its always nice to see your best striker out on loan doing so well while your struggling! wot is it with this club! I wouldn't be at all suprised if we got falcao and loaned him to spurs! people who decide wot players stay and wot players go need sacking! haven't got a salomon kalou (clue)

What happened to the David Villa promise?

Old Kevin's gone quiet again

Coming on when playing away when the opposition is one down is a different proposition from being all sqaure at home. Last night he had space and a defence pushing forward
Lukaka was put out on loan to gain experience and that's what he is getting.
He is strong powerful and very young and on a long contract at Chelsea.
I recall one D. Sturridge looking world class when on loan at Bolton yet when he came back he looked anything but.

We don't play a 4 4 2 so if say we get Falcao its hard to see how you could justify Torres, Ba, Lukaka and Falcao being at the club. Ok Torres may be allowed to go so you will be left with three but how much game time would Lukaka get? don't forget Ba has scored more goals this season than Lukaka.
If we don't get Falcao/ Cavani then I would call back Lukaka, let Torres go and see what happens with Furez being the 3rd choice striker
Terraloon

Agree1 Disagree3

Sturridge was by far world class at Bolton. He scored a lot of tap ins. He looked no better than a lot of other strikers in average teams,

Agree3 Disagree1

Perhaps I should of said after he scored a few goals he though he was world class!

Terraloon

Agree2 Disagree2

The original poster was refering to Kukaku not sturridge!

Agree1 Disagree1

LOL terraloon know's the OP was about Lukaku. It's called a comparison. What Terraloon was trying to infer was the fact that, just because Lukaku is doing well on loan doesn't mean he will do well at Chelsea. Sturridge did well at Bolton but didtn't cut it here.

Heard from a friend at work today who supports Everton that Fellaini's father and agent has said that Real Madrid will sign his son in the summer transfer market. Scott M.

Who cares? Do you really see Fellaini fitting in well at our team at the ridiculous fee he would command? Mate, there's more value for money out there. just the right man in charge to identify that and sort it out.
BB.

Agree4 Disagree0

I agree I think Fernando of Porto would be a much better fit.

CfcBenWxm

Fellaini is a terrible defencive mid. i'm with ben I like the hard tackling fernando. BLUEBOY1

Agree3 Disagree1

Romeuo for next season.
De Bruyne look more and more impressive for a more attacking role as well. scored at the weekend, hit the post and set one up.

Agree2 Disagree1

De bruyne is a class act. He can play either wing or in a 3 man midfield. Which is how we should go back and play. After the week end of football is over on a Sunday I just scout all our players out on loan, and watch them. Not just if they score, but work rate, movement, and team benefits from a certain player. De bruyne and chalobah have been very good. Mceachran has been until beginning of January, but he's starting to wear out and is very tired, he's played pretty much all league games for boro. Showing his age, championship is a long season games every four days pretty much. Van anholt is looking very good, and kakuta is lookin like the promising player he was 2 years ago. Plus theirs lukaku scoring, courtios doing well. Kalas been playing right back but dipped a bit of form. Onerou at afcon. I'm well hyped. For some of our players out on loan. BLUEBOY1

Agree3 Disagree1

No player, apart from a goalkeeper can be justified for not scoring goals. That is unless you are named Claude Makelele. Therefor saying that Fellaini is terrible, while Fernando is "great" is just complete tosh. Mikel is big and tough tackling and what?. Fellaini, Vidal, Yaya, Xabi Alonso, these are the types of players we should be targeting and not another "tough tackling" player for our midfield.

JG

Agree1 Disagree2

Only saying what I heard and Chelsea were rumoured to be interested in him. Scott M.

Agree0 Disagree0

Makellele scored more than Mikel. Do you remember the half volley for spurs I think? Ooo and the penalty rebound towards of season when we wrapped up the league haha. BLUEBOY1

Agree0 Disagree0

Maka scored two and not the goals, but the celebrations were what mattered. I can't remember anyone so unspectacular, but at the same time so adored by the teammates and fans like Claude. He was immense.

