Unfortunately for us Greenwood is everything we hoped CHO was and a bit more. Fine player united have got.

I hope we can tie Willian down for another couple of years not sure CHO can be that regular player just yet and good thing Mount, Havertz and even RLC can cover wide if necessary. (Yes I just assumed Havertz is already a blue, deal with it 😎)

I don’t know if I would say CHO was over-praised and it went to his head; I now see that Mauricio Sarri handled CHO well and the comments he made about CHO was correct. CHO has to work hard and improve on a lot of things about his game cos at the moment, I feel his strongest point is just his ability to take on players 1v1. He has to improve his link-up play and learn to play in the middle of the pack (coming in from the flanks) - at the moment, he looks to me an out n out winger which isn’t good for a modern day winger.

I agree with you ElI, Greenwood is delivering everything we would have hoped CHO would deliver. Greenwood looks so good if I'm honest, his finishing is incredible. Let's see if he can carry this onto next season. If he can then I'm afraid Utd have a very special player who has a very good head in him.

CHO will come good for sure, he needs to focus and train very hard. We are not writing off CHO by any stretch of the means but his got a battle on his hands to get minutes now.

My worry about CHO is that he doesn’t seem to have a footballing brain and I feel like he’s got a ridiculous amount to improve on. Hoping he comes good but I am really struggling to see it.

Greenwood is class, I can't remember seeing a more natural finisher at his age. He's proving that if you give him space anywhere around the box, on either foot, he'll punish you.

But, let's have a little perspective on Hudson-Odoi. I don't think we should be thinking about the type of player we thought he was, we should be thinking about the type of player he can be.

He ruptured his achilles at the end of last season, we're not talking about a little muscle injury here - that's a really serious injury. He's return has been hampered by the type of niggling injuries you'd often associate with returning from such an injury - he hasn't been able to have a consistent run in the side this season because of these injuries.

Despite that he has four assists in the league this season, same as Mount and Barkley whilst only Azpilicueta and Willian have more for us this season. He still definitely has to work hard, but let's not be too negative on the lad just yet.

Hudson-Odoi is 19 for crying out loud. Let him get fully fit first before we judge him.
Greenwood is a great player, no denying it, but he also hasn't been injured for 12 months.

That's a fair view Blue Con. He certainly has a battle on his hands.

I'm not writing off CHO RJ28P (see my post) . But he has put himself on the shop window to be criticised given his behaviour off the field during lockdown. Plus how Lampard talks about him is important, almost reminding him of his potential and how he needs to buckle down. He now has a battle on his hands for minutes with Pulisic and the arrival of Ziyech. Let's hope he can deliver.

Very good post by the way J.

Shak, I completely agree with you that I’m not writing him off but he’s got so much to improve on. Obviously we all think we’ve got footballing Brains and how we want certain players to play but Whenever I see CHO he always looks like he doesn’t know what to do. Fingers crossed he will be the player we all hope he can be.
