Hi ED002,

I have a question about Sancho if you don't mind answering. From what I've read from your previous posts on the site, is that he would be interested in a move to Chelsea or Madrid, but Chelsea will not pay the overall price for him.
Would Chelsea be more willing to purchase Sancho this summer if just the agent fees are lowered? Or is it the price BVB are quoting too high as well? Thank you for the info you provide daily on this site, it makes for good reading.

Blue_Soldier

{Ed002's Note - It is the overall price that is the issue - Chelsea want the asking price reduced some and want the agent fees reduced to perhaps 20% of what they are now. The agent has come back several times with tiny changes - it is not going to happen.}

Do you see him staying at BVB one more year or perhaps Madrid or even United purchasing him this summer?
Disappointing we couldn't reach a deal for Sancho, what a player he is.

2.) 08 Jun 2020 20:18:19
I have no idea how it will end. There is an issue to force the move this summer.}

3.) 08 Jun 2020 20:25:34
Will certainly be an interesting transfer to keep an eye on. Thanks for the info as always Ed.

If any of the Eds could answer this I would appreciate it.

I saw on the European pages that Morata could be moving away from Chelsea. What club would he go to and why would he move?

I thought he had a decent-ish season considering he was playing through injury and missed a chunk of the season. I would be sad to see him leave without a proper chance to prove himself. If anyone could share some light on this I would appreciate it. Thanks for the info so far.

AC Milan reps were apparently in London trying to get a deal done for him.

Who organised the schedule for Carabao Cup? Massive stitch up for Spurs, one recovery day and then play again, we only have one extra day which helps slightly but injuries are inevitable with such quick turnarounds! I'll be surprised if Mou's team has many from Sunday's game in it.

Spurs play again on Thursday in Europe. All these games have to be shoved in somewhere.

2.) 28 Sep 2020 11:01:07
Really! that's crazy dihanio, I think this season is going to have so many injuries/ C.V. cases that most teams are going to struggle at some point.

3.) 28 Sep 2020 12:36:35
Spurs? Jose 'I love this club'? Lol.

hi ED002,

Is it possible for us regular folk to access TMS reports or do you need to be a member of some sort? I think it would be an interesting read.

Thanks in advance for your response.

Blue_Soldier

{Ed002's Note - It is not something that can be accessed by the public.}

Thats a shame, I find the details of transfers quite fascinating. Thanks for the reply.

Great attacking performance tonight, a bit loose in defence and a fair few turnovers but a great watch. Kai is such a calm player, impressive performance.
I feel I need to point out just how good Kova is. His touch is always good, ball retention is immaculate, I've been so impressed with him since we signed him.
I think Callum is just low on confidence, it will come once he gets a goal/ assist, seen him make players look silly on the ball but doesn't want to go past a player atm, no doubt he will find some form soon. Tammy also good today, had a hand in a lot of goals tonight.

Bring on West Brom.

Reflecting on yesterdays game, although I thought we gave them a little too much respect and dropped a few yards too deep, I thought we looked a lot more secure and organised throughout the team. It would of been interesting to see what the result would of been had Christensen not been sent off which was a shame.
I think we need to accept that at the moment, Liverpool are just a level above us right now, they have a very settled team and have added quality to it little by little. I think we can definitely get to that level, but it needs time and patience, i'm already seeing posts about Lampard out, this player out, that player out. We just have to look at Liverpool and Klopp as an example of how long it can take for a managers plan to work.

On player performances, I thought James did well against one of the best wingers in Mane, kept him relatively quiet when we had 11 on the pitch which is tough to do. Kante was excellent as usual, bizarre that some want him sold! Werner was busy all game and a threat at times, Kai had some nice touches, be nice to see him in a more central role once we get some players fit again.

Few more weeks and everyone will be back available for selection which will be exciting.

On to Wednesday!

Can't wait for the new season to start. Get to see Ziyech, Werner and probably Havertz in a blue shirt! Might see a few of the old guard fazed out or even sold so Players like CHO will hopefully step up now he's fit and give us the performances he did pre injury! Think I'm most excited for Werner, genuine pace up top is something we haven't had for years!

Not that I want him to go, but does anyone think he will do better at a club like Bayern? can't see him getting much game time ahead of Gnabry, Sane and Coman.

I’d be very upset if we sold Kante. A truly special player. He’s intelligent enough to adjust and play the positions Frank wants to play. Would be madness to sell him imo. For me he’s one of those players you don’t sell, even for financial gain. Hope he stays, he will be vital for us.

Where would you play Rice? CB or in midfield? Bare in mind we have Kante who will play every game when fit.

If only it were that simple Standard. Rather sell Rudi than Zouma at this point to be honest.

Thanks for your info ED. I do remember his performance against Liverpool last season (I think), he was superb and someone I would of liked to see at Chelsea. Thanks for your time, have a great day!

Blue_Soldier

{Ed001's Note - he is normally excellent to be fair. He would be great in the Prem.}

ED001, a few questions if you don't mind. Thomas Partey, is he the type of profile Chelsea need? I do like Rice as a player but like you said, Ampadu could do a similar job. I've seen Partey play a few times and have been impressed each time, but will he do the job that Franks wants? Not even sure we are looking to Partey and to stump up 50 million euros in one payment seems unlikely. What are your thoughts if you have time.

Blue_Soldier

{Ed001's Note - Partey can play a number of roles to an extremely high level. He is a bit like Saul, a very good utility player that is often shoehorned into a role that doesn't really make the most of his attributes but he makes it work. The problem is that Partey's key asset is his mobility and he is very good at making driving runs forward but Simeone only knows how to make everyone play defensively. So instead of utilising Partey's mobility and ability on the ball, Simeone has him sit in front of the back four. To be fair to Partey he does the job very well, it is just that he could be even better allowed a bit of freedom.

I am sure he could do whatever Frank asked him to do and do it well.}

Nice team gola, not a big fan of playing without wingers, everything gets so congested, obviously full backs can provide width but i'd like to see CHO out there providing space for midfielders like Mount and Havertz. I also hope Frank goes close to full strength, we are playing the spuds after all.
Team i'd like to see tonight
Mendy
Azpi Tomori Zouma Chilwell
Kante (not sure)
Mount Havertz Cho
Werner

Flip of a coin who to put next to Kante, I like Kova but that pair wasn't too good against West Brom.
Hopefully Timo will notch tonight.
