Hello Ed and fellow posters, got to say TT has done an amazing job the game against WBA was just a blip some days teams turn up and are just better on the day and I think WBA would of beaten anyone the way they played so credit to them.

Hopefully we have a good display tonight I'd take an away goal and a draw though I'm hoping for a win.

Ed I was curious I've been reading the posts lately and it would seem the main focus in the summer is going to be on a cab and a st do the club deem that sarr guy we brought has not ready for first team yet and do you no who Chelsea are looking to upfront besides the obvious haaland and lukaku neither of which I can see happening.

In terms of outs would you say it's reasonable to expect the following to leave has things stand.

I suspect Jorginho too but I guess it depends on who we bring back from the loans or the under 23 set up don't think spending big on rice is what we need.

Last question are the club looking to offload Werner I've seen it reported a few times I'm hoping it isn't true guys only been with us a year he's a good player just needs time I think.

Anyway hope your safe and all other Ed's and posters KTBFFH all the best come on the Chelsea.

{Ed002's Note - (a) You can likely watch Sarr later and make up your mind - I don't know if he will start but he is in the squad. (b) I have explained the situation with Haaland and unless something very significant were to happen to resolve a huge issue there will be no chance of Lukaku returning. As I have already explained Chelsea have not finalised what they intend to do in the summer but consideration has also to be given to those on loan and coming through and how they progress. (c) No, it is not reasonable to expect that all of those players will leave - but certainly some will. (d) Chelsea has made no efforts to "offload" Timo Werner and my expectation is he that will start tonight.}

Morning Ed and posters Ed not sure if you can or will want to comment on sauls future considering his big countdown announcement but don't suppose it has anything to do with us and the Morata money? I'm pretty sure you've said in the past Chelsea have looked at him.

Do we still retain an interest in Jude Bellingham looks to be Dortmund bound but again previous interest was there I belive.

Is anyone in your opinion likely to push for Kante this year or do you think we will get one more season with him at least.

Lastly do you still make them podcasts haven't seen any links up in a while always an interesting listen.
Thank you for your time.

{Ed002's Note - (a) Try Twitter. (b) Jude Bellingham (CM) As far as I know the situation remains with Jude Bellingham that Birmingham want more than £30M for the kid and know that there are clubs from across Europe interested in him, including clubs who can afford to take the risks and clubs who will give him a chance of first team football before the likes of Manchester United (who are very keen). Manchester United have done nothing to try and complete the transfer but propose a low fee and bonuses over a number of years but the player wants a road map which the club can't offer. Dortmund have continued discussions and have thought for a while that they will reach a formal agreement. (c) N'Golo Kante (DM/CM) PSG have enquired and are of the opinion Real Madrid to may make an offer in the summer. (d) I am sure the Sharkopods will return at some point.}

1.) 03 Jun 2020 11:22:10
Thanks for that Ed.

06 Jun 2017 02:09:03
Hey Ed002 not commented in a while but been following see you've made some great calls regarding other players for other teams this year yet again so far your knowledge is second to none.

Im unaware if your still travelling but if you have a spare 5mins could you just give us a really quick and dirty run down of the top targets and positions the club seems to be focusing on the most please just untill you get round to putting together one of those sharkppod things please.

all the best safe travels and again thanks for the all the info.

{Ed002's Note - Remind me at the end of the week L.}

15 Jul 2016 12:07:31
Well things do change rather quickly, few of us getting worried about transfers but wow the small list we are now heavily linked to look like a real talent pool.

AM:fellipe anderson
CM:Amadou Diawara
CB:Koulibaly/ Manolas

1. Ed are you aware of what will be happening in regards to cuadrado?

2.Also has club received any offers for any of players yet? i know don't wanna write lists so yes or no would be great.

tragic scenes to wake up to today prayers go out to all the families involved all them lifes gone for what very sad.

{Ed002's Note - Juventus would liked to have kept Cuadrado at the end of his loan but Chelsea, in the first instance, will want to try and persuade the player to stay and it is very unlikely Chelsea would agree to a further loan - but a sale is possible. The dependency on another player discussed before still exists, and there will be a need for him to know how he would be used tactically, but Chelsea would like him to stay. Barcelona has made an enquiry as to his availability but that can now be discounted. Chelsea have already rejected an approach from Atletico Madrid and have a tentative enquiry from Inter but it will be left very much in the hands of the player himself if any interested side were to make an acceptable bid.

