The big issue is the midfield. Hence, poor protection at the back and poor link with the attack. If this is not sorted we are not going to do well. I do not rate Kante. Kovacic sometimes he is good but his decision making lately to shoot has summed up our lack of options.

I rated Kante before but he’s best as box to box in a two because it’s his natural instinct to chase the ball. That’s why Rice would be perfect on his own or next to him.

Kovacic I have never rated. Don’t know what he does apart from dribble. He offers no defensive protection whatsoever and can’t pass or shoot exceedingly well.

Exactly! At least he's moved on from always going a name with to upper case letters. A bit harder to spot, but then again, you're never in doubt once you read the stuff he writes!
