Looks like j pedro signing done. just no idea what the strategy is here unless jackson is leaving? he's not better thsn jackson or delap . dodgy injury record and discipline issues. another baffling signing at a time where we shouldve been looking to improve the team.
1.) 29 Jun 2025 19:49:34
I haven’t seen that confirmed but I see him as a replacement for Nkunku not Jackson. Time will tell.
2.) 29 Jun 2025 20:30:39
I guess it all depends on how Jackson sees it Tom.
3.) 29 Jun 2025 20:57:07
Im guessing hel replace both felix and NKunku in the squad and will probably rotate with gittens off the left >I think he will surprise any fan whos scratching his head.
4.) 29 Jun 2025 21:03:06
Bill, as far as I’m concerned if a player isn’t prepared to fight for his place then he can leave anytime he likes.
As I’ve said in a previous post I will wait and see him play in Chelsea Blue before I make my judgement.
I agree Poch, I think he is a replacement for Nkunku and Felix I think will end up at Benfica on loan.
5.) 30 Jun 2025 09:06:07
Totally agree Tom, if a player is frightened of competition then let him go.
There is talk about Pedro's injury record. However, I seem to remember Neto had the same issue and that turned out just fine for us.
6.) 03 Jul 2025 19:35:40
He’s just another option and a bit of a different one. Sometimes you’ll want Delap’s strength and ball carrying, others you’ll want Jackson’s ability both to link and to stretch play, then you might want Pedro dropping in and playing the ball through. It’s all about options for different problems.
7.) 05 Jul 2025 22:09:27
FD77, good description of the different options that we need.

Buonanotte ????? . some
Shocking business at the back end of this window. completely undone all the good work to begin with. glad our SDs got extentions cos theyd struggle getting a job elsewhere. absolutely clueless.
1.) 29 Aug 2025 15:06:20
It’s impossible for the manager or the SD’s to make us all happy.
I can’t say I have noticed this lad playing for Brighton or Leicester.
2.) 29 Aug 2025 16:07:06
Who is Buonanotte and why do we need him. I did say the SDs would revert to type and screw things up in the last week of the window.
3.) 29 Aug 2025 17:03:28
I just cannot understand why we are loaning him, not even an option, just does not make any sense at all.
4.) 29 Aug 2025 17:05:14
Jimbo I too don't know who Buonanotte is also having not seen him play so I have no idea if we need him or not.
Think the SD's have had a good window apart from Garnacho but as with everything time will tell.
5.) 29 Aug 2025 17:28:29
What an extraordinary move to get this player on loan having pulled out of Simons deal. Does this mean we won't be poursuing either Lopez or Rogers ie someone who might seem to be a genuine possible contender for much first team action? Surely keep Desbury -Hall if not getting someone demonstrably better?
Anyway has anyone - perhaps you Ed001 - watched him play or even noticed him befor now? Quick online scan frevealshe has played some games for Brighton and not scored many goals and made 2 appearances for Argentina (no goals) and three for Argentina under 20s (One goal) . described as a winger in some places and attacking midfielder in others. Yet another winger?! No CN or GK and no attacking left sided midfielder of proven quality? Well he will have Garnacho and Enzo F as fellow Argentinians at CFC but what do people think is going on here?
{Ed001's Note - he was on loan at Leicester last season, struggled to get in their team.}
6.) 29 Aug 2025 17:49:28
I couldn’t be bothered watching much football played last season by teams at the bottom end of the table and that included the likes of Utd and the spuds unless they were playing us of course. I don’t remember him playing for Brighton the season before and I assume he played against us as he seemed to play a lot of games that season.
Do we have an option?
7.) 29 Aug 2025 18:06:56
JBS, from what I understand we never actually made an offer for Simons but I would have preferred him to Garnacho ( or frankly anyone ) . Buonanotte made 13 appearances for Leicester ( no doubt some as sub) which just about sums it up. I wonder whose idea that was? I thought our transfer window was a 7 out of 10 obviously gone down now.
8.) 29 Aug 2025 18:18:15
Straight loan Tom which makes this one even more ricidilous.
Lost the plot springs to mind.
9.) 29 Aug 2025 19:28:39
Thanks Ed001 and Jimbo for your info. makes this loan deal ever stranger though as with all incoming will hope he can make some positive contributions!
10.) 29 Aug 2025 20:59:18
I’m not sure whose reports are accurate. One of the earlier reports said Brighton would only allow a straight loan. That would make me think we wanted to buy him or at least a loan with an obligation.
11.) 30 Aug 2025 05:35:06
According to one site FB played about 35 games for Leicester last season and a similar amount of games for Brighton the season before. Given the comments above I assume that a lot of those appearances were as a substitute.
I will be seeing a bloke next week who is a Chelsea supporter but as he lives in Brighton and goes to some of there games he can give me his view on the lads ability.
The structure of the loan deal might also prove to be interesting.
28 Aug 2025 14:43:22
so we near the end of a strange window- some decent signings ( pedro, delap, hato)
a couple of baffling ones (gittens, possibly garnacho)
some decent sales but with likes of chillwell and sterling still hanging around
NO NEW KEEPER- which is criminal for me as well as not really addressing the clear issues at CB with colwill out for the season and fofana likely to join him at any moment.
i just struggle to see the strategy- we are a decent keeper and experienced CB away from being serious contenders yet seem to be hellbent on chasing garnacho based on goodness knows what.
