Hi Ed,
Is there any truth in this Callum Wilson talk?
I'm guessing a Broja replacement if it's true?
{Ed002's Note - I would nold your breath.}
1.) 28 Jan 2024 15:42:55
Thanks ed.
29 Aug 2023 10:54:19
Ed sorry if this is a silly one, but I like Ferran Torres as a player and there's a rumour we're looking at him.
Any truth?
{Ed002's Note - Ferran Torres (LW) Getting game time but Barcelona will be open to offers. Chelsea and Juventus have sent scouts but Chelsea opted for another and Juve are re-evaluation their plans after penalties. Has been offered to Newcastle, who may be interested and will be offered to others.}
1.) 29 Aug 2023 11:13:40
Thanks Ed.
2.) 30 Aug 2023 17:10:12
seems the player Chelsea opted for is Cole Palmer, is he on the wanted list of players ED002? Thanks.
{Ed002's Note - Yesbut there are two preferred options.}
3.) 30 Aug 2023 20:57:12
thanks ED002, You are God sent.
05 Aug 2023 09:01:08
Hi Ed,
Any truth that we are looking at Leandro Paredes as an option?
Thanks.
{Ed002's Note - Leandro Paredes (DM) option will not be taken up by Juventus who have a replacement lined-up - PSG will look to sell him on with a planned replacement lined up lined up for them. Has been offered to Manchester City, Chelsea, Manchester United and Bayern Munich. Not an ideal age but would allow Chelsea to move on from Caicedo.}
1.) 05 Aug 2023 12:49:13
He is an ancient 29. Not an ideal age for our current kindergarten team, but he just turned 29 in June. He is from Argentina, has played in Russia, France and Italy. Played in the World cup. Alongside Enzo. Has played for Pocchettino before. At the World cup he was the feisty bloke who blasted the ball into the Dutch bench during that great game. I think he could do a job as an experienced DM for 2-3 years.
One year left on his contract. PSG want to get rid of him. How much would he be?
2.) 05 Aug 2023 13:08:50
I remember him being 'one paced'
I think he lacks physicality
I think we need physicality.
I'm happy to be corrected though.
3.) 05 Aug 2023 14:03:05
The most important thing about signing Paredes is that he wouldn't block the development of the young midfield players we have signed.
If we sign Caceido for close to a £100m where would that leave them given we don't have European games to give them a chance.
It's a cheapish gamble and one worth taking for next season.
4.) 05 Aug 2023 14:45:47
Nice point. But I think we're looking for two anyway. I think said youngster might stay in the squad.
5.) 05 Aug 2023 15:07:24
He has physicality - what he lacks is pace. Jorghino comparison would be reasonable. Although more aggressive than Jorghi.
6.) 05 Aug 2023 15:31:26
Exactly what I meant by physicality, also exactly the comparison I'd make.
08 Jul 2023 13:44:44
Lukaku to Juve
Presumably he still prefers Inter but let's hope for a resolution soon.
1.) 08 Jul 2023 17:10:48
I am enjoying seeing reports of Chelsea rejecting Inter Milan’s bid for Lukaku.
2.) 08 Jul 2023 19:12:14
Why not just swap vlahovic with Rom.
3.) 10 Jul 2023 05:05:21
Nib66; three parties would have to agree to that first to make it a reality: Chelsea, Juventus and Lukaku’s camp.
4.) 10 Jul 2023 07:38:44
Nibb I would have thought Chelsea would have been pushing for that especially when vlahovic is one of our striker options. Would be perfect in that lukaku is pushed out of inter that had messed around for long with lukaku over us and we getting our preferred option as per Ed.
We were fast in selling off platers but mot in bringing them in for the poch preseason which is very important for the team bonding in my opinion.
26 Jun 2023 07:36:10
Hi Ed,
I'm easily confused and do not understand the Mount situation.
You have said that Mount has had a very good offer from Chelsea.
The 'media' say that he has only been offered a one year extension to his current contract (which is presumably a lesser wage than he might command now)
Are the media getting this one wrong?
{Ed002's Note - The Mount situation is as I have explained.}
1.) 26 Jun 2023 14:37:03
Thanks ed.
2.) 26 Jun 2023 18:35:12
I know people close to mount. the only offer has been the 1 year offer. that is it. He hasn't turned down any further offer as he hasn't received one.
3.) 27 Jun 2023 00:45:59
South lad 1 year? That's baffling! I've read that too. Understandable why he's miffed or feels underappreciated with how low his wages have been too.