And on the other side of the stick is Mikel, who does not score, nor is he good defensively. But frankly Fernando is not an upgrade. Or at least not significant. So my point is we should not try to fine tune the position. We can either upgrade it seriously or just stick with what we have.

Lukaku came on in the 74th minute for west brom and secured the win for them in the 90th minute to make it 2-0 against Liverpool.

he looked very dangerous, and took on 2/3 players before his goal but dragged it wide, but still it looked promising

cant wait to see him in a chelse shirt

10 league goals so far this season

Lukaku seems ready for next season. He deserves a chance at least from d bench and starting some games. Far better that Mario the overpaid penalty taker imo.
BB

Believable5 Unbelievable1

I wouldn't say he is better than Mario, he is doing really good in serie a.

I'm looking forward to seeing how Mikel plays alongside David Luiz in the midfield. If Luiz continues to play in a disciplined manor then Mikel may be able to influence games a little more; hopefully in the manor he has been doing so for Nigeria.

Mikel has been so frustrating because its apparent that there is a good player in there somewhere, he's comfortable on the ball and now and again looks a world class passer. He has all the physical attributes to play in a similar style to Fellaini but just let's himself down with lazy performances and some negative play. Having a more defensive minded player alongside him my make it easier for him to be more positive with his play and influence games.

Looking to the future both him and Luiz in a midfield three with a player like Oscar could be very productive.

When playing for nigeria the opposition was no where near as good as the prem league, not a real test acon isn't jack wilshere running at you would be a real test

dave

Agree4 Disagree4

Mikel world class? A big guy who doesn't impose his physical advantage, who doesn't attack and close down attackers but instead plays a space, who has limited pace and is terrible with the ball in the air for someone his size. And he doesn't pose a threat to score. For me he will never be world class, he doesn't have the mental make-up.

Agree6 Disagree5

Mikel can not head the ball either!

Agree6 Disagree5

Mikel was an early groomer. Got huge physical presence in the youth cup, where most of the world took notice in the first place. Looked great in the "mighty" Norwegian league. We made our move, but when he got to play against real talent - we have discovered all of his flaws and a wide array of weaknesses. He's an alright player and woyld look a star in EPL, if he was made a focal point in some team like Stoke City, QPR, Norwich or West Brom. But he's not a star player at the top club like ours.

Im sorry mikel will never fill that potential.

If we sell courtois for falcao I am going to be more disappointed than everything else. he is the most important player of Chelsea future. we should keep him at all costs.

taby

Believable15 Unbelievable2

Would much rather put a seperate bid in for Cavani the recall Courtois for next season.

CfcBenWxm

Agree11 Disagree1

That's reliant on Courtois actually wanting to return to Chelsea.

IB.

Agree0 Disagree4

We've already bid for Cavaini and it was rejected. He's likely to cost more than Falcao. DJ

Agree1 Disagree3

To be honest if we lost courtois I wouldn't be too bothered. we have a world class keeper who we could get another 10 years out of, plenty of time to find a replacement. we need a striker now and falcao is the best there is

Agree1 Disagree6

I'm sick of us as a club not bringing some youngster through. I would really be disappointed in courtios not returning in the summer. Torres a season long loan for courtios and 20million is fine. But to keep Torres, and sell courtios is ludicrous.

Agree1 Disagree0

Torres plus 20 mil and courtois on loan is not going to be accepted in the slightest. we are talking about a player who is thought of as the best striker in the world atm, with multiple wealthy clubs interested. it will be an auction and at madrid can hike up the price. you guys need to be more realistic with your pricing.

jscottjr

Agree1 Disagree1

A more realistic price would be Torres, Courtois +20m. That's what Falcao's worth. I don't see A. Madrid settling for anything less than his buyout clause which is 50m.