1.) 28 Aug 2025 14:58:19
Could not agree more Kazblue.
05 Aug 2025 14:08:13
Starting to get seriously worried about us sogning garnacho…think it would damage the good work done in this window and perhaps go down as one of our worst ever signings…. We need to stay as far away from
Him and his toxic brother as possible.
1.) 05 Aug 2025 14:44:48
I’m sure if he is as bad as being painted we will not be signing him.
2.) 05 Aug 2025 15:45:04
If anything he's a lot worse than what's said…. and i really hope correct and that fabrizio romano prat has been paid to drum aome interest the way he posts about it every day!
3.) 05 Aug 2025 20:37:13
Why worry mate? We are pretty smart operators nowadays in the transfer market, we buy and sell and often make a tidy profit, long gone are the mistakes like Lukaku and more recently Sterling. If, and it is a big if, Garnacho comes in he will be a squad player who will need to show real progress, both in terms of ability and attitude to get a regular spot in the side. If he meets the potential the like of Paul Scholes thinks he has it is a win win, if he belly flops we move him on at a likely profit or at least break even figure. We will wait to move until later in the window and then pull the utd pants down and sign him cheap and as per last year if he kicks up a stink Maresca will have him out the club in January as you saw with Veiga and Felix.
4.) 06 Aug 2025 11:55:36
Tend to agree with you Greenaway and as you may have seen there is now a rumoured possibility that if we don't buy him outrightcos United think our valuation too low they may be tempted to loan him to us with an option to buy. We'll see soon enough I guess. I have also like Tom worried a bit about his temprement but he is still young and at his best capable looked to me to be one of the more dangerous United attackers in terms of opening up a defense though - like Noni? - not always the best with final decision making. But perhaps Maresca can get him to fit his system and be more disciplined plus he will have international Enzo F. in the team to shout at him when needed perhaps! So if either relatvely low purchase fee or a loan deal he could be moved on if not a good squad/ team player or fulfilling expectation.
5.) 06 Aug 2025 14:19:19
JBS, I just wouldn’t go near him. However, it is strange that he wants to come to a club where he is unlikely to start which was what he and his brother were most my about on social media. Perhaps he thinks he is better than players in our squad which demonstrates one of his other problems: he thinks he is a better player than he actually is: I thought we’d got rid of that attitude.
6.) 06 Aug 2025 15:01:17
JBS, I’m personally not worried about his temperament but I respect the opinion of those that are worried about his temperament.
I’m up in town at the moment. I was out earlier with some Chelsea mates and they said at £20m we should take him despite his supposed issues. This attitude shocked me but as I keep reminding myself, we are generally all just fickle fans!
06 Feb 2024 20:14:21
Have the club upset someone senior at talksport? Because the garbage coming out of their seems to have stepped up in recent days.
Just a really glum depressing feeling around the club and with a horrible fixture list it might be time to buckle up and brace yourselves.
1.) 07 Feb 2024 07:24:08
Jim White with his yellow transfer window tie are to to wind fans up in the jope they bite and spend money by phoning or texting in.
The sold called experts are mainly just washed up old players who are trying to male ends meet.
The only one I would listen to on there is Simon Jordan who brings sense to the proceedings.
{Ed001's Note - Jordan? The man who almost bankrupt Palace with his idiotic transfer dealings? The guy is an imbecile. If he is the best on there, then you know it is just something to switch off.}
2.) 07 Feb 2024 08:03:18
My point exactly Ed.
01 Sep 2025 18:02:22
harsh on sterling- yes he hasn't worked out but nothing to suggest he's behaved badly.
think its a case of bad business from us buying him on his decline- not the players fault we make questionable signings at times. he gets far too much bad press imo.
04 Aug 2025 18:22:43
dont see it with jackson- think he's comfortably behind pedro and delap- if a decent offer comes in id drop him off myself, we need to trim down the squad big time. i just pray we don't sign garnarcho and undo the good work of the window so far.
21 Jul 2025 14:43:36
ever the one to try and get a dig in . well aware of that but longer contracts kick the can further down the road. not everything needs a smart response pal.
20 Jul 2025 19:35:37
its one benefit to having such long contracts . madrid can't do their usual dodgy tricks of convincing players to run down contracts.
23 Jun 2025 14:05:29
Make sure the findings are correct and process correct. then look to terminate his contract and avoid wasting any more money on the disaster that has been his chelsea career.
30 Sep 2025 20:21:55
not really. we have been very poor recently no point denying it.
27 Sep 2025 19:04:22
i just understand how you believe the squad is good enough to compete for top honours. there's huge holes in the squad, quantity does not mean quality.
18 Sep 2025 15:14:43
Hes a quality RB. yano his actual position. be nice if he played there.
08 Sep 2025 15:33:22
Tbh for the loan fee mentioned. makes it even better business, huge loan fee and if he does well and doesn't reach game targets we can bring him back and sell on.
22 Aug 2025 17:39:44
agreed london derby all of that.
only issue is the happy hammers are dreadful and you're usually wrong. we should be looking to jump start our season and smash the sorry lot.