4.) 27 Jun 2023 04:56:42
I would find it impossible to believe the club have offered Mount a “one year contract”.
I’m sure the club feels it has put a reasonable offer in front of the player and that includes the term of the contract.
5.) 27 Jun 2023 09:40:38
My mate cuts his girlfriends sisters hair and he says that Chelsea offered MM 250k per week. ha ha ha.
No seriously, Ed says that he's had a good offer.
Various 'reporters' claim that he's been offered a 1 year extension.
I think both could be true. Perhaps he declined the good offer some time ago and it's not been fully revisited?
6.) 27 Jun 2023 14:56:35
The 1 year extension was at the beginning of the year. there has been nothing before or since then, contrary to what you may have read or heard.
7.) 28 Jun 2023 18:30:33
Ed Says he has had a good offer.
End of story.
He HAS had a good offer.

29 May 2024 11:57:34
I'm happy with the new manager. But just to wind a few of you up.
Hot take.
Kepa Will be first choice next season.
1.) 29 May 2024 13:08:13
WerWe'not going to fall for Nathswindon. or are we?!
2.) 29 May 2024 13:43:06
You may well be right Nathswindon. Maresca likes his goalkeeper to play as a sweeper at times so needs to be very good on the ball. Of our current crop of keepers who, if any, fit that style?
3.) 29 May 2024 13:49:55
All I hear is that he'll want a keeper that can step into defence.
4.) 29 May 2024 13:59:59
If that is the case we had better get 7 foot defenders as he does not control his area and what about all the mistakes when he got caught in possession.
He was 3rd choice at Real.
{Ed002's Note - It is simply rubbish and just fouls up the site with nonsense.}
5.) 29 May 2024 14:34:35
Haha oh god, kepa, stories today of Diego Costa, pretty much the best option possible, but expensive.
6.) 29 May 2024 16:54:07
Sorry ed, was just meant to be a banter post.
{Ed002's Note - Don’t worry.}
7.) 29 May 2024 19:27:25
Might be a bit controversial but I don’t think Kepa is as bad as people make out. None of our keepers are top class even Petrovic can be best described as steady. It is widely reported that we are looking for a new No 1 keeper. If that is the case we, in theory, need to move of from of, Kepa, Sanchez and Petrovic.
8.) 30 May 2024 08:16:38
Imo we undermine petrovic. I would give him time next season as he's still young and has been steady so far. kepa for me is the worst of them as he lacks the basic goalkeeping abilities. Petrovic only need more coaching to be among one of the best in the league.
I really don't worry about singing new goalkeeper this summer as It could be used in other areas.
31 Jul 2023 21:23:45
Colwill new contract
Six years
Great news.
1.) 31 Jul 2023 22:34:56
Fantastic news hope he cements his place in the starting 11.
2.) 31 Jul 2023 22:17:44
Nath, I agree. Fingers crossed the young lad fulfills his potential.
12 Feb 2023 11:33:36
I'm embarrassed by the Chelsea supporters at the moment.
Cucerella has been poor, but the witch hunt is shameful. Yesterday Mudryk offered no support and West Ham left Cucerella free to press the left. Rediculous to blame him.
Also, I hear that Potter should have been 'more angry'. What?
Potter being angry would look weak and destabilise what little team spirit there is.
Fans are so short sighted it's embarrassing.
Lastly Badiadhille is a baller.
1.) 12 Feb 2023 11:53:32
Nath, we all have different views and it’s only a passion for our team that makes the site interesting.
2.) 12 Feb 2023 12:41:03
Tom. You are always positive mate.
I wish there were a few more like you.
The atmosphere would be better online.
3.) 12 Feb 2023 13:21:00
Booing the team for a performance is the fans right, targeting one certain players is disgusting, i and others have and post opinions on players, I wouldn’t got to the game and attack or boo a player, how will that help his confidence,
4.) 12 Feb 2023 14:06:31
I agree booing a player only makes his confidence sink lower however you have to question GP's decision to play him in the first instance bearing in mind GP had recently admitted CC was playing poorly.
5.) 12 Feb 2023 17:25:47
Let’s just get this straight MC had a poor game but the goal we conceded was more about James being half asleep.
6.) 12 Feb 2023 17:38:48
Nath, trust me I’m not always positive and I’m always critical of the cub, manager or any player when I think it’s deserved but I try not to lose sight of the bigger picture and I prefer to make any full on scathing comment at the end of the season.
7.) 12 Feb 2023 18:28:47
Re. Potter being angrier, you’ve got to say it worked for Nathan Jones. Oh.
