Any news on managerial front Ed's? Have you heard anything for us polite Chelsea fans?

{Ed001's Note - it looks sure to be Lampard, Chelsea are happy to pay the compensation and bring him in.}

1.) 17 Jun 2019 16:44:16
great something positive around the club for a change
wish him the best and let's stick by him through thick an thin

2.) 17 Jun 2019 17:12:13
That's a good one from the club. Thanks Ed.

{Ed001's Note - welcome mate.}

3.) 17 Jun 2019 18:12:54
Praying they get ban froze and get frank off to a good start, rathe a two window ban after a window than before.

4.) 17 Jun 2019 18:37:52
To be honest I would risk the ban and settle for a top 6 finish if he could really get these youth players in.

I know people will say you cant, but just a vision from a u10 youth coach. Nothing better than seeing the development. Of our own players.

5.) 18 Jun 2019 07:51:21
It's a huge gamble with Frank which I think it is worth taking. However I hope it works because I'm sure the fans will revolt if it goes awry regardless of his legendary status.
I would wish him all the best and support him once he is appointed.
No matter whatever you think, I would not want us to serve the ban right away unless it's impossible to overturn.

6.) 18 Jun 2019 08:56:51
If I were you Matt, I won't expect anything from Chelsea. The future is very pregnant and no one knows what it will give birth to.

22 Jul 2018 19:50:37
Any truth to us accepting a bid for Willian?

1.) 22 Jul 2018 20:55:01
I hope so 😂.

2.) 23 Jul 2018 07:05:32
just heard it myself apparently done deal.

3.) 23 Jul 2018 07:09:59
There's no smoke without fire. If Chelsea's interest for Martial gathered pace at this time then just maybe we would have accepted or are close to accepting a bid for Willian.

4.) 23 Jul 2018 11:42:20
Interested by the 3 dislikes on my comment. Are people unhappy with the news of us selling Willian for what is rumoured to be £67m? Personally that’s a massive fee for a 29 year old that has never been consistent for us anyway. 15/ 16 when he was player of the year everyone was that poor that he had it sewn up by November and really wasn’t good enough to win player of the year any other season if he performed like that. Provided it’s reinvested into a Leon Bailey or Martial I’m very happy with this news.

5.) 23 Jul 2018 12:30:13
i'd take the money and buy bailey or insigne personally myself.

04 Jan 2016 18:21:29
Hi ed I know from what you have said that we are interested in Teixera but does that mean any of our players look like they would leave as we would have a few players in his position.

{Ed002's Note - I would not get carried away with "position" but a couple of the returning loanees will go out on loan, one or two might leave and a couple of others out on loan will not be returning.}

1.) 05 Jan 2016 11:38:58
Will Teixera go straight into the squad or out on loan?

{Ed002's Note - In to the squad.}

2.) 05 Jan 2016 12:12:49
Thanks ed.

Hey Ed's any news on Hudson odoi contract situation with Munich knocking on the door again?

{Ed001's Note - there is nothing we can say. He has offers on the table and it is up to him to choose. All a personal decision so nothing we can do to know what he will do.}

1.) 27 Jun 2019 19:03:44
Thanks for the reply. I hope he signs the Chelsea contract and is given the number 10.

23 Jun 2019 19:37:29
Anybody know when we are going to get Lampard?

1.) 23 Jun 2019 19:47:32
Next week.

2.) 24 Jun 2019 11:40:43
As I stated in a post a few weeks back, Cech would be appointed first and then Lampard with his assistant being Jody Morris, the appointment will be made this week. Chelsea's lawyers are still looking at the detail of the FIFA ban but I understand the club will not ask the ban to be lifted while awaiting the CAS hearing which should be in several months time.

3.) 24 Jun 2019 11:48:57
Friday would be my guess. He's on Holiday at the moment.

4.) 24 Jun 2019 13:42:09
Benitez leaving Newcastle - Please no.

5.) 24 Jun 2019 17:13:35
MDW. Chill out. Not happening. No scare mongering.

6.) 24 Jun 2019 23:50:22
Why what's he done.

25 Mar 2019 09:45:37
hi eds
a question on the youth as that is topic of the moment.
which is the most highly thought of youth striker at Chelsea. i know a lot will point to Tammy but i thought that ugbo was regarded as higher hopes of making it but has not really done much from a loan point of view.
thanks in advance.

{Ed002's Note - The club really don't grade them like that. Certainly when he was very young Ugbo was very well thought og.~

I really don’t understand how CHO is not good enough for us but Munich want him.

Just play the kid for god sake am more interested in bringing the likes of CHO, loftus jay dasilva mount than watching Willian.