Yes there have been offers for players.}

1.) 15 Jul 2016 13:03:20
Afternoon Ed002,

You quote offers have been made,
Would one be to Liecester City for KANTE?

thank you.

{Ed002's Note - Read the post.}

2.) 15 Jul 2016 13:03:58
Well, Lampsy, it would seem that Kante will be joining Chelsea soon rather than later. Reports are surfacing that he will have his medical in the coming days.
So that's good news.
CB is next priority. We desperately need a new one to start.

3.) 15 Jul 2016 13:12:21
And on the European pages, Ed stated that there's a possibility of an improved offer from Chelsea for Barbosa. Ed states that unless the bid happens and is subsequently accepted, then he expects Barbosa to sign a new contract with Santos. So nothing's done there :-)

4.) 15 Jul 2016 13:25:33
Wheelycfc - the question asked by Lampsy_8 was have there been any offers received for (Chelsea) players, to which Ed002 replied yes, there have been.

How did you interpret that as Chelsea making offers for players?!

5.) 15 Jul 2016 14:13:10
Sorry my bad. I read it quick :) )

6.) 15 Jul 2016 14:46:17
I'll forgive you. :)

7.) 15 Jul 2016 15:01:20
Steve_B thanks 😂😂.

02 Jul 2016 03:17:09
Hello EDs put this at the top rather then the bottom to save you reading through my personal opinions but questions below basically go with what's been put.

1:New reports on Kante is there anything other then the previous interest you mentioned worth stating regarding Kante and CFC?

2:Eds Thank you for the info on Batsman a few weeks back again proven correct he looks set to sign any day interest in Morata has been widely discussed Ed018 mentioned the possibility of one other should Morata not be viable would you be able to tell us who?

3.Are the club looking at and out an out wing backs, do you know if Azpillicueta will be moved on or given a chance or is it bit early too say?

4:Any news on CB targets Ed seems to of all gone very quiet does the club still want the Napoli guy in or has interest moved elsewhere?

5:has the club received any official bids for anyone has of yet and do you see Pedro and Oscar moving on this summer?

As always thanks for your time and patience for answering mine and everyone's questions ED002 and ED018 and ED001 all done great job long may it continue its very much appreciated.

For fellow supporters who wish to have a read and say:

Some interesting news developing if true Kante favors a move to Chelsea over an array of top clubs, If and big if this is true what a fantastic signing he could be for so many reasons, young, proven, cheapish considering his ability and other targets we have been looking at and proven BPL player.

Personally think this Batsman kid from Marseille could be a very shred signing looks a little raw but the potential is plain to see. Finding the right partner is key though Costa would be a great match has he could provide the hold up play and act as the target man allowing Batsman to make use of his dribbling skills and runs in behind the last man. But its looking ever more likely Costa is on his way out. IMHO Lukaku is the right man to replace him big powerful 20+ goals a season proven BPL young and good future sell on value potential. i'm not so keen on Morata too similar to Batsman though he is clearly a good player. I would just rather have two strikers who offer something a little different. Who would you prefer to partner Batsman?

With Conte 3-5-2 system hardworking wings with crossing ability is a must if Cuadrado can be convinced to try one last time we may already have one spot covered, manbear was terrible last year and i don't think he could play has a WB he's displays at RB didn't fill me a sense of security or creativity though he is still a good CB with plenty of experience, Baba looks to be heading to Lazio thank god he is terrible he can't cross or defend, kenedy might be a good shout for LWB but still only a kid and of course Dave always gives 100% good solid LB but offers little to nothing going forward what's peoples opinions would you like to see him stay or buy in a proper LWB and use kenedy in rotation?

Okay CB clearly we need to Sign one but i don't think its a major prority, Manbear, Terry, Cahill, Zouma obviously it would be nice to get an upgrade on Cahill but the other three are good enough and now playing three it should provide the cover for terry now his legs are not what they were i suspect he will have a good season. I haven't mentioned Christensen only because ED made it clear he will go on loan for at least another year and may well be sold, i know lot of us would rather have him with us next year but it is what it is who would you like the club to buy at CB and why?

