Antonio Conte was the best Chelsea signing in last 12 years, tbh Chelsea finally has tactician with brain, passion and knowledge at the same time.

fair enough point and he is turning out to be a fantastic acquisition, but don't forget what Jose did for us it would be fickle. granted i myself also used to think he somtimes acted like a child but he won us a lot and many good memories football is football people come and they go AC has yet to win a single trophy however likley that is to be we shoudl all still be gratefull for what we have had too. just mho.

Jose mourinho took over a team who finished second to Arsenals invincible's that had also got to the semi final of the champions league that season, then mourinho comes in and brings 2 players who won the champions league the season before carvahlio and ferriera, oh and Cech and drogba, and robben, I'm not taken away what mourinho did, but just think if a team finished 2nd in the league who had Terry, gallas, lampard gudjonson, makalele, crespo, Veron ect!, then added the likes of robben drogba cech, carvaliho, and so on I'm pretty sure that any team finishing second would go on to win the season with these additions, and then he later got cole, essien, ballack and shevchenko, come on almost any top manager would have won something with these players.

{Ed002's Note - Cech and Robben were not purchased by Mourinho but by Ranieri.}

Cat, if you want to see the impact Mourihno has made to the team when he came you need to listen to few interviews of his players. He is born winner (maybe his stubbornes changed him in recent years) but to say he wasn't a success in his first time round is an understatement to say the least.

He made us top club and recognisable force in England and Europe.

I know robben and cech wasn't mourinho signings, but they arrived the same summer he did, I know mourinho had an impact, I just think with that group of players a couple of top managers could of won 2 leagues in 3 and a half seasons, same as him I think he hit the brief didn't go beyond it he just done what was expected, from a team who finished second and semi of champions league, my point is other managers than him could have taken a team from second to first, with them players, come on it's not that special, now taking a team from 10 th to 1 st would be speacial for me.

Jose deserves our respect and will always be a legend at the club. Conte reminds me of Carlo (still a mystery why he got the tin tack) he is class, with a proven winning mentality.
