Does anyone else think Kenedy should be played before Willian? What we saw in the crystal palace game from Kenedy was better than what Willian did the entire game (and Kenedy was playing left back!). We should really give him a start and let him show us what he can do.

Willian's work rate can't be faulted, but he creates very little and doesn't score enough.

I don't understand all the negative comments about Willian. Against West Brom he was our best player and ran the midfield until JT got sent off. There are several other players who I would criticise before Willian - Fabregas hasn't performed since before Xmas and Hazard not only isn't playing well but doesn't seem that bothered (see Palace's winner).
Having said that, I do believe that Kenedy will end up as midfield player in the mould of Essien.

Although Fabregas isn't doing well so far, we have already seen what he can do. There is still a possibility of him returning to that great form we saw him in last year. This isn't the case with Willian. He has been consistently poor and although his workrate is great, workrate doesn't win games, goals do. It's time to mix the team up and introduce new faces before we are left behind on the table. This should stary with Kenedy.

We seriously need to reconsider Willian's and Iva's role in the team. They are the weakest links in the team and should be replaced.

Have to agree, Willian offers very little for a front 4 player and plays lazy(ironic) when we have the ball deep. He makes very few runs and cuts and acts as if he's allergic to the 18yd box and stands around a lot. Hazard could also do a lot more in this match.

There are so many positives to take away from the game. Top notch defensive line. Rarely any mistakes made which created a lot of momentum and released pressure on the team. Midfield, most of the time, made the right decisions in passing, dribbling ect. Poor from Torres but can't expect much when most of the game is played with our attacking midfielders, especially when they tend to cut inside instead of cross. If we played like this against a lower calibre team, we would dominate the whole game. Very impressive display today.

Mourinho must find a way to include our strikers in our plays. They either dribble the ball until it's lost because they are up front by themselves or they receive the ball and offload it back to the trio behind them. I can't remember the last time Torres or any of our strikers got into a position and shot from outside the box. I think because of the trio behind our striker, we try to mess with the ball to much or try to pass it into the net. Maybe using a two striker formation may help but, in my opinion, this is what we have to sort out the most. Lukaku and lewandowski are the two strikers I want to see at chelsea as soon as possible. Both have great presence in the box and can only get better.

Thanks for all the info eds. Greatly appreciate the list made about the players chelsea are interested in. Don't pay attention to the people that get on your nerves and pay more attention to those that truly appreciate your input because it is so helpful and we hope you can keep it up for as long as possible. Thanks for all the updates and have a merry Christmas and a happy new year.

1.) Generally I have to agree with you, especially about striker issue.

It's not a miracle, it's skill with a bit of luck. Respect to Chelsea for playing till the last whistle. This match has made me proud to call myself a Chelsea fan purely because of the heart they displayed throughout the game and keeping the will to stay in the champions league. I will be the first to admit I didn't think they would come back but they managed to pulled through. Congratulations to the team but we couldn't have done it without the legend himself, Frank Lampard. Some take decades to be recognised as a legend but we have one playing with us now and the day he leaves will be a regretful one for the club. Looking forward to the next few matches, especially the Europa league final.

We havn't even seen him play for the team yet. Please don't overrate him already. I'm really looking forward to him playing though. Anything would be better than Ivan right now.

I don't think Fabregas has been too poor. I can't say the same for Willian though. Mou seriously must consider his role in the team. Oscar could provide so much more IMO. Ivanovic is still looking slow on the side as well and we really need a fast young right back to fill in his spot (AZPI PLEASE!)

I don't think he is very good player as he loses his temper quite easily and does not possess any strong defensive skills (tackling, tracking back etc.). Although his dribbling and ball skills are good, his negative traits far outweigh his positive, which is probably why clubs are steering away from him.

It's very funny to see that the school skippers seem to have such an effect on you Welsh. Please stop looking for attention and either continue using this for its comprehensive and valuable information, as well as communicating with other loyal fans, or just leave and go to another teams page and complain like you seem to have been doing for the passed few days. Not everyone agrees with other peoples opinions and there will always be haters. Just chill and view arguements from both sides and this site will be a lot more enjoyable, for yourself and others.