1.) 30 Dec 2018 12:44:37
Madrid wanted Josh Mceachran, his playing for Brentford and isn’t there best player, just because big teams want a player doesn’t always make them good enough. Solanke wanted regular football or more football and his not shinning or making an impact,

2.) 30 Dec 2018 13:53:44
Too soon to bring up josh Matt.

3.) 30 Dec 2018 14:35:18
OK, Solanke then!

The grass isn’t always greener!

Anyway, I think CHO will stay and play for the Mighty Blues.

4.) 30 Dec 2018 22:05:13
I remember Barcelona being interested in Carlton Cole when he was about the same age as CHO - difficult to assess an 18-year-olds development.

21 Jul 2018 10:13:15
Third bid for Willian take it and get Leon Bailey!

1.) 21 Jul 2018 10:43:01
Perhaps if Bailey was a definite but the danger is that we lose Willian and Hazard - are two best attacking players - in same window and cannot replace them with anything like the smae quality. Would hope that the club would want deals for genuinely quality replacements (though Hazard probably irreplaceable) organised before any sales.

Hi ed not really interested in transfer rumours. This is more of interest to me.
Is there any news on Rubens injury, how bad was it, how long does this sort of injury take to heal.

Just been watching some of his videos, although you always see the best bits but he is some player. Mainly the games for palace.

As I have said before I would like to see kante mount and Ruben.

{Ed001's Note - I am not 100% sure, as different people tell you different things, you can talk to one person who tells you there is nothing to worry about and the next will tell you his career is likely over. As Chelsea won't give full info out, it is difficult to be sure who is right.

The very fact that they are not giving out full info suggests there is a serious problem there, but it is only inference, as that is all we can go on. I certainly don't expect him back this season and there do seem to be issues for the long term with him. He is certainly not a quick healer, so any dates given out are rarely correct, as he usually takes longer than the standard time.

From what has been said by people who have worked with him in the past, there is a problem there, one did say they expect RLC to end up being extremely injury-prone and unlikely to ever play a full season in his career. However, they could have an axe to grind, so again a pinch of salt is needed.}

You say he will have to be at his best for 3 years lmfao but you won't play him thank God you ain't our manager.
Give the boy a chance to become a man if it doesn't work then look else where.
Just does my head in people shouting for odoi then not wanting to give him a chance.

Ed001 I completely agree with you. And rlc is one of my favourite players as I have said before I would love to see a midfield of
Rlc mount

Then with a front three of

Pulisic odoi

Never liked barkley but the club took a gamble on a player with premier league experience and it hasn't paid off.

But I saw hazard as a £30 + million gamble aswell but that one did pay off.

{Ed001's Note - Hazard was a top tier gamble though. That's the kind of gamble you have to take to win things.}

I hate to hear us say we wasted money on players. Let's be honest the players people are mentioning are all gambles weather you buy hazard or barkley who knows if they would workout or not. It could be down to our system that doesn't work for them or personal reasons (home sick, culture)

Some signing come off and some don't it doesn't mean the club are settling for second best or fifth best if you listen to people on here. You can't spend beyond your means anymore. So why would we pay over the odds for players.

I personally wouldn't buy Sancho, zaha, baily I would give hudson odoi the time,
I wouldn't buy ake or koulibly I would give tomori the time.
Not chilwill I would give that young LB the time.

I would settle for a period of time with the young lads that are chelsea bread.

{Ed001's Note - is that not the point though? That Chelsea should have done that a while ago, instead of buying the likes of Barkley that were clearly second rate signings before they were signed. Chelsea have such a good youth system that the only players bought should be top tier players, who fill gaps in the team or clearly improve on the ones already there, such as Kante. The likes of Barkley were just wasted money, on a player with a known drink and attitude problem, when you already had better options such as RLC in your squad.}

I don't get the var with hand ball! If it's in the attacking phase and touches the hand on purpose or not and leads to a goal it is ruled out.

Look at azpi goal that spun up and hit tammy hand.

But it's not the same in the defensive phase. I think they should either scrap the attacking one or use it the same for defending.

At the end of the day sometimes you can't help it hitting your hand when it spins off or bounces.

Favourite Player - mount/ loftus cheek. I hope to see them both in that midfield soon. Love them because they are english! And our future

Best Player - Kovacic, the way he turns in close quarters and drives through players this year he has been phenomenal.

Worst Player - Barkley should of never brought him and played loftus.

Most Overrated - Jorginho, I think kovacic is making him look good.

Most Underated - Willian, he does my head in when he slows down play. But when he plays like he did against spurs. Wow just WOW

Best Youngster - Hudson odoi - he will be world class (I hope)

Player You Wish Didn't Leave - Robben, he was the only player that I thought left too early.

Just shows why the club wouldn't want him back, as it looks like he is trouble first us then united.

I could be wrong tho.
