Eds, with Steve Holland leaving at the end of the season to take up his role with the England first team, what is the likelihood of JT retiring at the end of the season and taking on this role

I mentioned some time ago that JT has in front of him a dual purpose contract. Still a player (squad only) and the management team (not Conte's No. 2) I hope he signs it. From the comments I've seen before there are some people who want him to leave. I guess its all about opinions!

If what the papers say is true i. e. it is between Lukaku and Morata I woukd always go with Conte's choice. Emenalo's choices have cost us far too many times and I am not sure why he is still at the club.

I'll always trust Conte's choice but Morata doesn't seem like the best option to replace Costa. Lukaku has always been a goal scorer but some other aspects of his game worry me although I feel he's improved massively this season. I remember Everton v City and he absolutely destroyed them. I wouldn't be unhappy if we resigned Lukaku as I feel he's a great player who'll have a lot to prove. Don't forget he's a Chelsea fan and I believe he'll count as HG (correct me if I'm wrong)

Lukaku looks better than Morata when we watch them play.
Lukaku has great goal scoring record in EPL while morata has never bagged 20+ goals in a season in any league.
However if Mr Conte sees Morata as an ideal candidate to replace Costa then there might be something we are unaware and only Conte knows.

After watching both Lukaku and Morata many times this season i can make out,
Lukaku better striker than Morata infront of goal.
Morata more hard working player than Lukaku.

though it seems its going to be one of the two! but I like the look of ardrei belotti. he seems to be more vicious than the two and more deadly in the box. long gone are those day we use drogba's type of striker, I think we really need a p. box predator, someone with good blend of flair, movement and a aerial prowess. I'd take morata if we are keeping hazard but lukaku if we are not.

The thing I struggle getting over with moratta is that he hasn't been the #1 striker at any club that he's been at to this point. I get that lukaku's touch isn't the best and doesn't work the hardest but I feel those things can be developed, hell drogba'a touch was terrible when he arrived and when he left he had unbelievable control for a player of his size.

A lot of transfer talk recently especially with Costa. TBH I hope he leaves so we can sign someone who actually wants to play for us. Not only this, Costa hasn't been playing very well for a few months now and I get very frustrated whenever he gets the ball because he doesn't do anything other than lose it or fall over.
