Read that Chelsea wouldn't release Sarri until a manger is in place at chelsea, so Ed's does that mean frank is all but done or is there a twist to this managerial positions at chelsea,

{Ed001's Note - Chelsea were always willing to let Sarri go if he wanted to go, just like they do with players. They don't hold staff to ransom. It has been a policy since Roman took over that they only want those who are happy to be there.}

Makes sense, there still an shortlist / interview stage or is frank the one now,

{Ed001's Note - as far as I know, which is not from the Chelsea side so it could be wrong, Frank is the chosen man. Certainly Derby are worried about losing him.}

And also. Any sign of chelsea wanting the ban frozen to add anyone or they accepted and will go ahead with current players plus young loanees integrated into squad.

{Ed001's Note - I don't know what's happening there, it is between directors and lawyers, everything in the press is pure speculation. I would assume it comes down to whether or not Chelsea feel they will win. It is difficult to tell for sure.}

Cheers ed for responses, hopefully additions can be made. Think frank will need some match winners, When Sarris tactics and plan A wasn’t working he had hazard to get us over the line, frank won’t have that so I think he will beee some help,

{Ed001's Note - it might help to have the players not rely on one player so much though. Liverpool were the same with Coutinho but the team lifted so much once he left and they stopped looking to him it was much better.}

Agree but Liverpool had a CF who does the dirty work in pressing and dropping and links play who also scores and mane and salah either side, we have Giroud and an aging Willian / Pedro, and hoping Pulisic can hit the ground running and adding to that a manager who we don’t know how he will get on just the face the fans will back him even when / if things aren’t going well, it’s almost as if we’re starting the season expecting it to be poor but ktrying to keep fans onside,

{Ed001's Note - it was more that the players stopped looking to others than it is was about who was there mate. It was the same when Gerrard left too, the team actually played better as a team.}

Plus Liverpool invested the coutinho money in VVD and Allison which ultimately made the difference in previous seasons, we can’t with hazard money which is a double blow.

{Ed001's Note - Allison only came in for last season, Coutinho effectively left the season before due to his feigning injury and playing up for most of the first half of the season before leaving in Jan. Honestly it did help bringing in van Dijk but you have 40 players (or however many it is) to come back from loan that could have a similar effect. Pulisic is a major talent too, he could be just as influential in time as Hazard.}

Really looking forward to seeing Pulisic, his direct a work horse,

Matt, it is true Liverpool did invest in a keeper and centre half but it could be argued that we have already made those investments in the last two windows.

Also, if some of our brighter loan players are in the squad they have a chance to impress the new manager in training and then matches.

Those positions were examples, we need a few additions but ultimately we need a world class striker that we could again be without, and same for a world class midfielder who can contribute to goals, or a left back who doesn’t wish he was a winger, Liverpool lost a player and invested in were they needed to, we don’t have that luxury, Zouma / James etc may help with some depth but we lack goals,

I agree about the lack of a goal scorer but it’s looks to me as if we will have Giroud, Tammy and Michy as our choices.

We will win the Premiership easy, NO worries!

Obviously we will win it but it’s going to be a problem scraping 1-0’s with no goals, Giroud is a back up, Michy gets loaned out and doesn’t even become a guaranteed starter anywhere, and Tammy is ok I’m championship. let’s be very clear there’s a bit of a difference.

This is the time of the year when I hope every Chelsea supporter, like you and me Matt, truly believe we win next seasons Premiership.

I also believe, we have to except that it’s unlikely we will ask for the ban to be postponed. If we do that, we are left with opportunities for some of our better loan players being given a chance to stake a claim for first team football.

I think adding them to our current squad and with a better work ethic from every player we will win the Premiership comfortably.

As above Ed's really appreciate your replies/ input. Just a thought and looking for peoples and Ed's opinions. We had IMO the beast of a centre forward, perfectly suited to the EPL in Diego, apparantly not wanted by Athelico now. Yes, he may be a little delicate off the field, and on field wasn't what Conte obviously wanted, however I still think he's the centre forward we need back.
If appointed I think Lampard would get the very best out of him.
Straight swap for Morata, couldn't be happier.
As for the potential appt of Frank, yes, I agree with some posters out there, possibly a year or two too soon, however, what people don't take into account is Lampards high intelligence and the respect he would have from current players, many of which have played alongside him.
Hopefully if appointed he gets time (at Chelsea, yeah right lol) to create a culture within the club rather than a "win everything or your'e gone" attitude that our more recent "fans" seem to buy into.
I welcome yor comments.

{Ed001's Note - I think you would not recognise the Costa of now. Last time I saw him he had piled on the pounds and was back to being the 'not giving a toss' Costa. Someone like him at his best, perfect, but he is never going to be at his best for more than a couple of months at a time.}