Okay so i think that's covered probable in positions now for outs. As i said above known Strong interest in Baba and Costa, both whom i believe will be sold, also think mikel time is up should the club purchase Kante or another cdm with fabbers and Matic and RLC i can't see him getting games may well be best for both sides to part ways, But a big one that sticks out for me is Oscar where does he fit in if Hazard stays he should play just behind top 2 with the other 2 midfielders playing deeper and fabbers and traore and RLC can all cover that number 10 spot again i think its best for both sides to contemplate parting ways this summer Same for Pedro he left Barcelona for games and he can't defend so playing has a WB seems unlikely i wouldn't be supprisēd to see him go he's hardly set the world alight, Falcao, Pato gone, Remy on his way out to, Begovic likley to go to get playing time although i guess depends on what happens should Madrid or Barcelona come in for Courtois though after last years displays and the Euro's i don't see why they would hopefully changing the GK coach will cheers him a little and he can regain some confidence in early part of the season. Thoughts on out goings guys?

If you managed to read through this thank you have your say, criticize if you wish i wouldn't say i know too much but just what i think we need sure will be many differing opinions its just nice to hear them. All the best everyone Lampsy_8.

{Ed002's Note - (1) I have no idea what reports you have been reading and I do not read newspapers - so I cannot answer beyond what has been said before. (2) I suggest you ask Ed018. At least three forwards are leaving this summer and I have no intention of writing long lists of players the club has shown an interest in. (3) I am not aware of plans to sell Azpilicueta but there is interest in him and much will depend on what happens with Cuadrado - and I have no intention of writing long lists of players the club has shown an interest in. (4) The club continues to be interested in centre backs and have explored taking Juan Jesus as cover - but there is a reluctance from someone at the club. (5) I am not getting in to answering vague questions.}

1.) 02 Jul 2016 21:35:00
We're one of two clubs that Kante will consider this summer.

What's people's opinions on the current central defence besides the striker this is biggest concern for me I would sell rudiger really don't like him on the ball, Thiago should go to I'm sorry but he isn't the player he was and he doesn't seem fully focused, and is it just me or do you think Dave has had his time I mean I love the guy but he's is no longer effective in one on ones he's lost a yard of pace and he no longer gets forward in the way he used to granted he was on the flanks then but apart from experience i don't see what he adds.
Think zouma Christensen and some fresh blood is the best option or possible bring ampadu back give him a shot there also regret lampty going every time I see him for Brighton he's the stand out.

1.) 07 Apr 2021 19:43:28
I would get rid of Rudiger and Zouma both of them play like they have hobnails boots on. I would buy a decent CB and bring back Sarr and Tomori ( subject to Milan paying the agreed fee) . definitely keep Christensen.

2.) 07 Apr 2021 19:43:50
I think there could be a couple of changes at CH for next season.

What happens with Tomori could have a bearing on what happens.

{Ed002's Note - Tomori will leave.}

3.) 07 Apr 2021 19:45:42
Looks that way Ed.

4.) 07 Apr 2021 19:47:05
So let's get this right the defence and players that conceded virtually no goals for 14 games is suspect?
How do you rationalise this opinion?

5.) 07 Apr 2021 19:49:40
I think under Tuchel Rudiger has proven to be a much better option than Zouma. But it's all dependent on if we stick with a three or play with a two. Personally, baring a massive personnel overhaul, I think we should stick with the three. Rudiger, Christensen, Azpilicueta, Thiago Silva should all remain and I'd certainly do everything possible to get Tomori back from Milan. I'd also have Ampadu back to play either midfield or defence. Don't actually think it's an area we need to spend, especially if Silva stays on for another year.

6.) 07 Apr 2021 19:57:47
Strasbourg there is always room for improvement.

I agree about the improvement in Rudiger under TT but in the back of my mind I can’t forget the player with no sat nav.

Ed has said Tomori is leaving. Not seen enough of the Lad at Swansea and only clips of the lad at Porto.

Every time i mention the name of the player I would like I get pelters from a certain poster. Anyway, I think he may well end up at Utd.

7.) 07 Apr 2021 20:04:11
The defence has been well coached under TT and the coaching staff; that doesn’t mean Rudiger and Zouma are good players. I can’t see Silva staying next season. Also we need to able to play with a back four at some stage.

8.) 07 Apr 2021 20:06:51
I would love to know the CB who would improve what we have and would make sense to try and sign?
And assuming a CB from Germany or any other country would improve us is risky.

9.) 07 Apr 2021 20:18:20
I hope none from this country that’s for sure!

25 Mar 2021 03:24:43
Hi ed was just wondering if you could shed some light on something I read tonight regarding the FFP rules and that UEFA are looking at scraping them is this correct. ?