8.) 12 Feb 2023 18:53:10
Agree Cucerella had been poor. But yesterday was about the whole left hand side putting him under pressure.
West Ham planning for that.
Poor tracking on the right.
And a really good flick on.
9.) 12 Feb 2023 20:37:02
Wow Tom your always positive yet the teams been awful we’re lost at the minute and unfortunately potter isn’t the man.
10.) 12 Feb 2023 20:44:45
Nibb, I repeat i am not always positive. I can find reasons for our below par performances and I’m content to see how this season progresses and how the team performs under GP after a pre-season.
15 Aug 2022 08:58:43
I think that yesterday we saw more of what TT is aiming for.
High press and tactically flexible. A big change from last season.
The squad has changed, but it's clear it still needs energy in the middle.
It's also clear that whilst we need someone to more clinical, we need forwards who can press. Despite the missed chances the front three really set the press yesterday. They were excellent in that respect. They do need to be sharper in front of the goal.
It's a difficult thing to achieve, but I still feel Broja might be an option. I'm not sure PEA is the man for that role?
1.) 15 Aug 2022 10:25:46
Nath, the press yesterday was excellent. Mount was awesome on the press.
Can I also add that the TT tactic of allowing Dier to have the ball and then shutting off one side of the pitch was very effective and simple. It reminded me of how Eto used to press and Havertz did it very well yesterday.
2.) 15 Aug 2022 10:30:34
Nath, I have been critical of our style of play but yesterday that tactics and formation were very good. We clearly need to look at midfield given the ongoing injury issues with Kova and Kante. The front three as is won’t score enough goals and not convinced that Broja or PEA would hit 20+ mark which is what we need.
3.) 15 Aug 2022 10:35:16
Agree with you both.
4.) 15 Aug 2022 10:37:30
Can I also be clear.
I absolutley loved most things about yesterday.
THAT team could win things.
5.) 15 Aug 2022 20:55:44
With regards to the current front 3,they are a few lessons in how to be clinical from being pretty awesome. A touch more clinical and Sterling=Salah, Havertz=prime F. Torres and Mount=well Mount with a few more goals and assists. Not many better front 3's about. Keep the faith TT and fellow Blues for at least 10 games and who knows? Broja decent substitute and Michy knows where the goal is. KTBFFH.
30 Jul 2022 12:19:43
If there's any truth in Werner leaving for £45m it feels like a deal we should take and might add some freshness to the squad if replaced?
1.) 30 Jul 2022 15:39:21
I would be staggered if any club offers that amount for him but it’s silly season and as we get towards the end of the window some clubs will go into panic mode.
2.) 30 Jul 2022 16:12:59
Well he started and won a Champions League final and had a (very) good record in Germany. If the wages can be reconciled I can see it making sense.
3.) 30 Jul 2022 17:11:11
Nath, I’m not a fan of Werner so I would be happy if he moved onto pastures new.
Maybe a different team and coach could see him flourish.
4.) 30 Jul 2022 18:09:48
Bet any interest is for loan . usually the case.
5.) 30 Jul 2022 18:12:03
I’ve heard it’s not permanent and doubt it’d be at 45m fee more like around 30m with a buy option.
Good luck to the lad if he goes anyway. Not good enough technically but he’s always give his best and not sulked.
26 Aug 2024 12:00:08
Nice one jbs.
26 Aug 2024 10:24:14
I smell a bargain.
He's a Chelsea fan
Maresca and Stewart will know him well.
Has performed well everywhere EXCEPT utd.
Clearly talented.
Will go for less than his value.
Wages a problem, and we need a striker (perhaps Nkunku would move to striker? )
19 Jul 2024 17:27:38
Yeah me too. Very good listen.
17 Jun 2024 20:21:59
Wonderful player.
04 Jun 2024 18:39:15
Good post on Arsenal page. Very interesting.
30 Aug 2024 09:41:14
They've also agreed with Toney.
They won't be getting both.
Chelsea will get one or the other surely.
24 Aug 2024 11:24:51
Most people weren't enthused.
At least it would prove our scouting team nailed it.
I thought he looked like a beast btw.
03 Jul 2024 10:43:02
Oh yeah, Stirling! But not really a midfielder.
03 Jul 2024 09:09:13
I'm sorry to say CG.
I just feel that he has a ceiling and we will be able to sell above value.
I appreciate this is cold and calculated and will not be a popular opinion.
29 May 2024 16:54:07
Sorry ed, was just meant to be a banter post.
{Ed002's Note - Don’t worry.}
