, because any players head would be turned by Madrid or Barca etc, but Luiz seems to be blue through and through right now, captaincy could keep him here?

I also think Azpi would be a decent shout, David Luiz will probably be next captain, but Cesar does seem to be very vocal and reliable!
Eventually it should be someone prompted from youth, like chalobah, Ake or loftus cheek.

In 3yrs timr, Azpi could be captain. Very vocal and a leader.
I would say that Ramires is timid. Not in his play but as a person.