{Ed002's Note - They are not scrapping the rules, they are making changes as they do every year. It also makes no difference to the Premier League FFP rules. They are going to make gradual changes - but nothing is agreed. One fairly straightforward change is that exclusion from competition will be replaced with larger fines and caps on spending. This doesn't really impact the English sides. UEFA still want a Salary Cap - that won't suit everybody but it should suit many of the English sides. The only way it can work is as a firm % of turnover - currently it exists but is only recommended. For those clubs who generally work within the framework of being self sustaining the changes and any others they agree will not see any change. For clubs who wish to borrow and buy against debt, it will be easier for them (although it is not a good business model). One issue that may cause friction with some Football Associations is that any changes will be written to meet European Law which impact English sides in respect of Work Permits, buying kiddies from Europe etc.. Nothing is being scrapped - it is simply changes coming over the next 2 or 3 years.}

1.) 25 Mar 2021 16:39:06
Thank you for excelleny explanation Ed002 much appreciated.

{Ed002's Note - You are welcome.}

22 Sep 2020 16:31:05
Afternoon Ed I've had someone tell me PSG representatives and Chelsea representatives spoke over the weekend regarding the sale of a CFC player not going name who because it's not been reported anywhere yet but can you confirm these discussions took place if not I'll ignore future gossip with him in future thanks mate all the best.

{Ed002's Note - Chelsea and PSG met but I have no idea what Chelsea player you are referring to.}

1.) 22 Sep 2020 16:58:34
Well he told me discussions regarding the possible sale of kante or a loan deal for Bakayoko thanks for the fast reply mate stay safe.

{Ed002's Note - So he is guessing.}

28 Aug 2020 12:50:48
Some rebuild this is

Chillwell Thiago Dave James
Kante Kovacic
Pulisic Havertz Ziyech

That is some team if we lose Kante would need replacing and hoping for a new keeper but we been super lucky already may need a season to gel but this is some team

When you think you have mount cho rlc Giroud Gilmour all there aswell amazing really.

1.) 28 Aug 2020 13:29:47
Kante and Kova midfield doesn't work much.
We have to cash in on N'golo, as much as I like him, he doesn't suit our style of play.
I think he will go to Inter or PSG.
I'm more concerned about Jorgi and Barkley. Not many teams interested in them. We need a magical move from Marina to sell our unwanted players.

2.) 28 Aug 2020 14:00:37
I will be pleased if Rice happens but IMO their is no chance!

3.) 28 Aug 2020 14:50:52
Not being funny Lampsy but have you seen how small that team is? Only Havertz and Silva over 6ft and a keeper who doesn’t come and claim crosses. Awful that is it at least needs Zouma and Caballero.

10 Aug 2020 17:05:48
Hello Ed you asked me to remind you in couple of weeks regarding the sharkopod have you had any luck in getting it done or has work taken up your time sorry if I've missed anything regarding it I did do a search.

Guys please I beg of you no more questions on the defence and keeper please this guy does not change his mind best just let it be for the window or we may end up with nothing at all.

{Ed002's Note - It may be a couple of weeks and there is little to discuss.}

I won’t hold my breath but could you imagine having Werner and Havertz with Ziyech and the young guys around them too that team would be able to play against anyone not to mention they all so young that’s a team that could dominate in a couple of years. So much versatility in the squad too. Exciting times dread to think how much the package in total for him would be though got to be 160 mil plus.

In all fairness Tom how much more do you want him to progress even if he stays has he is right now the guy is deadly he has a fierce shot and he isn’t afraid to have a go he makes the right runs his decision making is impeccable if he improves any more he will be among the top 5 players in world football for me he is by far the best option we could get him has he is now would gurantee you 20+ goals a season he also performs in Europe and internationally for a team that isn’t all that he still finds the net I honestly believe he would suit us down to the ground but I don’t see it happening.

12 mil is 12 mil then you have agents fees and wages to take into account we don’t need any more forwards anyhow Manchester United can’t be as secure financially as us they seem to make repeated mistakes who is is going to replace there Rashford martial greenwood all young kids not going to get a game anytime soon.

Yeah big big game tonight hopefully there is no complacency because like you say realistically we need to be getting the three points here And I think we will saying that the Norwich players may well try and put them self’s on the market so to speak so hopefully we hit them hard and fast.
